First of all, what do you like? Anime or manga?
For me, I love them both! It’s like I just can’t get enough of watching anime and reading manga, it’s my hobby. Even though I’ve already watched and read them I don’t get tired of them. It’s because I’m addicted to anime and manga.
What is anime? What is manga?
Animes are Japanese hand-drawn or computer animations while mangas are Japanese comics. From what I had watched and read, there is little difference between the two. For example, in manga when they turn it into anime sometimes it’s incomplete and it has different significant events. I have already watched many anime because since I was young it was the only thing I ever watched, but sometimes I also watch cartoons, but more on anime.
I had forgotten the first anime I had watched; I think it was Astroboy. And for manga, I started reading it when I was in elementary, Grade 6. Whenever I start to remember how I started reading it, I think it’s very funny because the first manga I read was a yaoi which is about homosexuals. At first when I was watching anime I thought that, that genre didn’t exist because the only genre I watched were action, shounen, rom-com, and shoujo. Now I learned that there are many different kinds of genre.

From watching
anime and reading manga, there are some benefits from it. Like, we can know the
Japanese culture, traditions and many others. Before I became a Nihongojin I
learned some Japanese words from watching anime online. For those who haven’t
tried watching anime and reading manga, it won’t hurt you to try. And I believe
we are never too old to enjoy this kind of hobby.
Here are my top 5 anime:
1. Bleach
3. D. Gray-man
5. Kimi ni Todoke
Here are my top 5 manga:
1. Ouran High School Host Club
2. Last Game
3. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
4. Love so life
5. Kamisama Hajimemashita
I hope you try to watch and read these anime and manga. And see if you can enjoy them too. :)
