The Amazing Stories of Yexel's Museum just had its grand launch last December 5, 2014 and your friendly neighborhood pambansang blogger just had to be there to cover it myself.
I'm a fan of Yexel Sebastian's work, as well as avid followers of his guests like Alodia Gosiengfiao, Eric Ejercito, Myrtle Sarrosa, Brian Poe Llamanzres, Moymoy Palaboy, Roadfill Sparks and even Chicser....seriously! Yexel's other museums are equally incredible especially the one in Las Pinas with the giant Optimum Prime bust! This one at the 2nd level of the Manila Ocean Park is indeed a venue where amazing stories can be forever told.
A truly family-friendly attraction where even the kids-at-heart can marvel at the fascinating life-size replicas of famous very and familiar characters form the movies and comic books, plus lots of other stuff on display at this incredible toy museum where learning comes natural as children and adults immerse themselves to the world of fantasy and movie magic.
An interview with a Manila Ocean Park official said the museum is a collaboration between them and Yexel. They initiated the arrangement to come up with this truly amazing display of sculptures mostly made from styrofoam and other light materials. Though the creations are images taken from the movies and comic book characters we all loved, Yexel personally created them with love and passion. You'll be amazed at the life-size sculptures of the cute Chipmunks, the adorable Minions room, of Spiderman, the Lord of the Rings including Ganfalf the Wizard, the Star wars with Lord Darth Vader, and most especially the Ironman room with all the intricately-designed Ironman suits on display.

Aside from being a producer, director, scriptwriter and actor of his short videos, Yexel manufactures and sells toys. He started collecting toys from fastfood outlets at the very young age of 7. Though he became a member of a popular dance group and worked abroad, he continued to collect toys as an undying passion. he is now an Internet sensation with more than 500K fan base in social media.
Yexel believes toys are important part of a child's life because it cultivates the imagination, encourages critical and strategic thinking and builds positive childhood memories. We all have very unforgettable happy memories with our toys during our childhood, and continues to cheer us up even until adulthood. There are even many collectors who spend so much money buying expensive toys to add to their collection.
I have lots of photos to share with you but I selected just a few so you will have little problems viewing this blog post.
That door knob is so strong it was able to support my weight.
It's either the gravity went berserk or I've just turned into a Spiderman wannabee in this awesome inverted room where all the stuff is hanging from the ceiling.
Hanging from a building edge...but never fear for Spiderman is near and ready to save me from a nearing fall to my death.
All thumbs up with the adorably cute minions characters from the Despicale Me animated movie.
The Chipmunks Alvin, Theodore and Simon invited me to sing with them.
Being in the room with these lovely ladies of cosplay (Alodia Gosiengfiao and Myrtle Sarrosa) plus the equally lovely Mikee Trixia Agustin, makes me wanna swoon in delight as they are very popular and highly recognizable worldwide.
It is times like this that I wish I had better photo and video covering gadgets with spare batteries, plus my own photographer so I won't have to ask everyone if they could take my photo. But I did my best anyway, and earned some acquaintances from fellow members of the media, plus the other guests and VIPs invited during the launch. Knowing I've exerted all effort possible is good enough for me.
Yexel Sebastian was so emotional and literally cried with happiness but mixed with frustration because his sick brother, who helped him built his creations, could not make it to the launch. He was so thankful for his great friends and family supporting him that night.

The grand launch was over but I stayed on until later when I heard about a sudden dance video they were planning to do. I was very fortunate overhearing the plan so I was also able to take my own videos from the rehearsal to the actual and final sets. I guess they will be putting on top the Shabooya music from 99 Percent during video editing and mixing.
Eric Ejercito was the choreographer of the dance moves and was so eager instructing everyone of the right steps. He even tried inviting the other visitors to join them but everyone else form the crowd was just so shy.
I know you are so envious right now. Admit it! Sharing a photo ops with these ladies is an epic achievement!
The gang is partially complete as more celebrity guests arrived. And who sat on Ironman?... It's Ash from Pokemon...Oh, he's better than Ash...It's Eric Ejercito! The guy I adore for his equally amazing Captain America "Capsicle" backpack with hood. He has a new design inspired by another character we all know as Deadpool that's out already. If Yexel makes lifesize sculptures of famous characters from the movies and comic book world, Eric builds smaller ones like figurines that's perfect as collectibles. He also paints really well.
Yexel Sebastian, Eric Ejercito and Moymoy Palaboy poses for Wazzup Pilipinas
Grab an opportunity to share a seat with Ironman....Hhhmmm looks like a familiar seating pose as that of the burger fastfood character.
I wish I did this same pose but circumstances prevented me from doing so. This guy was just so fast to be able to do this just at the right time when no one was lurking around the Ironman displays.
Apparently, there's also a minion mascot going around aside form another guy in a penguin suit.
Myrtle Sarrosa poses with the menacing Darth Vader. Loved her outfit that made her oozing in sensuality!
Ribbon cutting ceremonies with some Manila Ocean Park officials, the architect, the Tourism officer of Manila, the mother and sister of Yexel, Mikee Agustin and Myrtle Sarrosa.
Congratulations to Yexel Sebastian for an amazing museum. You inspire kids to follow their dreams and live their passion to turn it into a profitable business business.
Wazzup Pilipinas will always support Filipino creativity and fine craftsmanship of superb quality.
