It's finally out! Breakfast Magazine's year ender and starter (December - January 2014) issue!
Ross Del Rosario, founder of Wazzup Pilipinas - an online community blog awarded as one of the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2013 and Most Outstanding Filipino Community Blog of 2013, is among those featured as guest writer for the said issue. Ross writes about the holiday feast offered by Diamond Hotel Philippines in an article entitled "Diamond Hotel's Delectable Christmas Feast: Delightful Dishes for a Festive December".
"I still remember the photo shoot we did on site with the help of by photographer Justin De Jesus, and the editors of Breakfast magazine, where we captured on film the remarkable food creations of the hotel. This was a few months before the actual release of the article. I imagined it takes a lot more dedication coming out with a magazine. Unlike blogs, a magazine and its feature articles takes a considerable amount of time to prepare with regards to writing the actual story, proofreading, processing the photos, and everything else that, honestly, I am not really aware of."

Photography by Justin de Jesus - Imagine a "Del Rosario" for a writer and a "De Jesus" for a photographer. Lol!
Bloggers have it easier. Writers, who have editors and proofreaders to scrutinize and correct their work passes through a more rigid screening process. Their works are carefully dissected to identify mistakes and unlike blogs where bloggers can easily go back to edit their grammar errors and misspelled words, its the final print for the magazines where mistakes will be there forever unless reprinted, which is a very rare occasion.
Thank you to Diamond Hotel for allowing us to feature their holiday special dishes in the magazine, and to Breakfast magazine for giving me the opportunity to do the feature. Special thanks for mentioning Wazzup Pilipinas, and quoting that it is "a community blog comprised of today's most widely eaten, widely traveled and widely read writers of the country".
