Taking "Selfies" : Fun and Self-Gratifying

Wazzup Pilipinas!

1, 2, 3 ClICK! Taking pictures is one way of treasuring moments. We took pictures because of several reasons. And some of these are that a sight is beautiful, eye-catching, stunning, spectacular, breathtaking or awesome. Good thing technologies were improved to capture happenings instantly. But there’s this one type of taking pictures of oneself that gets viral through social networking sites. It is what they called “SELFIE”.

It is surprising how people easily embrace the way of taking selfies. I even saw lots of selfie pictures in FB, Instagram and Twitter. People enjoys taking selfie of themselves with various expressions like “fresh from bath”, “Just walk up”, “OOTD (Outfit Of The Day)” , fierce and wacky poses. This way made taking selfie enjoyable. And possibly, the compliments people get from the pictures they posted makes selfie more fun to do.

With the compliments they received, it will make them more confident with themselves.  It will rise up their self-esteem.  And this may also be one way of expressing oneself.

But on the other hand, once someone gets a negative feedback or comment about his selfie photo, it might greatly affect them emotionally. So when you want to say something bad about others selfie, better tell the person in a nice way or just keep it to yourself. And if you are the one who have received negative comments, it is better not to take it seriously instead be yourself and take selfie as many as you want. Others may ignore it anyway.

  1. It is nice to see nowadays that we are proud of what we have but we should always be careful, try to think before posting anything in social medias because sometimes it will just make our personal dignities lower because we might be only thinking for our own good.

  2. I don't like taking selfies. But I really like this website. Check it out.
