The Burning of the Effigies by the Colombians: Kalma Lang, Hindi Natin Kailangang Bumawi

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The controversial burning of Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Steve Harvey effigies in Colombia enraged netizens in the Philippines. Even Filipinos living in other countries have something to say against the Colombians, especially the guy seen burning the effigies.

This prompted Ethel Booba to post on her Twitter account another humorous reply towards the action of the Colombian. She seems to be in a roll and keeps coming up with witty rebuttals to all the ludicrous realities out there.

Imagine what it would be like if we are with her 24/7? Must be a lot of rolling on the floor laughing out loud like there's no tomorrow.

It was necessary for everyone to react because by that act alone by the Colombians, they have shown the world, the universe rather, that they are not confidently beautiful with a heart. Bitterness does not tell beauty, and it is an attribute of its exact opposite. Why blame the Philippines? Move on!

However, let's understand the netizens of Columbia. They are still in pain. We have to show them how sweet and humble Filipinos are. All of us should get a move on. We know better than that...huwag nating patulan. Let's show our grace.

Some have said that the true meaning of the burning of the effigies for the Colombians was to forget about that incident. It's a tradition to burn all their regrets and everything they want to let go through the symbolism of burning images of the things they want to leave in the past just as many of us use firecrackers to drive away evil spirits.

We have won the Miss Universe title fair and square. Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach truly deserves the reign. Nobody would dare question the beauty both inside and out of the Filipinos. All of our Miss Philippines candidates are more than deserving.

Cheers also to Ethel for putting some humor into the issues. You've made it very clear that you are more than just a comedian because there is truth in every statement you utter.
