Skincare Tips from Proactiv+ 3-Step Clear Skin System

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Our skin is our largest organ that is primarily seen before everything else. We could definitely say that everything else would be at their best if our skin is naturally glowing at its finest and most well-cared for.

But our skin is also the most prone to several kinds of maintenance challenge as the vast area from head to toe is literally a huge responsibility tbat is often neglected or mistreated.

According to a famous beauty blogger Mallorie Owens, our skin is also the most sensitive and easily susceptible to adverse conditions and situations many of which are unpredictable due to irregular climate temperatures, unforeseen pests infestations, pollution such as smoke from vehicles or smokers, from toiletries, skin care, facial washes and cosmetics we use on a daily basis, our medicine intakes, and even from the food we eat thus affecting our skin from the insides.

In order to treat our skin right, here are some free advice from Proactiv dermatologist Dr. Laura Savage on how to take care of your skin.

Dr. Savage studied Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, where she also obtained an honours degree in pathology. She trained as a Dermatologist within the Yorkshire Deanery. This included three-and-a-half years of research investigating the use of biological therapy in psoriatic disease culminating in the award
of a PhD degree.

Tip #1 - Cleanse gently and wisely

While deep cleansing sounds desirable to purify oily blemish-prone skin, over-washing and harsh cleansers can do more damage than good – by stripping away the protective barrier, skin is left dry and vulnerable to bacteria. Avoid using soap too – the high pH of soap will dry the skin and
cause a compensatory surge in oil production, leaving skin in a confused state with an undesirable combination of dry and greasy patches.

Choose a cleanser containing helpful anti-inflammatory ingredients such as salicylic
acid to help soothe inflamed pimples, and gently massage over the entire face and neck for at least 60 seconds (to allow any active ingredients to take effect). Avoid cleaners and toners containing harsh alcohol-based astringents and ingredients such as witch hazel, which typically
cause a sting on application and make the skin appear red. Small flaking patches might indicate you’re over cleansing, so ease back and then gradually increase the frequency of use as your skin adjusts and gets used to the product.

Tip #2 - Make salicylic acid your star ingredient

Salicylic acid is one of the most effective breakout-fighting non-prescription ingredients and is a great choice of exfoliant for those with spot-prone and oily skin. Salicylic acid targets pimples by sloughing away dead skin cells that clog pores and lead to breakouts, and also minimizes pore visibility.

Tip #3 - Moisturize!

A common misconception is that moisturizing is bad for oily skin prone to breakouts. It’s true that many creams and lotions contain ingredients that can block pores and make breakouts worse, so
never put a product designed for your body near your face.

Look for products labelled 'non-comedogenic', which is a fancy way of saying they don’t contain ingredients that block pores and lead to the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. Hydrating
the skin with an oil-free moisturizer will not only counteract the drying effect of many spot treatments, but also loosen the pore-blocking sebum (skin debris and grease) leading to clearer and healthier skin overall.

Tip #4 - Give it time and be optimistic

Sometimes your skin can take a while to adjust to new products or active ingredients.

Direct your attention away from the guide on the bottle and focus only on your skin. If you experience signs of irritation or over-drying, try reducing the application to every other day (or even less often) for a couple of weeks before gradually increasing back to daily.

Remember that it can take 4-6 weeks for breakouts to diminish, so you need to persevere with a new product for at least this long (and ideally a bit longer) before really deciding whether it is doing
the trick and clearing your skin.

Tip #5 - Keep your hands off!

As tempting and satisfying as it is, squeezing a pimple really is the worst thing you can do so keep your hands off! Pressure on an inflamed pimple will push the contents of the grease gland (oil, bacteria and dead skin cells) into the surrounding healthy skin which causes damage and more inflammation.

Squeezing can lead to a temporary darkening of the skin (so called ‘post-inflammatory pigmentation’) that can take weeks, even months to settle, and scarring, which can be permanent and difficult to treat – not cool. If you really find it difficult to resist squeezing, instead try applying
a warm compress (like a clean face cloth) to the pimple for 5 minutes to reduce any swelling and then apply a for example a` salicylic acid-based product.

Tip #6 - Review your make up choices and clean your brushes

It’s a fact that as breakouts worsen, the more make-up we use to try to conceal the problem. For pimple-prone skin, making the right cosmetic choices and regularly cleaning applicators are essential if future breakouts are to be prevented.

Mineral-based make up products are a good option as they contain ingredients such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and silica that mop up excess oil without blocking pores. Also, switch to a concealer that contains a blemish-fighting ingredient such as salicylic acid to not only reduce the visibility of blemishes but also help reduce the size. And just as would be the case if you didn’t
wash your face each day, make-up brushes accumulate a daily layer of pore-clogging product, dirt and bacteria – your skin’s worst enemy.

Aim to cleanse your brushes at least once a week using baby shampoo or a professional brush cleaner to keep them in tip top condition.

Tip #7 - Review your diet

For many years, the jury was out as to whether there was a link between diet and breakouts – the hard evidence was simply lacking. But over the past decade, many dermatologists now agree that hormones in cow’s milk may stimulate oil production and promote breakouts.

Similarly, foods with a high glycemic index can cause a spike in blood sugars, causing a rise in hormone levels and sending grease glands into an oily overdrive.

Try reducing cow’s milk intake to just 1-2 servings per day (or choose an unsweetened alternative like almond milk), and cut out fatty foods high in omega-6 fatty acids and refined sugars (generally
found in all the foods you know are bad for you!) – even if your skin doesn’t dramatically improve, your waistline will!

Tip #8 – Use a good skincare routine like Proactiv+

Proactiv+ 3 Step Clear Skin System has Smart Target technology that delivers acne-fighting formulation directly into the pores. It is formulated to address blemishes help deliver PLUS benefits such as improved visible texture and clarity, brighten and smoothen skin, and diminish the look of dark marks. Stakeholders Gears to Revive the Maritime Industry

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Various stakeholders of the maritime industry converged in the Manila Yacht Club yesterday to discuss about the problems of the dying seafaring industry. Among those concerns is our dwindling deployment of the Filipino seafarers, EMSA assessment, the country’s inclusion in the IMO whitelist and the Ambulance chasers.

During the meeting Mr. Miguel Angel Rocha, CEO of Cf Sharp Crew Management Inc., voices out their issue with ambulance chasers. According to him, some of their principals would like to come back here and rehire our seafarers however their only concern is that they cannot get fair justice from the trials against their seafarers who are filing cases against them with the encroachment of ambulance chasers.

This statement was agreed upon by the Joint Manning Group (JMG) who cited that that is exactly their principals’ dillema as well.

Meanwhile, PAMTCI President Karen Avila also speaks out in behalf of the training centers, their predicament that a lot of substandard training centers are not compliant with the requirements and are offering low-priced training fees cheaper than the actual cost of training. PAMTCI condemns the strictness against large training training centers that only complies with the requirements which is within the standards of the IMO STCW Convention.

She also took as an example the Basic Training (BT) which originally costs 5,500PHP but some training centers are offering it for only 2, 500PHP. She questions how are those training centers were able to do that. It can only be done when certificates are given even if the trainees are not attending the courses.

Also seconding about the compliance issue were the sector of maritime schools, wherein they pointed out the severity of regulation among major schools and yet no action were taken against the small substandard schools. None of those substandard schools were taken down and MARINA is not doing anything about it.

Each stakeholder in the meeting were suffering with the growing mess in the maritime industry, and they are now determined to do something against this troubles.

On the other hand, United Filipino Seafarers (UFS President) Engr. Nelson Ramirez, who also attended the meeting, was also pleased that finally he is no longer alone in fighting for the betterment of the country’s maritime and seafaring industry.

Ramirez pledges full support for the success of this great endeavor.

Running a More Efficient Business

Wazzup Pilipinas!

When a business is run efficiently, you’re likely to see results in the area of performance. It is, therefore, in the interest of entrepreneurs to continuously look for ways to improve the way their organization is run.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to running an efficient business, so you can try a combination of learning from other businesses and adopting your own practices. Keep reading to discover how you can run a more efficient business and hopefully, save yourself time as well as money in the process.

Identify What Doesn’t Work

Before you go fixing things in your business, first identify what isn’t working. As the saying goes, there is no need to fix what isn’t broken, so avoid doing that. Examples of inefficiency to look out for are redundant processes, hard to find information, or overly complicated processes. Remember that the goal of efficiency is to make the most of your time and resources.

Other ways to identify inefficiencies are to take baseline measurements across your organization and use them like a roadmap to your inefficiencies.

Being efficient isn’t just about what you do within your office. It can also extend to how your practices affect the world around you. Invest in recycling and make it a part of your office culture.

Not only are customers keener on green businesses nowadays, but it could also give you a sense of fullfilment. Having said that, you can recycle things such as office supplies as well as paper cups. Additionally, if you tend to have robust amounts of plastic or cardboard waste, get baling wire from to bundle up the waste and have it recycled.

Get Employee Feedback

Don’t underestimate the role that employees can play in helping you run a more efficient business. Seeing as they’re doing all of the gritty work to keep your business above water, they are in a good position to understand what is working and what’s not.

Ask them to give honest feedback regarding where they face the most challenges. Also, ask for suggestions regarding how they think the process could be improved. Invest in your Employees. Help them upskill through business analyst certification courses available online.

In terms of how to get employee feedback, you can use the simple format of surveys. Some employees may feel more comfortable if they have the option of leaving anonymous feedback. It also helps when you listen and apply relevant feedback as that will encourage openness when future feedback is requested.

When your employees have more work than they can handle, it could have a negative effect on their output. To improve efficiency, outsource non-core activities and give them to freelancers or contractors. This gives employees the time and energy to focus on tasks that are going to help grow your business.

Examples of such activities are human resource management, admin, payroll, and accounting functions. In doing so, you could also end up saving money as you avoid hiring full-time staff that you don’t necessarily need.

Running an efficient business will help you move quicker and also manage what you have. It isn’t something that will be achieved overnight, but with patience and the right approach, you should be well on your way.

Current trends in traveling have drastically changed over the years. More and more people are looking for ways to start an adventure without having to shell out a lot of money to visit beaches, tourist spots, and other cultural landmarks, be it in the outskirts of the Philippines or in international territories.

One way to ride the wave of the travel boom is to look for affordable airfare and budget-friendly hotels.

Thankfully, Reddoorz, the hotel management and booking platform, has opened up opportunities for both local travelers and foreign tourists to find and live in comfortable, well-appointed hotels that cost only a fraction of the cost of five-star hotels.

The Reddoorz travel app – downloadable on the Google Play Store and App Store – has helped drive the travel fever, putting booking and access to affordable accommodations all over the Philippines at one’s fingertips. The Reddoorz app has consistently placed among the top 5 travel apps of choice, but climbed to Number 1 as of July 24, 2019.

With the help of the app and avid consumer usage, RedDoorz has enlivened the travel scene, accommodating tourists and travelers in over 150 affordable accommodations in over 10 cities in the Philippines. The Reddoorz App makes all that happen right when it’s wanted in the easiest possible way. Just choose the destination, find the Reddoorz hotel there and start packing.

Now crossing out target destinations from one’s bucket list is easy as pie.

Astronomical Telescopes: Guidelines in Buying

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I agree that it is costly to buy pro-level astronomical scopes like Takahashi, APO, etc. But for the beginners, don't despair, there's a lot of entry level scopes (3"-4"). Just don't buy the "toy" scopes.

Some guidelines:

- Decide on what you want to see. There is rarely a scope that does it all. Decide whether you're interested in deep space objects (DSO - like nebulas, galaxies, clusters) or lunar and planetary.

- If you choose DSO, you need the best aperture you can afford/ carry and medium to low power only (20x-100x). If planetary, small apertures will do but you need high powers (100x-200x rarely this high) plus a very stable mount.

- Don't believe the "power" hype, like the 600x etc. Actually its not the power or magnification that's important, its the "Aperture" because for astro DSO use, the objects are faint and NOT small so you need to gather more light. Astro Telescope- definition: an instrument that gathers light.

- Power is limited by the "seeing" conditions at the time plus the amount of "light pollution". It is limited to 50x per inch of aperture. Therefore, for a 3" scope it is limited to 150x.

- Aperture determines light gathering power. The bigger the better, the only restriction is how much you're willing to spend and how heavy an instrument you're willing to lug around.

- Another factor is focal length... for DSO, a rich-field or short FL (400-600mm) will do but for planetary you need long FL (600-1000+mm). This is because FL determines power (power = FLobjective/EPfl)

I only have a 60mm(40mm clear aperture f/10) home made telescope (copy lens objective (400mm) plus binoculars eyepiece (20mm) and 20x mag ) but I have seen a lot of things from my backyard. My main interest is DSO. I have observed the great Orion Nebula, Pleides, Beehive Cluster, Lagoon Nebula, Hercules Cluster, and a lot of Messier's objects even with the moderate light pollution.

There is also the option of making your own telescope. You can buy an objective lens (surplus copier lens or buy a telescope objective online )and together with a binocular eyepiece and a PVC tube make a refractor. A reflector or Newtonian is also possible but I am not aware of local availability of parabolic mirrors. Making your own mirror is also possible btw.

Oh NEVER look at the sun with a telescope or binoculars without a sun filter. INSTANT BLINDNESS.

ORAMA: Obtaining Realistic Ambitions through Manifestation of one's Abilities

Wazzup Pilipinas!

As Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” We believe that children should have the right to gain information that can shape their future for a better living.

This would be the start of their experience in choosing what profession would be right for them and help them embrace their ideals and the things that await them. 💚

Together with HOPE Organization, CMLI JC-REB CALABARZON presents ORAMA: Obtaining Realistic Ambitions through Manifestation of one's Abilities with the theme “Marka ng Kinabukasan”. A children’s day full of activities to uncover the capabilities of the children for self-development and expose career planning.

This would be held on July 27, 2019 at the Hope Organization located at Coastal Road, Barangay Dela Paz, Biñan, Laguna by 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

DOE Task.Force Sets Road Map for Improvement of Palawan Electric Service

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi created a special task force to urgently address the recurring brownouts in Puerto Princesa and other parts of Palawan. The Inter-Agency Coordinating Committee and Task Force PALECO (IACC-TF PALECO) is set to meet with the representatives of Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO), National Power Corporation (NPC), and provincial government agencies tomorrow (25 July) to discuss the progress of the implementation of their respective action plans.

PALECO has been facing extreme backlash from both its consumers and the local government since 2017 due to unreliable electricity services in the province.

In February this year, Secretary Cusi tasked TF PALECO to look into the power interruptions perennially taking place in Palawan by means of a Performance Audit and Assessment. To this end, the task force conducted two site validations, with the first having taken place on 25 February followed by another on 11 March 2019.

TF PALECO's findings included, among others, the uncoordinated synchronization of the protection system of PALECO and NPC’s distributions lines, overloaded substations, vegetation obstruction along distribution lines, and the slow coordination among various government agencies on distribution line maintenance and improvements.

Based on these findings, the DOE, in its report directed PALECO, NPC, and the National Electrification Administration to submit implementation programs. PALECO was expected to accelerate tree clearing activities along its distribution lines, while the NPC was requested to fast track the improvement of its transmission lines and upgrade its power substations.

In tomorrow's meeting, the IACC-TF PALECO will also present its final report to the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), a multi-sectoral and interdisciplinary body governing and implementing policies in the province, headed by Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez. The PCSD, whose members include local government units (LGU) and agencies, consumer and business groups, as well as indigenous cultural communities/indigenous peoples, has pledged its support to help foster efficient coordination among the various relevant stakeholders and local government agencies to effectively address all the issues surrounding the matter.

PCSD members, particularly the LGUs and their constituents will likewise have an opportunity to air out their grievances at the meeting.

"The DOE is committed to taking the lead in ensuring that PALECO's issues will soon be addressed. With the cooperation of all stakeholders, particularly the PALECO Board of Directors, its management member-consumers, as well as the local government agencies, we should be able to provide high quality electricity services that Palaweños deserve.” Secretary Cusi concluded.

Fil-Am Golf Invitational Tournament, 70th Edition Will Be Held In Baguio in December 2019

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The schedule has been released for the 70th Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament, the premier amateur golf event in the Philippines and one of the longest-running international amateur golf tournaments in the world. The tournament will take place in Baguio, a Philippine destination for all kinds of seasons.

Since its inception as a tournament to celebrate friendly Filipino/American relations in 1949, the Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament has drawn participants from all over the world.

It’s a unique, flighted tournament that uses a “Modified Stableford” scoring system to reward risk-taking and birdie-making. Teams of five golfers compete in one of eight possible flights depending on their age (as there are senior and super-senior flights) or handicap. There are separate prizes for team and individual champions, encouraging a great deal of camaraderies
while also emphasizing individual excellence.

The Modified Stableford scoring system awards one point for a bogey, two for a par, three for a birdie, and so on. While a bogey still records a point, the teams who record the most three-point birdies will be the ones hoisting trophies at the awards ceremony. So players are encouraged to aim at the flagstick and try to reach the tough par 5s in two.

Practice rounds for the senior, super senior, and F/G flights begin on Monday, December 1, with the tournament proper running Wednesday the 4th until Monday the 9th. On the 10th, the remaining flights begin their practice rounds, with the tournament ultimately finishing up with an awards night on Wednesday the 18th. Many players especially seniors are practicing with their golf balls to emphasize their strengths and to be ready for this tournament.

The tournament is played on two great golf courses located in the mountaintop resort, the Baguio Country Club and John Hay Golf Club. Built in 1905, Baguio Country Club is the premier private golf destination in the area. The tournament attracts a stunning number of participants, with organizers expecting over 1,300 golfers over the 18 days of tournament play.

Baguio Country Club isn’t just a championship golf course, it also boasts a luxury resort hotel with a bevy of activities offered, such as archery, bowling, swimming, skating, and a place to do some golf workouts. There’s plenty for non-golfers to do if the tournament participants choose to bring their families along. And the views and dining offered at the Baguio Country Club are both world-class.

While it’s officially an invitational tournament, interested players can apply to play by sending a letter of intent to the organizers with information about their 5-6 person teams. Individuals wishing to play can also contact the organizers and ask to be placed on the list to join teams that aren’t able to field enough players.

Fuel Prices Drive Up Fleet Operating Costs

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Fuel prices, mainly diesel and gasoline, have been on the rise over the past several
months of 2019. They have been a major factor that contributes to high fleet
operating costs. This is because fuel costs comprise the biggest portion of fleet
operating expenses.

Factors causing the rise in fuel prices

So, what factors have been making the fuel costs rise? Well, the increase in fuel
prices has been a result of several factors including high customer demand,
sanctions, market uncertainty, and year-over-year reduction in oil inventories.

Another factor that has caused fuel prices to increase in some regions are natural
disasters like hurricanes. For example, fuel consumption went up due to Hurricane
Florence during September 2018, which resulted in catastrophic damage in the
Carolinas. The fleets that were going to help in the recovery mission consumed more
fuel than the expected amounts during the month.

Increases in fuel card fraud, which started to become prominent in 2016, is another
factor that has put upward pressure on fuel prices. Fuel card skimming has become
rampant, especially at fuel stations, and the best way to cope with it is to do
everything possible to prevent it from happening in the first place. Fleet
managements need to stay alert and educate their drivers so that they know of the possible risks and vulnerabilities.

Keeping constant vigilance for anomalies relating to cards is another way to deal with the menace since there is no fail-proof strategy yet to entirely avert fraud, which makes fleets lose millions every year.

Fuel prices influence vehicle selection
As earlier stated, fuel spending accounts for one of the biggest expenses for running
a fleet. As such, a vehicle‘s Miles Per Gallon (mpg) is one of the most critical
considerations in the vehicle selection process. Statistics show that fuel prices have an impact on vehicle acquisition decisions. The market for both new and used vehicles tend to register a reaction and fluctuation in fuel prices. With lower fuel
prices, buyers may consider larger, less fuel-efficient vehicles.

However, the converse is not happening in recent times, and this could be attributed to the fact that the rise in prices has been gradual.

Adoption of alternative fuel options and reducing miles driven

With fuel prices still on an upward trend, it is expected that more fleet managements
will think about alternative fuel options and put more emphasis on cutting down the total miles driven. The success of these strategies will depend on vehicle utilization
analysis, which relies on telematics data and vehicle inventory management.

Speaking of telematics and fleet inventory management, fleet operators can count on
Eyeride experts to help install various devices onto their cars as well as systems like 360-degree cameras, GPS tracking systems, and most importantly, e-logs that can help to monitor drivers’ compliance with various rules and laws.

Fleet managers are looking at possible strategies to reduce fuel consumption as the
prices are expected to continue increasing. Strategies that managers are adopting
include acquiring hybrid and battery-electric vehicles. In addition, as corporate
leaders think about environmental sustainability initiatives, they are encouraging focusing more on acquiring smaller displacement and fuel-efficient engines because fuel efficiency means fewer emissions.

4 Reasons Why the Philippines Is the Most Underrated Travel Destination in Southeast Asia

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Asia is a big hit with tourists. Every kind of traveler can find something they’d love in this huge continent. Southeast Asia, in particular, has a plethora of beautiful beaches, delicious food, and rich ecosystems filled with unique flora and fauna. It’s certainly an appealing travel destination, with hidden gems just waiting to be explored.

Most first-time travelers in Southeast Asia would choose countries like Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, or Vietnam, but it’s also worth considering the Philippines. This archipelago, composed of more than 7,600 islands, is located in the West Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by water, the country has the world’s fifth longest coastline of 36,289 kilometers (22,549 miles). As such, the Philippines has plenty of gorgeous beaches and island destination, including Boracay, Cebu, and Palawan.

However, the Philippines is more than just about beaches and island hopping. In fact, when you look beyond the sparkling waters, you’ll realize that the country is one of Southeast Asia’s more underrated destinations. If you need some more convincing, here are a few reasons to visit the Philippines.

Cheap but Accessible Hotels

If you’re the kind of traveler who doesn’t need five-star accommodations but needs to be in the center of the action, you’re in luck. There are a lot of clean, comfortable, and affordable hotels in and around Metro Manila, and even in the farther provinces. In fact, if you’re planning to stay in Metro Manila and explore the city, you can find plenty of hotels near NAIA Terminal 2, which is where many international flights land. Filipinos are also arguably the most hospitable people in the world, so no matter how small the hotel, you can expect a warm welcome and good service.

Historical and Natural Wonders

The Philippines has a rich history, being a country of mix of native Philippine, Asian, Spanish, and American heritages. In almost every province, you’ll find historical sites and landmarks that have borne witness to the various events that shaped the Philippines’ current cultural landscape. The Philippines is also home to hundreds of indigenous peoples who have been living in the islands even before the Spanish set foot in 1521. Many of them occupy their original ancestral lands, which, in themselves, have become tourist destinations. Just remember to be respectful of the various traditions and local laws when you visit these places.

The Philippines is also a gem if you’re a nature lover. While its location in the Pacific Ring of Fire makes it prone to typhoons and earthquakes, it’s also the reason why the country has a rich biodiversity and varied and abundant natural resources. Lush forests, marine sanctuaries, mountains and rivers, rock formations and cave networks, you can find almost everything in the Philippines. If you want a slice of paradise, visit Batanes in the northernmost part of the country. Filled with sprawling fields of green, stunning beaches, and awe-inspiring views from the hilltops, Batanes is also home to traditional villages and age-old cultures. It’s quite tricky to get to, but once you’re there, you’ll realize that the effort is truly worth it.

Food, Food, Food
Filipino cuisine is as diverse as the nation’s hundreds of ethnic groups, further flavored by the influences of both Western and Asian spheres. Dish complexity range from very simple (fried salted fish) to the intricate (kare-kare and variations of adobo). Regional specialties are common, as are unique delicacies that might make some weaker stomachs turn (balut, anyone?). Many Filipino foods are also cooked with soups like sinigang and bulalo, or with sauces like menudo or pochero.

Going to the Philippines means experiencing this wide variety of dishes. Go beyond adobo, the unofficial national dish. Take a bite of dinuguan, dinakdakan, pinakbet, laing, various pancits (noodles), chicharron, chicken inasal, lechon, estofado, sambal, and many, many, many more. You also have a wide selection of kakanins (desserts and pastries made from sticky rice) and unique desserts like halo-halo, leche flan, buko salad, and “dirty” ice cream or sorbetes. What’s great is that whenever you visit the Philippines, you’re sure to find yet another version of these dishes and desserts for a whole new experience.

English is Common

If you’re an English-speaker, you don’t have to worry about language barriers. A huge majority of Filipinos speak and understand the language. This might not be a deal-breaker for most, but it can certainly make your life easier. From asking for directions to ordering in restaurants, knowing that you’ll be understood can help take a load off your shoulders and help you enjoy your vacation even more.

Of course, reading all about the destination is a lot different than actually going there. So the next time you get some time off, book a flight to Southeast Asia and visit the Philippines. Once you’ve been there, you’ll probably ask yourself why you haven’t gone before or visited more often.

WebRTC Technology: Advantages in Business Communication

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The revolution of telecommunications has been offering innovative solutions in the management of tof phone calls and new business models.

The management of phone calls, a fundamental aspect for business communication, has seen a great improvement thanks to innovative technologies in the telecommunications field.

The virtual PBX telephone networking system for businesses adapts quickly to the evolution of the Internet. Traditional telephone networking systems are unable to adapt to technological changes compared to newer models.

WebRTC Virtual PBX Phone System

For a few years now, businesses have opted for virtual PBX phone systems. Although all virtual solution systems seem the same, the difference lies in the technology used. It also depends on the Call Center Software used, the simplicity of installation, and the user interface.

Voice over IP is the most used technology used by different virtual PBX phone network providers. Although VoIP is already known to be better than the traditional SIP, it has also improved in recent years by adding WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) technology.

Fonvirtual, a company specialized in cloud communications for businesses, bases its solutions on WebRTC technology. This simplifies corporate telephone management, internal and external calls, and optimizes company resources since no external hardware would need to be purchased. Calls can be made through a call center software through any online web browser.

Therefore, the WebRTC is a great advantage when using a virtual PBX for any company.

The Advantages of WebRTC for Business Communication

Fonvirtual is one of the few companies that offers this technology whose main advantages are reducing installation costs, enjoying the best sound quality that exists in the market, and allowing travel without geographical call restrictions or losing calls.

That's right! WebRTC is characterized by its adaptability and its network quality, which eliminates the usual cuts and echoes of calls. It is perfect to call from anywhere in the world and to any destination. The voice that is transmitted over the internet has no additional cost for long distance calls.

In addition, it offers great advantages for business who use it, such as making and receiving calls from a computer or smartphone, no matter where you are. In addition, you can alternate from one device to another, depending on your needs.

Developed by Google, this technology works with any web browser, as long as you are connected through data or Wi-Fi. It does not require any other additional hardware or software downloads, which reduces costs in new equipment. There is no need for physical  IP telephones or installation. Also, because it is hosted in the cloud, the configuration and maintenance will be done all online without additional costs.

Features of the WebRTC Virtual PBX

Companies invest more and more in solutions that reinforce their company image. Their image is determined by the customer service that is provided. This can be determined by the quality of the customer service calls. A WebRTC virtual PBX can increase the quality of customer communications.

But in addition to all of this, what additional features does this virtual switchboard have? The virtual PBX provided by Fonvirtual allows you to enjoy added features such as option menus, custom main greetings, queue management for when customers are on hold, call recording, etc.

In the same way, you can establish the order of prefered agents who receive calls, depending on their qualification or experience. In addition, internal calls and the transfer of calls between agents are also completely free.

You can adapt the virtual PBX to according to your office hours, as well as different greetings depending on whether the call was made during after hours.

A virtual PBX combined with WebRTC technology improves the performance of business communication, offering a high quality customer service.
