Trending Thoughts in my Head You Won't Hear Me Talk About

Wazzup Pilipinas!

An idle mind is the Devil's workshop. Too much time in your hands may lead to either productive or sinful acts. From thoughts to words and actions is an easy step especially when tempting resources are lying all around. Thus the mind may initiate a dangerous undertaking that you'll only worry about your safety after you have either accomplished it already with flying colors or messed it up so badly.

Though its been around for ages, the saying still usually pertains to the possibilities of sinning when you have all the time in the world. It has a negative connotation, and is usually a reminder to those who might get tempted to go against what's morally upright.

I was able to come up with twenty five so far. No doubt its a long read but do tell me if any of the thoughts in my list are similar or somewhat near to what you're thinking.

Baby & Family Expo Philippines 2013 Held at SMX MOA

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The recently concluded Baby & Family Expo Philipines 2013 warmly welcomed expecting couples, parents, children and families last December 06-08, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Hall 1 Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Andi Eigenmann is on the Cover of Rogue Magazine December 2013 Issue

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Would you agree with me when I say this has got to be the "weakest" cover of Rogue Magazine for 2013?

Don't get me wrong. I love Andi Eigenmann, but the fact that this happens to be the year end issue, one could have hoped that it will end with a blast - a cover that will try to be toppled off by next year's cover.

But it seems like I may be asking for too much, or I'm just not aware of the "international" standards of sleek and sexy super model posing. I'm probably just way less smart and over nit-picky.

The cover shows a beautiful face but sort of a deformed weak and frail body. "Bakit parang kuba?" one may ask.

Spanking Bad Apples in the Blogging Basket

Wazzup Pilipinas!

'Tis the season for Miley Cyrus to twerk Santa Claus and for everyone else to feel free to change their profile photos with the "unselfie", otherwise a certain Annebisyosa we can hide by the name of Anne Curtis might slap you and buy you, your friends, and Facebook too.

We normally rave or rant about movies like the Friday the 13th franchise, celebrities like Khloe Kardashian or Evangeline Lilly, politicos like Kim Jong Un or Barack Obama, and even as low as cursing irresponsible concert goers with a resounding "Puñeta!", but this time, as a convenience for Santa (we're applying as his helpful little elves), let's criticize bloggers who have been naughty and definitely not nice.

Their patay-gutom, token-loving, freeloading, sponsorship stealing, low readership, bad photograph, and pathetic grammar "blogs" days are numbered (but I think we are terribly outnumbered). Count on it. We're sick of a few rotten apples spoiling the collective reputation of a community of decent, committed, passionate bloggers whose sole intention is to simply share our honest experience with our readers.

The word's gone out. The evidence, recorded. Good riddance to their online stink bombs~ "Don't let the door hit you on your way out!"

Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines Serves Over 116,000 Yolanda Survivors

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, the humanitarian arm of CBN Asia, has now served over 116,000 survivors of super typhoon Yolanda in its continued relief and rehabilitation efforts, medical missions, trauma counseling and listening ministry.

Partnering with different local and international organizations, Operation Blessing has successfully reached survivors in the remotest areas severely battered by Yolanda.

“In Samar, we have partnered with the La Salle group of medical practitioners composed of 12 doctors and eight nurses and together we did a medical mission in several remote villages. We have also complemented the efforts of the Israeli team which is doing its medical mission in Tacloban. We have also partnered with the DSWD in providing counseling sessions to the survivors as they struggle with their difficult situations. Our partner churches in Manila help us out in sorting used clothes for efficient distribution to the typhoon survivors,” said Dr. Kim Pascual, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Operation Blessing.

My Little Bossings: The Ryzza Mae and Bimby Magical Appeal

Wazzup Pilipinas!Bloggers were invited last night at the My Little Bossings Bloggers' Night press conference held at Annabel's Restaurant located in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. This is my first time to attend the presscon done for the second time to highlight the offering of Vic Sotto's entry to the annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). They said there was also a presscon intended for the members of the tri-media (print, TV and radio) held a few days earlier.

It seems the blogging community has grown big, and several companies has recognized the significance and influence of bloggers that they organized a separate one for us. Though the line between the tri-media and the new media has grown so very thin, and many are contemplating that everything will eventually go online and with a few still on-air, the only media threatened is print.

Bloggers now gather to help disseminate and promote the Ryzza Mae Dizon and James Bimby Aquino-Yap movie. Yeah!, whether you agree or not, we can say they are the real stars of the movie, and with the adult stars as their supporting actors.

Wagas ang Bigayan sa CHRISTmas: The 700 Club Asia Levels Up the Spirit of Giving

Fresh from its AnakTV seal award, The 700 Club Asia rallies Filipinos to level up their spirit of giving in “Wagas ang Bigayan sa CHRISTmas,” a series special live episodes on December 16-20, at 11:00 p.m. over GMA News TV.

The TV special hopes to raise more funds to be able to help more people through the CBN Asia Family of Ministries (CBN Asia Media that produces The 700 Club Asia and the top-rating Superbook, Operation Blessing, Asian Center for Mission and The Prayer Center).

“Many of our kababayans are still clamoring for our help and support. In this season of giving, we pray that God touches the heart of people so that they will be cheerful givers to their fellowmen who are needing help and hope.

Deities of Philippine Mythology

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The deities of Philippine mythology are the gods, goddesses and diwatas worshiped by ancient Filipinos before the Christianization of the natives after the Spanish conquest of the Philippines. W

hile not as widely known as its European and Asian counterparts, they have similar elements and characteristics when compared to other mythologies.

Ancient Philippine mythology varies among the many indigenous tribes of the Philippines. During the pre-Spanish era, some tribes believed in a single supreme being who created the world and everything in it, along with lesser deities.

Others chose to worship a multitude of trees as an act of animism. Below are some of the gods and goddesses of the various ancient Philippine tribes:

LRT-MRT Fare Hike to Bring Better Train Services and Allow More Projects Outside Metro Manila

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), and Metro Rail Transit III (MRT-3) today presented a proposal to increase fares for the LRT and MRT lines, at the one-time public consultation conducted at the LRT-2 Depot in Santolan, Pasig City.

As a background to the proposal, the transport agencies explained that the LRTA and the MRT-3 are both operating at a loss, requiring the national government to subsidize much of their expenses. These include daily operating expenses such as overhead, power supply, and salaries. They also include costs for repairs and replacement of train and rail parts, and for the payment of existing debts.

Based on their 2012 financial records, the LRTA had a deficit of P 4.704 Billion, while MRT-3’s deficit was at P 7.250 Billion.

The average cost per passenger for LRT 1 and 2 was at P 34.74. 59% of this, or P 20.46, was shouldered by the government, and only 41%, or P 14.28, was actually paid by the commuter. In the case of MRT 3, the average cost per passenger was P 53.96. 77% or P41.46 was subsidized by government, while only 23% or P12.40 was paid by the passenger.

Mactan-Cebu International Airport Project Next - DOTC

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Following the Department of Transportation and Communications’ (DOTC) successful auction of the common ticketing system for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) lines yesterday, the transport agency has scheduled the opening of financial proposals for the first airport Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project on Thursday, 12 December 2013.

Like the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS) bid, the tendering process for the P 17.5 Billion Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Project has been fast-tracked by the transport agency to speed up the government’s infrastructure program.

“We are expediting work on our PPPs. Especially now that we are re-bidding the LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension (LRT-1 Cavex) project and preparing to bid out the Integrated Transport System (ITS) project later this month,” said DOTC Spokesperson Michael Arthur Sagcal.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Special Blocked Screening

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Getting five movie tickets to the Special Blocked Screening of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" was not the only thing spectacular. It was also having your blog logo printed prominently on the movie ticket itself. Being an online media partner of the event truly has its perks and privileges, and Wazzup Pilipinas, along with its team of bloggers, are enjoying every single one of them.

Though the three hour lengthy movie was reward enough especially for us fans of the The Lord of the Rings (LOTR) movie franchise, the mention of our blog name among the moviegoers was also an awesome recognition that make us truly proud to be partly responsible in promoting the event.

Our readers who learned about the special blocked screening through our blogs are obviously glad they were among the first to watch such a grand blockbuster.

Mikey Bustos in Balikbayan Box (Pinoy Wrecking Ball Parody)

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"Whether it be coming from Canada, USA, Dubai, Europe, Australia, other Asian countries, or elsewhere, we Filipinos love to receive a Balikbayan Box from our loved ones abroad!"
If this doesn't put you into tears because of laughing out loud uncontrollably, then you must be a zombie.

Mikey Bustos is at it again with another humorous video based from Miley Cyrus's controversial Wrecking Ball MTV.

Incidentally MTV recognized the formerly wholesome teenage pop star gone whoresome with the Artist of the Year award. Now, that's an accomplishment that was probably due to her no holds barred video that shocked the whole world.

Mikey Bustos is not going to let himself be left behind with another sure hit video that shows what he does best: poking fun on Filipino idiosyncrasies.

The Lakeshore: My Dream Island Wedding Plans

Wazzup Pilipinas!

From our first meeting one special night at Makati's newest hotel-like serviced residence they call One Pacific Place Serviced Residences, I knew the wedding would be very special.

I met with Miss Rhoda and Miss Mimi a few weeks ago and was told that they organized a surprise wedding proposal for their children.  I was so excited to be part of this momentous event between two lovers so I didn't hesitate to jump in headfirst and let my camera take shots while I witness what seems like a fairy tale story done in real life.

The proposal was something out of a romantic movie or maybe from out of our favorite tele-serye. What was so real that night was the excitement that surrounded the venue. Everyone wanted the best for the couple.

The organizers also told me that they were gearing up to have the wedding sometime in April – less than six months away. They had their grand vision and plans to make it truly special. Now, after a few weeks, I received a call inviting me to once again continue my coverage of a fabulous bonding taken into insurmountable heights.

It was off to The Lakeshore, that prime real-estate haven located in Mexico, Pampanga - to plan for a dream island wedding that is soon to unfold and make our hearts beat as one with the couple.

Filipinos Reign High Among Beauty Competitions

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Almost every girl dreamed to be a beauty queen someday. Girls were likely done everything just to achieve a pretty but simple look. ‘Beauty queen’ is not just having a pretty face it includes traits, talents and intelligence. If you possessed all of that, you’re worthy to be called a ‘beauty queen.’

Last August 18, 2013, the Miss World coronation night was held at Indonesia. There are 127 contestants who competed for the said title. And proudly to say, Miss Philippines, Megan Young got the crown last. This is the first time, our country Philippines got the title since 1951.

During the preliminaries, she gave her best to win some awards; she won the ‘Top Model’ award, placed fourth in the ‘Multimedia Contest’ and fifth in the ‘Beach Beauty’ contest. She also received the title, ‘Miss World Asia’ the highest rank among Asian countries.

As the new Miss World, she has to travel around the world to visit and have a charity work there.

MetisEtrade’s Happy Trading Hours Has a New Champion for November

Wazzup Pilipinas!

MetisEtrade held the Happy Trading Hours November Finals at their head office in Fort Bonifacio Global City. The new defending top trader was announced to be Gabriel Vergara (14.8% gains), dethroning Robert Escano who was the monthly champion in October.

Happy Trading Hours is a weekly financial event conceptualized to cater for trading enthusiasts. HTH happens every Friday, during the hours when the financial market moves the most. This infotainment (information with entertainment) is a combination of a seminar and a demo competition - to educate the basics of volatile fx trading.

United in Laughter: Breaking the Highly Miscontrued Stand-Up Comedy Barrier

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Cinema 5 of Greenbelt 3 was a venue to a stand-up comedy revolution.

Indeed, with an almost full house, United in Laughter was undoubtedly phenomenal. Though the cinema is just a 200 seating capacity, it is quite incredible that Comedy Manila, the organizers of the event, were able to attract quite a number of guests that were close to a standing room.

I thought I was not able to get a seat because I came in late, but I was glad there were a few seats left somewhere at the 4th row. The amazing thing was that most of the people inside the cinema were young lads not above 30. It seems the youth has finally gained an interest to this brand of comedy that seems to catch the attention more of our older generation.

With six comedians sharing the spotlight (literally), I have to admit it was supposed to be kinda easy. The variety will not bore the audience. Instead of listening to just one comic in an hour of humorous stories, the audience were treated with six witty personalities of different nationalities.

One Fighting Championship Signs Undefeated Welterweight King Ben Askren

Wazzup Pilipinas!

One Fighting Championship, Asia’s largest mixed martial arts organization with a 90% market share, has capped off the year with a series of high-profile signings, highlighted by the acquisition of undefeated Welterweight kingpin Ben Askren. He joins a list of top mixed martial artists like Dae Hwan Kim, Chris Lokteff, Harris Sarmiento and Aung La Nsang, to recently agree to exclusive contracts.

Ben Askren is a legend in collegiate wrestling with four All-American awards. He finished his wrestling career at the University of Missouri with a record of 153-8. 91 of those victories came by way of pins, which are third most in NCAA Division I history. He also wrestled in the US Olympics team in 2008 before transitioning to mixed martial arts. Since his debut in 2009, he has won twelve bouts in a row in dominating fashion, winning multiple championships and earning a spot as one of the best Welterweights in the world.

A veteran of the MMA scene in South Korea, Dae Hwan Kim will compete on Asia's largest stage for the first time. The 26 year-old is still undefeated in his mixed martial arts career with eight wins on his record. Kim has fluid boxing and an aggressive fighting style that has served him well. Kim is looking to make waves in ONE FC and with the Bantamweight division arguably the most loaded with talent; it will be interesting to see how Kim compares to fellow contenders Kevin Belingon, Soo Chul Kim and Maskatsu Ueda. He made a successful ONE FC debut, submitting Australian submission grappler Thanh Vu in an exciting contest that displayed Kim’s exciting fighting style.

100 Life Lessons for Success: Book Review While on Staycation

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Michael "Myke" Celis is an advertising executive cum blogger turned book author with the release of his book entitled 100 Life Lessons for Success. The content of the book were from his regular Facebook shout-outs and apparently some people found it amusing and worthy enough to be reproduced in book format.

My first impression is that it will be just another thought of the day or a shorter version of "Soup for the Soul" as the contents may just be some rewording of ordinary and common thoughts rephrased and restructured to look spanking brand new.

But who gives a damn about original or copy-pasted thoughts as long as it helps inspire people and we get to share our thoughts regardless if its dirty or wholesome.

It is an extreme honor to be able to publish a book, and quite a tedious task to get others to buy and read it especially if you are no famous celebrity who has an already established name (or a ghost writer that's really good).

Braven 440 HD Wireless Speakers : Hardware Review While Watching "The Tomorrow People"

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Tomorrow People works on the premise that there's a possibility for some humans to evolve into a generation with special powers. Those powers they call the three Ts - teleportation, telekinesis and telepathy. But as the TV series reveals, some may even have the power to do a fourth T - time travel.

With the advancement of technology where we can send voice and data over the Internet, and where social media has kept us connected with our loved ones, and now there's technology where music or sound can be sent via wireless, I guess powers like that can be reproduced using technology.

If ever we get to the point of manifesting superhuman abilities, it will surely be a blast!

Speaking of blasts, what makes it more interesting to watch great sci-fi TV series is the presence of multimedia speakers that allow us to experience realism in our video watching. The sounds coming from blasts like explosions and sudden car stops and crashes are better appreciated if they could be clearly heard and identified.

I got my hands on the Braven 440 HD Wireless speakers to use while watching The Tomorrow People and it was a great experience to be able to hear crisp and clear sounds from the show.

Washed Away and Looted, The Body Shop Still Shares

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Their branch in Tacloban was completely wiped out by super typhoon Yolanda and their stocks and cash register looted in the aftermath of the world’s strongest typhoon in recent history.

But that did not stop global beauty brand The Body Shop from doing its own share in helping out the survivors of this tragedy.

“The Body Shop Philippines and our sister company Marithe Francois Gerbaud lost nearly P10 million in the floods and the looting that followed. Still, our customers, our employees and the company as a whole believe that we could still help those who are in desperate need for aid. And that’s when we came up with the idea of putting donation boxes in our shops,” explained Joanie Gajes, marketing officer of The Body Shop Philippines.

The House of Cuppy Keyks and their Awesome Treats for the Holidays

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I received a special treat when I got home from a whole day of event hopping since December has kept me busy with lots of invites from different brands.

They were all cute and colorful making them perfect for the holidays!

I first learned about them during the Halloween season because of their creatively designed cupcakes especially the ones with green themed designs containing the usual Halloween images. So I was deeply glad when they sent me a tweet asking me to try their adorable cupcakes. I immediately replied and accepted their invitation.

However, due to some personal emergencies, we had to postpone the delivery of the cupcakes to another time. ...and so it's nearing Christmas already that is why they opted sending in Christmas-themed "Cuppy Keyks!

Men are from QC, Women are from Alabang Book Launch : The "Suplado" Master Strikes Again!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

So he claims he has it all figured out. Yeah, maybe it's true. With the stunning babes all wanting a piece of him (as what the photo posted above this article seems to represent ), Stanley Chi probably knows the secrets to how to catch the attention of the opposite sex.

No wonder the book signing of his latest book "Men are from QC, Women are from Alabang" were flocked by a number of great looking babes.

The guy hasn't lost his touch. Subtle yet alarming jokes that are not appropriate for the kids but tolerable for the adults. Well, we like to think its harmless for us, but in reality, we get really horny when he talks about how to please the women.

In real life, Stanley has caught a very desirable fish in the sea with his lovely partner that we can hide under the name of Steph. You see! Both of their names starts with the letter S - the same letter that starts my favorite three letter word.

Get Rich from the Financial Market: Afterthoughts and Realizations

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Are we playing the right game?

I guess that question should be asked every time we make decisions and not only for those that involve our life savings. However, we were told to only invest on money that we are willing to lose. This means we should only take the risk if it involves money that is not critical to our everyday life.

We often become very generous after pay day because we spend our money without considering how we can make the most out of it. Our bonuses or extra month pays quickly disappear right before our eyes and go immediately to the cash registers of shopping malls where we bought branded shirts and jeans, a new watch or jewelry, or the latest model of a smartphone brand.

"Win as much as you can" should have been the game we should be playing but we get lost and confused because we follow the norm and traditional way of going through life. Even though we've heard so much sayings like "think outside the box", we seem to never learn.

Thank you to the duo of Amar Chandnani and Shyan Lim of Money Expo for teaching us a lot of enriching information on how we should manage our money during the Wazzup Pilipinas Get Rich from the Financial Market.

Romualdez Versus Roxas : The Bickering Never Stops

Wazzup Pilipinas!
"Mar (Roxas) never denied saying “You are a Romualdez and the President is an Aquino”. In fact here is the transcript of that part of the meeting : “You have to understand, we are talking very straight here. You have to understand, you are a Romualdez and the President is an Aquino. He is being very careful in just taking over because he does not want anything to be misconstrued.”

This is how I understand it : Because of the family histories of the Aquinos and the Romualdezes, the national government must be CAREFUL and SENSITIVE in “taking over” (i.e. sending an overwhelming number of military and PNP personnel etc.). If the national government just did so, the LGU and others can misconstrue what is happening and say Pnoy and his government are power hungry and just want to retaliate and grab power, given what happened in the past. It is in this context that a letter was requested from the City of Tacloban. The NG wanted the LGU to put in writing/ to formalize that they were agreeable to the efforts and entry of the NG in their city. And precisely, it was to avoid this issue happening today. Notwithstanding, this letter or non-letter did not stop the NG from helping/ moving/ acting. Regarding the video – watch it and be discerning. Listen carefully, and check out who originally posted it." - Ana Ojeda
Misconstrued? Even in the most immense disaster, Pnoy was still worried of being misconstrued at the expense of helping the people of Tacloban? Sorry but let me have this opinion as I am entitled to but this just makes me more sick. I hope if another calamity like this happens to us, the president of our people and the national government will not think twice in sending an overwhelming kind of help just because they are afraid of being misconstrued. Sorry, just had to say something here. - Ian Hermosa

One New Change: Philippines Money Expo 2014

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Everyone uses money. We all want it.  If you don't know what money is, you are not a human.  Before we start, let’s define money. What is money? Money is a good that acts as a medium of exchange in transactions.

Money is all around us but money is not that easy to earn, most especially when you are young and you don’t have your own job. But this seminar or also known as an opportunity was opened a new door for young people, like me to open their minds to an investments, Trading Stocks, Forex, Commodities and ETFs.

Justin Bieber in Tacloban for Yolanda Survivors

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Justin Bieber sang to and played basketball with young survivors of the Philippines' deadliest typhoon Tuesday after he flew into the disaster zone to boost an international relief effort.

Bieber flew unannounced to the central city of Tacloban just over a month after it was devastated by Super Typhoon Haiyan and sang Christmas carols to children at a heavily damaged local school amid tight security, witnesses said.

"He sang 'Holy Night' for the children," said Kate Donovan, a spokeswoman for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), one of three aid agencies expected to benefit from Bieber's charity work.
An AFP reporter said Bieber also played basketball with some of the young boys, and posed for photos."- ABS-CBN News

The act is commendable! With that, I give Justin a thousand warmfull of love and thanksgiving. Philippines will never forget this day.

Art of the Loom: Weaving the Story That Is the Binakul

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Binakul is a textile pattern handwoven on a small scale in Ilocos. Also known as binakel, binakael, or binakol, binakul (meaning “twill” in Ilocano) is a variation of the abel. Binakul can be easily recognized by its uniform, interlocked geometric patterns that result in psychedelic optical art designs, which are said to represent the waves of the sea and, among indigenous peoples of the Cordilleras, protection against malevolent spirits.

On display at Art of the Loom are examples of antique and modern binakul. Designs range from whirlwinds and stars to fans, cat’s pawprints, and capiz windows. Binakul is traditionally used as blankets but, most recently, designers have explored its use in contemporary fashion and personal accessories.

Part of Art of the Loom is a showcase of modern-day applications of binakul, such as binakul and snakeskin clutches fashioned by couturier Pepito Albert, a modern lamp by designer Olivia d’Aboville, boleros by Victoria de Borja, flats by Ruby Diaz Roa, and creations by fashion designer Jojie Lloren especially made for the exhibit.

The Year in Review section on Yahoo news shows the most searched topics, celebrity searches, viral stories and unforgettable sports moments, based on what internet users in the Philippines looked for in 2013.

Topping this year’s search on Yahoo Philippines was Typhoon Yolanda, the super typhoon to have made landfall, and claimed thousands of lives. Millions of people used the Yahoo network to get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage on rescue and relief efforts. Meanwhile, the 2013 elections, pork barrel scam, the Sabah standoff and the Zamboanga crisis were also among the top searches in Yahoo Philippines.

Dyip by Artistang Artlets : Playing the Blame Game

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The conflict between the Philippine government and its people has been evident even before the country gained its independence. Rebellions, revolutions and protests are a big part of what the country came to be.

For their 1st minor production this school year, UST’s Artistang Artlets staged Christian Tordecillas’ play entitled “Dyip” (2006), directed by Jerome Paul Ladan and produced by Therese Renee Janine Zialcita.

It portrayed the ongoing feud between the Philippine government and its citizens. The play started with an old woman in a jeepney who was refused of help in handing in her fare. She then goes on ranting that the Filipinos today are lazy, regardless if they are educated or not. When the driver finally asks her for her fare, she refuses to move so she could hand it, making her one of the lazy Filipinos she ranted about. As the play progressed, two high school students – Dexter, a supporter of rallies and Clara, Dexter’s friend who, unlike him, is against rallies – came inside the jeepney as well.

Baby and Family Expo 2013 : A Gathering of Family Preferred Brands

Wazzup Pilipinas!

We pamper our babies and young children during these times when they are vulnerable. They are so dear to us during this stage that we try to give them the best that money can buy.

Our kids are most tolerable during the age of infancy, toddler and that peculiar stage when we all cherish the moment of being a parent because it is inevitable that when they grow older, they will be a little shy to express freely their emotions.

A hug and a kiss will be less promising infront of a crowd or their peers. So let us take advantage of their innocent years while their are still fond of our "unli" embraces and public display of affection.

The Baby and Family Expo 2013 shares with the public an opportunity to buy the most affordable quality products for our children and also learn from the many talks from the invited knowledgeable speakers who are parents themselves, plus some child celebrities to add some fun and surprises for all.

Earth Day Jam On Tour: A Postscript

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Climate change is a pressing reality. With typhoons, floods, earthquakes and other environmental disasters looming, our Mother Earth has obviously chosen to cry out loud. But does the general public know the different causes of these calamities? Do they even care? Or has the all too familiar "it won't happen in my lifetime" concept gotten into everyone's heads?

The Philippines' longest running environmental awareness concert, Earth Day Jam, has brought together some of the country's biggest pop music artists, celebrities, public personalities, Socio-Civic groups, concerned companies and of course the general public for over 13 years now.

Through his musical tribute for Mother Earth, they address the most pressing environmental issues affecting the globe, most especially the Philippines, and push for aggressive community based and individual centered participative action. More than just a concert event, they continuously bombard their audience (predominantly teenagers) with audio visual presentations highlighting the importance of environmental preservation.
