Binalot Opens Their 46th Branch in Harisson Plaza

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Binalot Harisson Plaza branch was recently opened making it the 46th branch of the Filipino-owned restaurant.

My friends and I were invited by one of the owners, Mr. Rommel Juan, to cover the event a few days after our tour of their MD Juan plant in Caloocan. At first we didn't know that Mr. Rommel Juan was also the owner of the Binalot chain of restaurants, and we were just fortunate to have been a part of the opening of their 46th branch in the Philippines.

This new branch is under franchise agreement between the new owners Capt. and Mrs. George and Nerissa Clarabal.

Representative and Pastor Reuben Abante was there to bless and grace the opening event.

Binalot, popularly known as the Ultimate Filipino Food Experience where customers are treated with the traditional way of eating food wrapped on banana leaves. It was back in the year 1996 when three entrepreneurs, namely Rommel Juan, Raffy Juan and Aileen Anastacio, decided to setup the "Pambansang Tsibugan" because they were tired of the usual fast food choices in the metropolis.

However, it was not all good for the three since they were only able to expand into one branch only on 2003. It was indeed a very slow growth. The first branch at Jupiter Street in Makati was not really doing well especially during the Asian crisis in 1997 when the demand for delivery went down. Luckily they had a saving grace with their Shangri-La Plaza branch, and from then on the opening of new stores followed one after another - Greenbelt, Starmall, Dela Costa, Dela Rosa carpark, SM San Lazaro, Market Market and so on.

Binalot has this vision of becoming the preferred truly Filipino quick-service restaurant in the Philippines which promotes Filipino Culture and sustains the environment. Apparently, with so many branches already, I am sure that many would agree already that they are already among the chosen restaurants whenever local or foreign customers would look for authentic Filipino dishes at very affordable prizes.

With creatively named Filipino dishes like Vivo Tocino, Bistek na Walastik, Love Me Tenderloin Tips, Bopisticated, My Dinuguan and Only, Anytime Inihaw na Baboy, Where Have You Beans, You Bet Pinakbet, Togue-ther Again, Along Came Talong With Bagoong, and many others, it is no wonder that this fast food chain has been around for years giving Filipinos fun and filling Pinoy food choices.

The best thing about Binalot is that it also has an advocacy of using banana leaves as their way of supporting the environment. The use of "dahon ng saging" has been recognized and praised by many already. Binalot is not the only one right now that uses banana leaves to serve their food thus it became a business helping to support communities composed of several families.

Binalot has been using eco-friendly packaging as their contribution to the welfare of the environment and of society.

Binalot is still open for franchising opportunities. Hurry and open up your own Binalot branch soon and become one among the many entrepreneurs who supports truly Filipino-owned brands!
