144 Hours Of Summer

“Summertime is always the best of what might be.” – Said the popular American author, Charles Bowden.

I definitely agreed with him. Summer is the time for relaxation and recreation and at the same time it is the time where people make the most out of their lives. As much as I didn’t actually fulfill what I wanted for my summer to be as I just lazed around for most of the time in the house. I still enjoyed it. I guessed for the reason that I was with my friends.

Now here goes my 144 hours (6 days) of summer – the best 144 hours of my life! Not even kidding…

Some of my classmates wanted to review for the UPCAT so at the last period of our class that day we chatted if we wanted to just have the review in our school or we wanted to try other review centers. So we all agreed to the latter. We browsed through some of the brochures of those review centers which was given to us when going in and out of the school. After arguing as to what review center to choose we ended up going to PTS, a review center located at Katipunan, Quezon City.  It has an affordable price by having a 50% discount for every science high school student! Plus the review will be held for only six days! Now how awesome is that?

The review was definitely worth it. I’ve never been that ecstatic waking up early in the morning and going to school (in this case, a review center) and having to spend my 9 hours just learning and reviewing. Those moments with my friends during our LRT rides going to Katipunan like that one time some of them took up another route and ended up getting lost.

That another time when I laughed at a passenger (yes, that was a little bit mean of me) when the LRT door closed in front of her and when it was our time to get off the LRT I almost couldn’t get out since the door almost shut itself in front of me. When we knew we were going to be really late (5 minutes until our review supposed to start and we just got off the train) but still we ended up walking the longitude of Katipunan. We weren’t late but our teacher was despite that we don’t mind.

Those moments when some of our classmates in our review class doesn’t fully listen to our teacher but, instead they played with their hi-tech gadgets. Candy crushing, instagramming, playing the 4 pics and 1 word with their phones.  But still it was fun.

There’s still a lot more to tell but I don’t think I’ll be able to share it with everyone. So that was how I spent my 144 hours of summer.  Just a small fraction of my whole summer but definitely the best out of it.
