Wazzup Pilipinas!?
“Kabsat, intayon!” The heartbeat of the Cordillera is echoing once more through the bustling halls of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City as IMPAKABSAT—the region’s grandest showcase of heritage, resilience, and innovation—returns for its 33rd vibrant year. Happening from July 2 to 6, 2025, this year’s theme, “Flavors and Colors,” promises a multi-sensory journey into the soul of the highlands.
A Legacy Born from Brotherhood and Bravery
The name IMPAKABSAT isn’t just a catchy acronym—it’s a powerful symbol. Drawn from the initials of Ifugao, Mountain Province, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao, Baguio-Benguet and the Ilocano term “kabsat” (sibling), it embodies unity and kinship. First launched in the wake of the 1990 Luzon earthquake, the event emerged not merely as a trade fair, but as a healing ground for a region determined to rise—together.
Today, IMPAKABSAT is more than an expo. It’s a living, breathing tribute to the Cordillera’s identity—one woven through the hands of artisans, brewed in the soil of mountain farms, and echoed in the laughter and pride of a people deeply rooted in tradition.
