Delia D. The Musical, featuring the songs of Jonathan Manalo, had its two-screen encore show last June 28, 2025, at the Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.
The musical spectacle directed by Dexter Santos follows the story of Delia played by Phi Palmos, a drag performer who joined a singing competition, ‘Idols of the Galaxy’—in his quest for stardom.
The journey to the contest introduces a variety of musical performances, comedy, and drama as Delia navigates through the highs and lows of competition, aspiration, and self-discovery.
Delia tackles multiple challenges along the way as he will meet multiple people and personalities that will help mold the story. Shaira Opsimar who plays as Kiki will have a friendly relationship as contestants in the competition which will eventually get tested with Delia’s controversial victory of the reality show.
Joann Yap Co gives life to Anet who is the biological Mother of Delia and her guiding support throughout his journey. Joining the ensemble is John Lapus who plays Mama Eme, Delia’s drag Mother who together with the so-called, ‘Divalettes’ will guide her through the notoriety of drag and reality competition.
Other cast members include the ensemble of Floyd Tena, Tex Ordoñez-De Leon, Joshua Cabiladas, Rapah Manalo, Omar Uddin, and Chaye Mogg.
Adding excellent contributions to the cast are Mimi Marquez, Miah Canton, Alfritz Blanche, Natasha Cabrera, Mikaela Regis, Liway Perez, Cara Barredo, Cheska Quimno, Mica Fajardo, Jannah Baniasia, Julia Serad, Meg Ruiz, Cydel Gabutero, Julia Santiago, and Abi Sulit.
