Our awards keep coming and your Pambansang Blog ng Pilipinas can't help but float in cloud nine for the overwhelming recognitions that won't stop since I started the WazzupPilipinas.com blog way back March 2013.
We're only more than two years in the blogging industry yet we've been recognized by several award-giving bodies as early as our first few months - short of a year - when we decided to make our own blog mostly dedicated to Philippine events, features and destinations.
2015 is no doubt a great year for WazzupPilipinas.com as it continues to bring in so many collaborative opportunities aside from the radio show segments at Radyo Inquirer, we are also now connected with Radyo Uno, and the new TV show we are so proud to call our own - the Wazzup Pilipinas TV - the TV version of WazzupPilipinas.com. Our alliance with many members of the media will surely continue to grow and prosper.
Last night of May 7, 2015 was another accomplishment for WazzupPilipinas.com as it received another recognition for Most Trusted Blog Community in the Philippines conferred by the Best Choice Awards Council with its chairman, Wilfredo Lemque Jr. leading the awards night held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas.
WazzupPilipinas.com founder Ross Del Rosario was also awarded a Best Choice professional award for Most Innovative Tri Media Professional.
This is not the first time yours truly, Ross Del Rosario, more popularly known as the Pambansang Blogger ng Pilipinas, was recognized for my outstanding management of the WazzupPilipinas.com blog site but also of the other collaborative efforts with radio and TV networks. Our new show at IBC 13 will be shown soon every Saturday.
We consider it already a historical achievement for the once IT professional who loved to write about his experiences and so he decided to create an online journal we all come to know as a blog.
I will be forever grateful for the recognition. I will relish it today and for the many more years to come as WazzupPilipinas.com becomes bigger and better. It is awards like these that will be one of our motivators for us to continue what we have started to pass on for generations.
The ceremonial cake-cutting before starting the awards night is a nice touch. Officials of the Best Choice Awards committee gathered around to slice the cake. Though the cake was too pretty to slice, the ceremony is significantly elegant. Please do this again next year.
Every business-owner present that night had something to brag about after receiving the Best Choice Award. Everyone was awarded the "bragging rights" to proudly shout out to the world that we are making our brand globally competitive, and the award we are receiving tonight is only a continuation of our perseverance to maintain our high standards.
The featured speaker for the night was the COO (Child of Owner - as he jokingly remarks) of Filipino-owned Bel Mondo Italia Corporation, makers of the best-selling Novellino Wines. Novellino Wines is the Filipino Wine Pioneer founded by Vicente "Nonoy" Quimbo who pioneered large-scale wine production in the Philippines way back 1999. His charming son now proudly takes the stage for his father to talk about their wine brand that is really something to boast about. How I wish I could pass on such a great legacy to my children too.
After hearing from the adorable Rhoda Bariso, and taking notice of how great she looks in her alluring outfit for the night, I got to think of other possibilities that I could still pursue for the WazzupPilipinas.com site. I know there are a lot more out there that are just waiting for me to grab on so I could soar even higher up into the clouds of infinite possibilities. I'm definite the other awardees waiting for their turn to be called up into the stage are also now in the midst of planning for their next innovative schemes to further uplift their already high standards.
But what could be higher than an almost perfect world where almost anybody can become an entrepreneur now. With the advantages being offered by online marketing, everyone stands a chance to make a remarkable online presence if they really have a great product. It just needs to be known by the rest of the world, and the profits will soon automatically follow - faster than you can say "I won another award!" for next year's Best Choice Awards.
The International Marketing Group (IMG) Wealth Academy were our table mates that night where their Marketing Director shared some pointers to success. They may be a welcomed training series that could further enhance our skills to strengthen our business objectives and goals. We need all the help we can since we at WazzupPilipinas.com believe that collaboration is indeed the key to success. Everyone around us can help each other out to establish a more credible and holistic solution.
We also saw popular celebrity Vina Morales, the co-owner of Ystilo Salon, looking effortlessly beautiful as always in her glamorous dress. She received two awards that night as Best Choice Entrepreneur for Beauty and Salon Industry and the award of Ystilo Salon for Trusted Beauty Salon. From the souvenir magazine, I've learned that her real name is Sharon Magdayao - so that's why her equally popular celebrity sister is named as Shaina Magdayao.
Lifestyle network's Sharwin Tee of Curiosity Got The Chef was also there as an awardee for Best Choice Innovative Celebrity Chef. Other Best Choice Professional Awards include councilor Janella Ejercito Estrada of Mandaluyong, Krishna Hernandez of KLH Beauty Solutions for the Beauty Products Industry, Marjoree Cabral-Lorenzo of Sugarleaf Inc., for Health and Wellness Industry, Joy Escobar Ocampo of Tsokoleyt Joys for Most Innovative Television Cooking Demo Personality, Dr. Anthoy Salazar for Outstanding Aesthetic Dentist, Antonio Dumlao for Events Voice-Over Announcing and Hosting Industry, Joan Jasmin Montecillo of Jazzling Events Management for Wedding and Special Events Management Industry, Bianca Patricia Naranjo of BN Whitening Shoppe for Beauty and Wellness Industry, Crisolita Rebusi Navarro Flight School International for Aviation School Industry, and Manuel Anos of Fix Bench Salon for Quality and Trendy Stylist.

There are just so many prominent brands and personalities belonging to several industries that night that it will be very difficult to mention them all here but they know who they are. Even the performers, like Zsahara Belly Dance Group composed of Sheila Aldecoa-Morfe, DanaBuenaobra, and Cherry Meimban, and the awesome sultry singer (who I can't remember the name because I was distracted by her fabulously sexy appeal) sang quite a number of songs, were all exceptionally talented and astoundingly attractive they deserve more than just a loud applause. Our host, Joan Jasmin Montecillo, was so captivating you will have to pay attention to everything she says. Ladies will also fall in love with the voice-over emcee's well-modulated voice, namely Jun Dumlao.
The camera I have with me was a great excuse for me to stare at the performers for some photo and video coverage. I was with my wife that night but she fully understands it's just part of the job to properly document the event. One of the perks of a blogger is to be able to capture life as it progresses, and the authority to share the events to the rest of the world.
Update: I just found out that her name is Sarita. Just look at her move that body while swaying to the beat of the music. So inviting and mesmerizing that it makes you want to follow her curvy figure.
The night belonged to all of us. We are celebrating one of the best nights in our lifetime that will forever shape and mold us. The awards night is something really memorable to recall everytime we need a motivating factor to remind us we can be great if we strive hard for it.
The WazzupPilipinas.com blog has evolved into much more than just a community blog for it has gone beyond the boundaries of online when we accepted to partner with other members of the media belonging to the traditional radio, TV and magazine. We believe that forming alliances outside the blogging community is the best step towards more rewarding opportunities. Instead of competing with what was once dominating as the influencing entity, WazzupPilipinas.com has cooperated with radio, TV and print to become a one-stop media solution for businesses who prefer to work with the best choice.
Thus it is only appropriate that we would win an award dubbed as the Best Choice Annual Awards.
I'm sure the rest of the awardees that night at the 2015 Best Choice Annual Awards are very appreciative of the recognition conferred to all of them. As what the Best Choice Awards Committee Director and Chairman, Wilfredo Lemque Jr., has said during his Closing Remarks, let the award become our inspiration to continue to improve our businesses despite the numerous challenges like political reforms and economic obstacles.
May it be a constant reminder that our customers, especially our fellow Filipinos, deserve only the best we can offer so we should not stop in our effort to keep our standards at a high and remain visionaries that would always innovate and excel with the ultimate goal to become one of the very best companies. Let us not make them feel short-changed by offering inferior products or services because we all know that every peso counts.
We owe our success to our loyal customers who keep on patronizing our products and services so we must continue to work passionately and never becoming complacent.
