"Bella Poarch is a popular social media influencer with over 15 million followers on TikTok and 2 million followers on Instagram. In a recent video, a tattoo that incorporates Japan’s Rising Sun flag can be seen on her arm.

This flag is associated with Japanese imperialism, as well as Japan’s actions in World War II. It remains particularly offensive in South Korea due to Imperial Japan’s treatment of Korea while the country was under its colonial rule.

As such, Korean netizens have taken offense to Bella Poarch’s tattoo and pointed out why it’s problematic."

Bella already said she wanted to take action first by removing it before doing a formal apology, but some stupid Koreans choose to send death threats and bullying her. Do you expect Filipinos to just watch?

Bella asked for forgiveness, yet the Koreans remained toxic. 

Is it time to put down our lightsticks ang raise our flag?

There are Korean racists calling us "uneducated and small" because we are Filipino. They even had the audacity to insult our skin color. I'm Filipino before I became a KPop fan. I will raise my flag no matter what!

And now toxic Koreans were saying that Filipinos were poor and uneducated?

Even if I like KPop, their attitude is not acceptable. Bellitling Filipinos isn't right.
Don't call Filipinos uneducated when many Korean leave their own country to study the English language here in the Philippines, basically for close to free compared to the expensive studies at their own country.

They call Filipinos dumb? At least we don't pay for private tutors to teach us basic english for traveling. Filipinos are good speakers and multilingual.

Let's bring back history!

The Philippines was the first Asian country that sends combat troops just to protect Korea.

Please do remember that the 10th Battalion Filipino Soldiers' hold on Yultong was the turning point of the Korean war when South Korea was losing against communist-backed North Korea.

Without the Philippines, SK would've been a communist country by now. Be grateful SK!

Maybe we should also remind them that the Philippines is one of their biggest fanbase in Asia, thus helping their economy grow.

Filipinos have been fans of KPop personalities. We adore their cultures, music and talent. In return, are they just going to treat us like garbage? We don't deserve this type of treatment.

Imagine koreans calling us Filipinos ugly and uneducated. Who's gonna tell them University of the Philippines outranked Harvard and Oxford last year in terms of higher education and we have 187 languages and we don't need plasticsurgery to be beautiful with a heart.

Sandara Park is a pure blooded Korean who stayed here for 13 years and I salute her because she is always defending the Philippines against Koreans because she knows about the life and traits of Pinoys and she knows that they are all are wrong about Filipinos.

Remember when she defended the Philippines to her fellow Koreans? She said, "The people here are really gentle, I feel upset because the Korean media only reports crime."

Jin Ho Bae and Ryan Bang are pure Koreans but they love the Philippines, and mind you, Jin Ho Bae can speak Tagalog very fluently. Ryan Bang is making an effort to learn too.

Remember when Korea sent tons of garbage to the country? Their true colors are now shining through.

Sending the garbage back to its origin is only just, moral, and lawful.

But we need only to cancel the person(s) who offend us and not the whole country, Filipinos mindset is usually to judge everyone of their race is the same.

Two days after actress Liza Soberano aired her complaints on social media about her internet provider Converge, rival telecommunications company PLDT went to her house and installed a 300 Mbps internet connection.

For a big telecom company like PLDT to be the one to offer their service to Liza with out her applying means that she is a super influencer. When she complained about Converge, PLDT grabbed a good promo opportunity.

This telco is simping to celebrities when they complain about their internet speed. Meanwhile regular and "loyal" customers complaining day in, day out, are still not getting what they paid for.

Sana all! Grabe ka PLDT. ang lupet mo! sa susunod papapuntahin ko si Liza Soberano dito sa bahay para ma witness niya kung gaano kabagal ang internet connection ninyo dito sa amin. Lag? Lag-lag kami lagi sa connection!

Sana all si Liza para ganyan ang  pag-aasikaso nila ....kasi kapag hindi kilalang tao ay aabutin ng kalahating taon bago ninyo kabitan. Yes, I'm exaggerating but it seems that long...because you are too slow.

Suwerte naman. Samantalang yung mismong dalawang dekadang subscriber na is getting measly speeds and has nevervreached the maximum speed as advertised, would have to wait for 3-4 hours on the phone for a ho-hum customer service and still not get the issue fixed. We have to wait for several days more, do regular follow-ups and even curse the Customers Service Representative for taking weeks to fulfill the request. Sana all talaga.

Invite ko kaya si Liza sa bahay at baka sakaling mging 300mbps din. or pwede na kahit kalahati lang na 150mbps.

Really now PLDT? You've stooped down to a record low. Tsk tsk tsk... If there is any bit of truth to this, then shame on you. It's a slap on the faces of those who's been waiting for months just to have their connection either fixed or even done.

Its a prank liza. Wait few more days. Naku, di ba obvious naman na ads lang din nila ito? Free advertising sa PLDT..or was this a scripted marketing strategy?

Mas maganda pa din Converge. Sumpong lang yung lag. Pero sa PLDT? Yun na yung connection nila yung lag mismo.

Kaya people are waiting for DITO telco na kahit China company ay baka patulan namin kaysa umasa sa poor service ng Philippine telcos. Yes, kasama Globe Telecom sa blog rant na ito.

Kahit mag-spy pa si China sa mga posts ko ay OK lang kaysa ma-stress ako sa poor performance ng Internet connection ko.

PLDT is no knight in shining armor who swooped down from his horse and quickly grabbed actress Liza Soberano from the fiery dragon called Converge.  It was just after the clout it will get once Liza tweets how it saved the day.

But I guess all this promotional gimmick is backfiring on PLDT since it has rarely given satisfaction to its "regular" customers.

It was also sort of an insensitive tweet coming from Liza. A lot of Pinoys are suffering from poor internet connection so they can't WFH or attend their online school even if they are paying the same amount.....or has PLDT sponsored her lifetime?

The moral of the story: PLDT does not treat their customers equally.

Muntinlupa City: DOTr commits to help boost COVID-19 response efforts

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur P. Tugade has committed to help improve the response efforts of the local government of Muntinlupa against COVID-19 during the conduct of the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemics (CODE) Team visit in the city on 04 September 2020.

The visiting CODE Team was composed of Secretary Tugade, BCDA President and CEO and National Task Force Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon, and officials from the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The visit was held to conduct a dialogue between the national government with the local government of Muntinlupa, under the leadership of Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, on how to improve and implement key measures and strategies to address the COVID-19 situation at the community level.

To recall, in August, Cabinet Secretaries were assigned to act as “big brothers” to local officials, who shall aggressively pursue the government’s National Action Plan against COVID-19 in high-risk areas in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Secretary Tugade was assigned in Muntinlupa.

In his assessment and remarks at the event, Secretary Tugade lauded Muntinlupa’s existing response efforts, including its systematic processes, facilities, and efficient people and leaders, as essential factors in combating the dreaded disease. This, as the Muntinlupa LGU has effective local initiatives for testing, contact tracing and treatment, such as the establishment of molecular laboratory, crematorium facilities, and isolation facilities.

To intensify the said initiatives, the transportation chief has committed to help boost the isolation measures being enforced by the city. This will be carried out by tapping the resources of hotels, pension houses, and resort houses to accommodate patients who need isolation.

Secretary Tugade also shared that an additional isolation facility will be built within the city through the help of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar.

Moreover, through the CODE Team, other necessary COVID-19 efforts are being amplified, such as the fast-tracking of Muntinlupa’s molecular laboratory accreditation, providing the additional PCR machine in the molecular laboratory in Ospital ng Muntinlupa, and following-up of additional five (5) ambulances from the Health Department.

On 20 August 2020, Muntinlupa City also received a fully-equipped ambulance, which was a donation from Foton Motors PH Inc. that was facilitated by Secretary Tugade.

Moreover, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory has also recently approved several jeepney and UV Express routes in Muntinlupa.

"Marami pa po ang dapat gawin. Ngunit itong mga ginagawa natin ngayon ang magbibigay-tibay sa puso at liderato ng administrasyong Duterte na tutulong at tutulong sa isang siyudad na kagaya ng Muntinlupa," Secretary Tugade said.

"Dito natin nakita ‘yung pagsisikap ng National Government, lalo na po sa pamamagitan ni Secretary Tugade na [tulungang] tumayo ang Muntinlupa. Maraming-maraming salamat po,” Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said.
