IoT Summit, All Ladies League, and The Filipino Rambler at Radyo Inquirer's Vigattin Radio Show

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Hackathons have made the word "hacker" so glamorous nowadays because it now means someone who wants to change and improve the world. The numerous organizations and companies who have either organized or sponsored such events and encouraged even the youth to participate are totally making hacking a heroic act.

By 2020, the number of devices connected to the Internet is expected to exceed 40 billion and it would be awesome to get started in creating and innovating ideas that would help us lead the trend.

From the organizers of the very successful Hack The Climate events, they now also present to you the IOT Summit Philippines - An Internet of Things expo and hackathon. The event aims to introduce you to the IoT ecosystem consisting of hardware, software and cloud providers.

Our guests were Elaine Cedillo, Diego Ramos, and were joined by Chris Misola, a Technology Evangelist from Microsoft who is a major sponsor of the IoT Summit, plus the HR Head of 8Layer Technologies who shared to us some of the job opening of their tech company.

What is the Internet of Things? Internet of Things (IoT), which is where just about anything can be provided with unique identifiers and given the ability to transfer data without requiring human interaction.

Be able to drive revenue opportunities & solving business problems across multiple industries & in nearly all business functional areas. This will be very useful for technology & business decision makers to evaluate IoT and its impact on their businesses, and for you to unleash the power of IoT through cloud, big data and analytics.

If you want to collaborate / participate as an exbitor or sponsor, please email info@econnext.com

Meantime, ladies who find time out of their comfort to exert extra effort to do outreach and advocacy programs are phenomenally increasing. We see lots of ladies joining organizations that strive to also make our society female-friendly.

Guesting on the show was Kaye Riguer, the Manila chapter head for All Ladies League in the Philippines. They plan to also have chapters in other parts of the country soon.

We met Kaye, and some of his ALL members, during the Wazzup Pilipinas Bloggers Post-Holiday Party at KL Tower Serviced Residences which led us to ask if beauty was part of the requirement to become a member. Just like our new Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, who wouldn't be amazed to discover an All Ladies League that encompasses beauty inside and out.

She also mentioned that she finds herself doing the same things for ALL even after she finally gets married and have a family. I hope all would find the time to reach out and help people since every little thing we do matters.

The All Ladies League (ALL) is the world’s largest All-inclusive international women’s chamber and a movement for the Welfare, Wealth, and Wellbeing of ALL. It is also an ALL inclusive Worldwide Web of Women Leadership and Entrepreneurship in ALL Spheres & Sectors, at ALL Levels and for ALL Sections of Society & Cultures. The acronym ALL stands for their mindset and culture of loving outreach and integration that they hope will create a cultural shift toward seeing one in ALL and ALL in One.

With an All-encompassing vision to seamlessly connect women from ALL strata of society, from ALL spheres of work & cultures and from ALL parts of the world, they are committed to promoting the cause of women’s leadership and women’s friendship across the world.

They are dedicated to energizing women’s leadership and positive engagement in society through bringing out their innate abilities of Leadership, Courage, Resilience, Community and Collective Action.

ALL is a labor of love to connect up women of the world in a spirit of sisterhood so that they can co-create a culture of sharing and caring in ALL walks of life. With over 350+ chapters, They are the fastest growing worldwide web of women where women across strata and societies are coming together to discover their strengths and leadership in unprecedented ways. They are focused on enhancing women’s leadership in ALL fields through Inclusion, Inspiration and Innovation toward greater welfare, wellbeing and wealth for ALL.

I would also like to thank my co-anchor for the day, fellow blogger Alan Bobis, who accepted my invitation to accompany me in the hosting last Saturday January 30 from 10 to 11 am. He is also rebranding his blog from Blogags and Tsugugs to The Filipino Rambler. I'm sure he had a wonderful time as it was his first stint to do radio hosting.

For almost 10 years of blogging and using the old name, he is now ready to level up his blogging activities. We talked about rebranding and how he doesn't mind if some other blogger uses a blog name similar to his. After all, there are so many other blogs, and branding, that are almost similar to each other. Regardless of how the Internet has made us all connected and involved, the world still has a lot of opportunities for everyone that there is no need to mind trivial and minuscule things that can easily be overcomed if you truly believe in your brand.

This has been Ross Del Rosario, your Pambansang Blogger ng Pilipinas of WazzupPilipinas.com, wishing all the best to our guests and their endeavors. Special thanks to all our listeners for tuning in and we hope to have you all again next Saturday. "Mabuhay kayong lahat!!!"
