Pledging to Drive Safely With Innovative Technologies from Ford

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I pledge to drive safe and with Ford Philippines new safety features in their cars, they're making it a lot easier to keep safe in the streets. These new high-tech features are Ford's way to take care for their customers.

There was a sneek peak into the future of safety and driver assist technologies at the Bonifacio Global City last October 25 and 26 to showcase the innovative technologies that can benefit drivers.

Ford is taking us forward further towards convenience and safety with latest technologies that will surely keep us safe while driving on the road. today and in the near future.

The "Caring for Tomorrow" campaign is to promote public awareness and safe driving habits, and to invite others to drive safely for themselves and their loved ones.

Ford is a pioneer in implementing technologies that are committed to provide safe vehicles in the Philippines and around the world. They are going further to develop accessible, affordable and innovative safety technologies. Their engineers are putting themselves in the consumers' shoes to develop features and technologies that make the on-road experience safer and smarter.

Several technologies were introduced to us in special demonstrations and talks conducted by Ford Philippines representatives, many of whom were specialists who came all the way from other countries to share their knowledge about Ford's latest safety features.

Participants learn about Adaptive Cruise control which helps drivers maintain a safe following distance; and Ford SYNC, which allows drivers to stay connected while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

There was also MyKey, an industry-first technology that allows parents to program a key for younger drivers to limit their speed, radio volume, or disables the radio until the seat belts are fastened. It also prevents deactivation of driver assistance and safety technologies.

Active City Stop was designed to mitigate and, in certain circumstances, avoid low-speed rear-end collisions with stationary or slower-moving traffic in front.

Active Park Assist will allow the car to steer itself into a parallel parking space.

Visitors were allowed to try out special suitslike the Empathy Belly to simulate a pregnant woman, and the Third Age Suit to simulate restriced movement.

The Third Age Suits simulates old age, pregnancy or disability restrictions.

There's now even an airbag designed to make it safer for us especially for the kids, when there are dangers of collissions.

So there's even a voice-activated music player except that they haven't integrated one that is capable of changing the volume.

I also had the opportunity to drive a ford Focus to try out the Active city Stop safety feature.

My friends were able to try out the Active Park Assist.

Driving a Ford Focus was cool and classy!

The future of safety is here with Ford that has a history of pioneering technology. Ford engineers have been brainstorming for ideas in safety even before people realize they need them. In the coming years we may see technologies that are way advanced of our time like vehicles being able to communicate with each other. It's like they are talking with each other! Then there will eventually be a technology that would allow our vehicles to talk to infrastructures and traffic management systems.

All of these technologies are being designed to improve mobility, reduce emissions and fuel consumptions, so we could all be driving safely in our roads.
