Awed at the Spectacle of the Dancing Fountain of Vigan, Ilocos Sur

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The Dancing Fountain located at Vigan Plaza of Vigan, Ilocos Sur as added to the influx of tourists in Vigan which was formerly just a city passed by on the way to other destinations. Now tourists opt to stay overnight so they could see this spectacle during weekends.

The Dancing Fountain is of Korean Technology. The very first setup of its kind in the Philippines. Now, others are following this, like the most recent is the one at Okada Manila. I'm just not sure if it's the same Korean technology because I keep failing to attend the invitation of Okada when they showcase the fountain at events. I guess it's about time I initiate a visit and interview the people.

Regardless of who first made this kind of attraction, it is truly a sight to behold. The mixture of music, lights, and images moving in synchronicity is an amazing display worthy of viewing.

We were there when the project was still ongoing construction, and we're toured personally by the former governor Luis "Chavit" Singson. He took the time to explain about his project to add another attraction to Vigan city.

At a recent visit we made in Vigan (when the fountain has been in operation for a few years already), we interviewed the man behind the controls of the Dancing Fountain of Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

On the video, you'll learn how Vigan's tourist visits went to an all-time high because of this attraction that they boasts as the first in the Philippines.

We also have a brief preview to show how the Dancing fountain looks like. Aside from the varying colorful lights, and synchronized movements of the water with the music, you'll see the video mapping technology that is focused on the fountain to show images and words for added viewing pleasure.

Almost every equipment and material down to the rust-proof nuts and bolts were from Korea to assure they will never rust within our many lifetimes.

Now adding to the equally majestic street called Calle Crisologo, night time at Vigan became a lot more active because of the Dancing Fountain.

We got to interview a few tourists who were doing lots of photo ops with the sights there and they confirmed that they did go on an overnight in Vigan before they proceeded to their next destination. True enough, the former governor's vision to energize the night life in Vigan became a reality.

We look forward to visiting Vigan again soon because we will never get tired of watching this attraction. I'm sure they have different versions of this programmable wonder and improvements are abound to happen again with the advancement of technology in the near future.

The Sure Ilocos campaign highlights the Dancing Fountain as one of the must-see attractions in Ilocos Sur, and it is without any doubt that visitors of the province will definitely add this in their travel itinerary.
