Each and everyone mentioned in the line-up of awardees have proven to be an inspiration for others for accomplishments and achievements worthy of emulation. Every entrepreneur would want to reach their optimum capability and strive for it not just with hard work but strategically with a smarter way to reach their goals.

We are fully appreciative when we are getting noticed for all our efforts to further encourage us to continue striving for greater success. We owe our awards to our customers, followers, clients, .....and believers - those who have faith and trust on us to patronize our products, services, advocacies and everything else we have to offer.

Awards are like pretty icings on a cake. They don't just make the cake beautiful but also a lot tastier than just having a vanilla or chocolate chiffon. It elevates a brand to a higher level because being decorated with more sugar is undeniably sweet. We get to eat our cake too, but we continue to come up with more layers and decorative trinkets to further make our cake an eyecandy.

However, we should always remember to improve on our base. None of those outer ornaments are any good if the bigger and equally important part of our cake is not as tasty.

Wazzup Pilipinas is also grateful for getting an award this year as a top Social Media Influencer as we also continue to adjust, adapt, evolve during this pandemic.

In everything that we do, we always think of our followers. We owe all our success to them who continue to be there with us throughout the years.

Congratulations to all of us, and may we all flourish and become an inspiration to others.

Respect Selena Gomez, Cancel Saved by the Bell Reboot

Wazzup Pilipinas?!

“I will always shine threw at the end of the day, I had a lot of people try too tear me down but I’m here “- Selena Gomez

A disrespectful show did make fun of Selena Gomez’s disease. This is unacceptable.

It crushes me that people are so cruel to her. She is the most adorable person in the world. I wish i can protect her from all the bad things.

They should seriously delete that episode or apologize to her! Selena really deserves better than people treat her! She has made it so far in her career and her fans should be really proud of her! Look how confident she has become! We love you Selena!

Not just Selenators, even Beliebers, Arianators, Lovatics, Smilers, Katy cats and more fandoms are all coming together to RESPECT SELENA GOMEZ. Wow!!!

Using what Selena Gomez went through for entertainment is blatantly insensitive and wrong. What she went through was real and it wasn't easy. It's so incredibly disgusting seeing it be used as a joke for entertainment.

Selena Gomez is a self made woman that has been working tirelessly since she was a child. She has gone through panic attacks, rehab, a kidney transplants, and deals with lupus daily. Her health is not something to joke about.

Selena suffered so much from lupus. She thought she will die in the surgery and even said goodbye to us. She was really dying. Her surgery was so critical. How can you be so cruel?

She went through so much and there are still people who joke about her surgery.

This was literally Selena’s goodbye to her fans in case she didn’t make it through her surgery. Lupus is not a joke whatsoever.

Her music, her vulnerability, her honesty.... everything about Selena Gomez just HITS.

The media and award shows neglecting her, kidney jokes being made like it’s a sense of humour, it’s so sad seeing how much hate this pure soul gets.

She had clearly said that her intention was never to become a tabloid. So when things kind of happened that way, it got out of control. And then Like, 'Wait, none of this is true

Just be kind to each other.

Joking about someone's sickness, disability or disease is definitely not funny.

Selena always spreads kindness and minds her own business, so the least we can do is show that we love and respect her too.

Selena is one of the least problematic people in the industry and yet they always attack her because they know she won't say anything. Imagine how tired we are.

For anyone mocking her illness, she had already suffered so much. Believe me, no one wishes to suffer and with all of this, Selena remains a strong woman, so I am very proud of her and we love her.

Because they criticize an angel who had to undergo an operation to save her life. A person who gives all of her to help fans and people, makes donations for anyone, and is learning to speak Spanish to communicate with your Latino fans.

Respect Selena Gomez.

“I had everything, and I was absolutely broken inside.”

Selena wrote A Sweeter Place about her near-death experience, and finding inner peace, a safe space for her and her feelings, and it’s such an underrated song.

Remember when Selena released this masterful song and music video back in 2017, both of which indirectly tackling her fight against lupus? Her situation and her perseverance will NEVER go unnoticed.

"YOU matter and you are beyond watched over" was Selena's caption on a post she thought would be her last due to her kidney surgery.. she always made sure to be there for others and she deserves BETTER.

She went through hell and people are still making nasty jokes about something which is important. Her music, her vulnerability her honesty, everything about Selena Gomez just HITS.

The media and award shows neglecting her, and how horrible are the kidney jokes being made like this as if it was not life-threatening.

Imagine thinking someone's life threatening surgery is something to be made fun of. How disgusting do you have to be to make jokes about something as serious as a kidney transplant.

Selena Gomez is the kindest person you'll ever see. She doesn't deserve hate. Her heart is full of kindness. Leave her alone. Let her live her best life.

Selena never checks her social medias because of the hate she is getting all these years and I just want her to see RESPECT SELENA GOMEZ just so she can feel loved again.

RESPECT SELENA GOMEZ

Ship owners to receive financial assistance, returning seafarers to get free COVID-19 testing

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The critically-impacted Maritime Sector will get needed relief as the Department of Transportation (DOTr), through the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), is set to waive the collection of some port fees for shipping companies/operators, and provide returning seafarers with free coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing.

The said initiatives will be implemented starting 01 December 2020, following the provisions under RA 11494, also known as the “Bayanihan to Recover as One Act” (Bayanihan 2).

To reduce the adverse effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the shipping industry, the amount of P250 million will be utilized as financial assistance to subsidize the fees to be collected from domestic shipping owners, specifically, dockage (domestic) and lay-up fee (domestic).

For shipping companies/operators to avail of the financial assistance, they must be a holder of a valid Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC), Provisional Authority (PA), or Special Permit (SP) issued by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA). Additionally, shipping companies/operators must be a holder of a valid accreditation certificate issued by PPA. Shipping companies/operators who have pending applications for accreditation are also eligible, unless otherwise said application has been denied by PPA.

The financial assistance shall also be on a ‘first come, first served’ and per vessel, per transaction bases.

Meanwhile, the other financial assistance amounting to P270 million allocated for the Maritime Sector will be utilized to fund the COVID-19 testing of returning Filipino seafarers.

Only inbound or returning Filipino seafarers who have disembarked through Philippine ports and airports are entitled to avail of the free COVID-19 testing, as covered by the Bayanihan 2 fund. This will be conducted by a service provider to be sourced by the PPA.

DOTr Secretary Arthur P. Tugade said the financial assistance, in the form of the waived fees and free COVID-19 testing, will be of great help to maritime workers who were greatly affected by the economic downturn.

“Patunay ‘ho ito na hindi pinapabayaan ng ating mahal na Pangulo ang ating mga kababayan, lalo na ang mga bayani nating seafarers. Malaking tulong ito sa kanila lalo pa’t wala pang kasiguraduhan kung kailan matatapos itong pandemya,” the transportation chief said.

For his part, PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago affirmed that the financial assistance will be implemented immediately.

“We are grateful for the support coming from our beloved President Rodrigo Duterte for the allocation of funds to the critically-impacted Maritime sector. Ever since the COVID-19 broke out, our maritime workers have been vital to keep the economy thriving. They are also considered as frontline workers during these challenging times and so we will implement this as soon as possible,” GM Santiago said.
