Eden Queso de Bola Flavor: Exclusive Only for this Holiday Season!

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I'm the designated pancake chef in our home since I am the only one who could almost perfectly cook a pancake with less spills, no burnt and acceptably circular in shape. I also  creatively use other ingredients to upgrade my cooking by adding raisins, choco chips, salted egg slices, and cheese while the pancake is still in the frying fan. The additional flavoring adds to the overall beauty and taste of our favorite breakfast dish every weekend. The butter and maple or honey syrup goes on top for the final touch when the pancakes are already on the plates. I must say I mastered pancake cooking!

But it is not only in pancakes where I use cheese as special ingredients to perk up the taste. All my pasta dishes are never without cheese. Also my main dishes like "Hamonado" or "Cordon Bleu" would always be better if it had more cheese in it. Likewise, all my dessert creations must have cheese to make it the best of its kind "Buko Salad".

But I don't settle for just any brand of cheese. I've tried most brands out there in the Philippine local market and I could say that the best is undoubtedly Eden. Not only is it perfect for the Filipino taste, it is also very affordable. This is why cheese would always be part of our everyday routine from morning until night time especially during weekends when almost everyone is at home enjoying a movie marathon or just lounging over hot coffee or choco while reading the latest news online.

One small rectangular block of cheese would only last for a day with us so we would often buy the bigger size to last us at least a week. But it disappears quickly especially when there's a special occasion celebrated by the family like a birthday or anniversary.

Creating Memorable Journals and Corkboards with Fujifilm instax Camera and Share Printer

Wazzup Pilipinas!
There's only one convenient way to immortalize memories and have them safely tucked inside your wallet or proudly posted anywhere like a corkboard or even your journal....and that's with the Fujifilm instax!

The best way to keep or share memories is to be able to print them instantly and boast them on display for all your friends and families to see.

My first encounter with the Instax is when a fellow blogger was carrying a particular model of it and taking our all photos individually twice. I initially wondered why two copies, and eventually found out that he is giving one to each of us and the other one for him to keep as a memory of our time travelling together. True enough, it beats any digital or online version because you get to cherish it more by adding a signature or message either on the front or the back of the photo. It is personalized and heartfelt.

I was invited to an afternoon of coffee and crafts as I got the opportunity to use my creativity in an event organized by Fujifilm instax and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (CBTL), in partnership with Camerahaus, as master crafter Nica Cosio taught the attendees of the event how to create impressive designs for our journal covers and corkboard displays. With the use of tapes, watercolors, scissors, colored papers and other items, including our precious photos  from our smartphones printed instantly using the Instax Share printer, we tried our best to tap into and bring out our inner creativity.

With the instax SHARE SP-2, you can make instax prints by sending the images from your smartphone directly to the printer. You can now turn your memorable moments into tangible keepsakes and share them with friends and loved ones.

The instax SHARE SP-2 is a small printer that allows users to produce instax prints using images sent wirelessly from a smartphone. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery and comes with a USB cable that you can connect to a portable charger (power bank)—perfect for travelers or those who are always on the go.

Unlike its predecessor, the instax SHARE SP-2 prints photos faster --- 10 seconds! --- and with a more improved image quality. It has new functions to meet users’ preferences and fit their lifestyle of taking and editing photos with smartphones. It also has a new exposure system that promises a higher image resolution.

Once connected to the instax Share app, available for iOS and Android, you can edit images and choose different templates and filters before you print. The “Custom filter” lets you adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation of the image. The “Collage template” is a fun way to combine two to four images and print it out onto a single film sheet.

It seems there are so many imaginative people out there, especially with the youth, as most who were recognized as impressive works belonged to the youth generation. But we were also surprised that a man was also included among the four that were noted as top designs for both corkboard and journal designs. Two of them got to bring home their very own instax camera.

We also have an exclusive interview with Nica herself, and the Marketing of Fujifilm instax. You may watch them posted on our Facebook fan page at http://www.Facebook.com/wazzuppilipinas or at our YouTube channel at http://www.YouTube.com/user/wazzuppilipinas

The craft making sort of brought out my childhood memories when artworks were a common activity. Now that digital or online graphics have become a popular alternative, it was like a breath of fresh air having to manually create designs using our hands, and how to become resourceful using whatever is infront of us...or even under the table, around the room, or inside our bags, to use as items to further beautify our designs.

The instax photos made the design a lot more intimate since it now included a personal touch the moment we added photos of ourselves, friends, families and other loved ones on our creations. You'll definitely enjoy printing more memories on the instax Share Printer.

5 Tips for Buying a Laptop

Wazzup Pilipinas!

When you think about how far laptops have come in the past few years, it's no wonder that so many people want to buy a laptop these days. There are many things one should consider when buying a laptop, especially since the variety of choices is increasing rapidly. Buying a laptop is an expensive investment, so you want to make sure you make a wise purchase. That's why I put together this list of five tips for buying a laptop. If you are a coder and want the best coding laptop, these tips will help you make the right purchase when you buy your new laptop.

#1 Size Definitely Matters

That's what she said. Just kidding. In all seriousness, one of the greatest variables to consider when buying a laptop is the size. This is because the size effects many other variables such as, the price, the convenience and how the laptop will meet your needs in terms of mobility. How often will you be traveling with your laptop? How much weight do you consider to be heavy? It's up to you to answer these questions for yourself before you buy a laptop.

The overall size of the computer will usually determine the size of the screen and the keyboard, as well. I for one, do not like typing on a small keyboard. So if I happen to be working on a laptop, I prefer that it is a large one with a good sized keyboard.

#2 The Right Touch Pad

Laptops all come with a built-in touch pad that serves as a mouse. Not all touch pads are created equally, however. Some touch pads offer features that others don't. You should test out the touch pad on the laptop you are considering to make sure it meets your standards. Some people just don't like using touch pads. I don't at all. Which raises another thing to be considered. What type of external mouses are available for the laptop? Although nowadays almost everything is USB, so that really shouldn't be too much of an issue.

#3 Optical Drive

Not very long ago, Apple released the Mac Book Air, a laptop that is super-slim because it does not have an optical CD/DVD drive. This is great because it makes the laptop extremely light and easy to carry in any type of bag or case. Of course, the obvious downside to this is that your laptop has no CD/DVD drive. So you can never watch a DVD on it, or pop in a blank CD to backup data or transfer files. To determine if you should buy a laptop without an optical drive, you need to really asses and evaluate what you will be using your computer for. Six months down the line you may run into a situation where you really regret not having that optical drive if you don;t really think this one through well enough.

#4 Count the Ports

From time to time, you are probably going to need to hookup external hardware to your laptop via USB or some other type of connection. This should also be given some serious consideration. Will two USB ports really be enough for you? Come on, be honest. If you have a printer, an iPod a digital camera, and a flash drive, that's already four separate devices that you may (for whatever reasons) want to have connected to your laptop simultaneously. If you don't have enough ports, you are out of luck. Not to mention, it's just annoying to have to constantly remove and connect different hardware all the time.

#5 Calculate a Realistic Budget

The reason I say calculate a "realistic" budget is because it's far too easy to go overboard when buying a computer. Especially with all the financing that is available from companies like, DELL and Apple. $2,000 doesn't look so bad when it's presented as only $30 a month. But when you're still paying that bill two years from now and you now want another new computer, it's going to be a huge bummer, and you will regret overspending. Having a realistic spending goal will also narrow down your decisions for you by eliminating those laptops which are simply out of your spending range.
