What You Must Avoid Following Your Botox Treatment? Let’s Find Out!

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

In the few hours after undergoing Botox, it is crucial to keep in mind that inevitable mistakes or errors might jeopardize the effort, time, and money you have invested in the process.

The two main outfalls that are harmed include the longevity of the procedure and getting optimum results. Here, let us find out the things you must not do or rather avoid if you want to derive the maximum benefit from botox treatment.

Things to avoid immediately following a botox procedure

Here is a list of things that you have to be careful about:

Facial expressions

Exaggerated facial expressions will cause more harm than good, even if that means smiling. Doing so can displace the botox that your cosmetologist has injected in the area. As a result, the benefits will be far less than what you deserve. Pay attention to the following:

Avoid squinting and frowning – These actions cause the facial muscles to contract, which does not allow the proper dose of medicine to settle.

Keep expressions natural – As long as you are not overusing your facial muscles, it should be fine.

Rest the treated area – Allow the area treated with Botox to rest. You will get the best results by doing so.

The Botox Encinitas service provider, assuming you are in this part of California, will give you similar guidelines. Having highlighted the restrictions related to facial muscles, let us explore other activities that you should refrain from.

Avoid massaging or touching the treated area

Massaging or touching the area can exacerbate the issue. It leads not just to the displacement of Botox but also to the target muscle not getting the correct dosage of the injectable. Touching the area, even by mistake, may enhance the risk of bruising. It may become unsightly. In other words, it may lead to unpredictable cosmetic results that can be irreversible or require a subsequent procedure to correct.

Workouts and vigorous activities

Just as you must keep a calm and natural facial expression without stretching and squinting your face, the same applies to physical activity as well. Vigorous activity may increase blood flow to the area, thereby dispersing the medicine even before it has a chance to settle in the targeted muscle.

What physical activities should you avoid after getting Botox?

The guidelines mentioned above or in this write-up are universally applicable irrespective of whether you have gotten the treatment done by a Botox cosmetologist or from any other practitioner across the country. Check this out:

High-intensity workouts involve cardiovascular exercises such as cycling, aerobics, and running. They lead to increased blood flow and circulation, which also impact the targeted area or muscles and displace them. The same reasoning applies to other activities, such as lifting weights and hot yoga.

Summing it up

Even after you feel better and assume that the injectable has settled in the targeted muscles, there are a few activities you should avoid. These include:

Blood thinners.

Sauna and hot baths.

Refrain from lying down for long. Remain upright instead.

Following the above tips will ensure that the procedure you undergo yields optimum results, with an effect that lasts for a long time.

Ice Seguerra Unveils First All-Original Album ‘Being Ice,’ Announces Two-Night Concert in September

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Lead single “Shelter of the Broken” launches on Pride Day, June 28; full album drops August 8

Quezon City, Philippines — After nearly four decades of serenading the nation with timeless ballads, chart-topping covers, and unforgettable live performances, Filipino music legend and LGBTQIA+ trailblazer Ice Seguerra is finally stepping into the most personal chapter of his artistic journey—one that’s been years in the making, and unapologetically his.

His newest project, Being Ice, is a groundbreaking all-original 8-track album, set to launch on August 8. But the soul of the album will be introduced earlier with its powerful lead single, “Shelter of the Broken,” dropping today, June 28, in time for Pride Day and Metro Manila’s biggest celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride.

A project unlike any other, this marks Ice Seguerra’s first full-length album entirely under his name—and for the first time, he’s not just performing music. He’s telling his story.

“This is the most personal I’ve ever been,” Seguerra reveals. “I’ve always written songs in fragments, but this is the first time I allowed the world to hear all of me—every fear, every hope, every truth—through one cohesive body of work.”

From Becoming to Being

In 2022–2023, Seguerra’s concert Becoming Ice explored his transition, his growth, and the evolution of his identity. Now, Being Ice is the next chapter—a testament to what it means to live fully in that identity.

If Becoming Ice was about finding his voice, Being Ice is about using it to speak, to sing, and to heal.

“This isn’t just another album,” says Fire & Ice Creative Producer Liza Diño. “This is a legacy. After decades of interpreting other people’s stories, Ice is finally sharing his own—raw, unfiltered, and without compromise.”

The album features the artistic brilliance of longtime collaborator and hitmaker Jonathan Manalo, as well as contributions from musical heavyweights Mike Villegas, Vince De Jesus, Trisha Denise, Ivan Lee Espinosa, and Diño herself.

The album’s title, originally I Am Ice, evolved into something far more profound—Being Ice. As Diño explains, “It’s no longer just about identity. It’s about embodiment. It’s Ice stepping into his full power—authentically, vulnerably, brilliantly.”

A Musical Memoir Ten Years in the Making

Being Ice charts Seguerra’s journey through depression, healing, love, and queer joy. It’s his first original release since 2015’s Araw Gabi, but it’s more than a return—it’s a reclamation.

Tracklist:

Shelter of the Broken – a raw anthem for survival and mental health

Ikaw Lang – a song about love that spans time and distance

Nandiyan Ka – a heartfelt ode to a father’s silent support

Wag Na Lang Pala – a catchy hugot track about the friend zone

Lost in Time – an aching narrative of love hidden in the shadows

Ikaw Pala ’Yon – a love song born from wedding vows

Natapos ang Lahat – an elegy for the love that stays, even after it ends

Anino – a defiant coming-out anthem that embraces truth with pride

Bonus track – to be revealed

Each track is an echo of lived experience—sometimes tender, sometimes heart-wrenching, but always honest.

Shelter, Visibility, and Pride

Released on Pride Day, Shelter of the Broken is the emotional heartbeat of the album. Written in the dark solitude of the pandemic, while Seguerra quietly battled depression, the song is a cry for peace and an offering of refuge.

“Free me from the demons in my head,” he sings—words that will no doubt resonate with anyone who’s ever faced their own silent battles.

Coming out publicly as a transgender man in 2014, Seguerra has long been a symbol of courage and authenticity. With Being Ice, he merges that advocacy with artistry—showing that the most powerful form of visibility can often come through a song.

Being Ice: Live In Concert

To celebrate the release, Seguerra will headline a two-night concert titled Being Ice: Live at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on September 12 and 13. This isn’t just a concert—it’s a full-circle experience.

Structured in three acts—The Roots, The Fire, and The Truth—the performance will feature a fusion of Seguerra’s musical past, present, and future. Expect fan favorites, stunning storytelling, and the world premiere of his latest works. Tickets are now available via TicketWorld.

A Turning Point For OPM

As the local music scene continues to flourish with artist-driven projects and deeply personal works, Being Ice rises as a defining moment—not just for Seguerra, but for Filipino music. It’s a celebration of authenticity, a fearless embrace of identity, and a love letter to those who have ever questioned whether they were enough.

For loyal fans, this is the Ice they’ve waited to meet. For new listeners, it’s a powerful first impression. And for Ice Seguerra himself, it is both liberation and legacy.

Release Calendar:

June 28 – Shelter of the Broken (lead single)

July 18 – Wag Na Lang Pala and Nandiyan Ka

August 8 – Being Ice (full album release)

September 12 & 13 – Being Ice: Live concert at Newport Performing Arts Theater

“This is me, finally,” Seguerra says. “And I hope, through these songs, people find pieces of themselves too.”
