His newest project, Being Ice, is a groundbreaking all-original 8-track album, set to launch on August 8. But the soul of the album will be introduced earlier with its powerful lead single, “Shelter of the Broken,” dropping today, June 28, in time for Pride Day and Metro Manila’s biggest celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride.

A project unlike any other, this marks Ice Seguerra’s first full-length album entirely under his name—and for the first time, he’s not just performing music. He’s telling his story.

“This is the most personal I’ve ever been,” Seguerra reveals. “I’ve always written songs in fragments, but this is the first time I allowed the world to hear all of me—every fear, every hope, every truth—through one cohesive body of work.”

From Becoming to Being

In 2022–2023, Seguerra’s concert Becoming Ice explored his transition, his growth, and the evolution of his identity. Now, Being Ice is the next chapter—a testament to what it means to live fully in that identity.

The album features the artistic brilliance of longtime collaborator and hitmaker Jonathan Manalo, as well as contributions from musical heavyweights Mike Villegas, Vince De Jesus, Trisha Denise, Ivan Lee Espinosa, and Diño herself.

The album’s title, originally I Am Ice, evolved into something far more profound—Being Ice. As Diño explains, “It’s no longer just about identity. It’s about embodiment. It’s Ice stepping into his full power—authentically, vulnerably, brilliantly.”
