Burger King: Not a new but a return of an old logo

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"In case you missed it, world-famous Burger King just refreshed their visual identity by introducing a brand new logo for the first time in 20 years. The retro-inspired logo and entire brand overhaul was a collaborative work between their in-house artists and creative firm Jones Knowles Ritchie.

BEEN SCREAMING *~internally~* for the last hour, because I love a well-executed homage to vintage logos. That BK monogram alone is already my favorite design of the year. I thought it's neat, classic yet modern, timeless, and exudes so much warmth and positivity in a time where the world is uninspired and scared of bold changes.

Minimalism isn't always lazy work." - Dexter Balita

It is an old logo. That Burger King change of logo is not to a new logo, but an old one. That's their 4th logo in the 90s when they hit it big internationally. It is their lucky charm and they need it now in this pandemic. They changed their logo to the old to be talked about again just like what we are doing now. Their main message is probably - "We're still the same old yummy taste! We have not changed."

Pizza Hut did the same thing. It is now a successful logo return? Why? We're talking about it now! Now, get your phone and order a whopper now! Lol!

Looks meh and boring to me.
Can they make it any more simpler and any more uninteresting?

This is my blunt and personal opinion btw. I love the "retro" look with the blue ring better.

I'm a fan of minimalism but, this just looks like a regular bland burger...

The lone two colors do look kinda bland, but the orange for the buns strike me better honestly. I wish it wasn't TOO simple. The second and smaller logo is a bit genius though. The BK monogram looks cool!

Minimalism is an art movement where removing the unnecessary is involved. The process of minimalism is making something, then removing what's not needed.

I refuse to call works "minimalist" if they skipped and jumped the process. That"s called "lazy."

In marketing, there are also factors of smell and music/sounds to consider. Unless my teacher and books were whack.

Human behavior is also studied in marketing, so even the subconscious thoughts of a person are considered.

I find these things interesting, especially since it explains how people might feel towards products.

Logos are part of packaging. With the technology right now, scripted advertising presentations are not that effective anymore because customers react fast and can talk to others immediately about the product. Who cares about the logo now. It's the quality of the product and the series of reviews/endorsements/criticisms of the consumers. You can't lie about the product or you're doomed. // The game right now is like buying a product online. Before you order it, you review first the comments/ratings of those who bought already. It is now a different ballgame in marketing a product.

That's called word of mouth, an old but gold study.

But, then again- why bother changing the logo if it doesn't matter?

("who cares about the logo?")

They should've just kept consistent with their Angry Whoppers and mad better onions but they just won't listen.

Instead we get a "new" (actually "returned") logo.

Minute Burger"s logo has personality at least- minimalistic but with flavor.

Noticed the logo of Australia's Hungry Jack's?

Hungry Jack's is owned by Burger King apparently. Never had it seems to be exclusive to Australia.

The name "Burger King" was already taken in Australia so when Burger King opened a branch there that they had to pick another name.

Although it's a little confusing since now there's Hungry Jack's AND Burger King -- sometimes in the same vicinity of each other. But I guess it works for them? lol.

Well, I hope the return of an old logo do wonders for the brand. Our businesses do need to perk things up because this pandemic has indeed made earning potentials almost at rock bottom. People don't order that much anymore due to the scare of the Coronavirus.

UP’s emotional support dogs get boost from TopBreed, UP Fighting Maroons on UP Doggo Day

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Nineteen dogs from the Emotional Support Animals (ESA) Program of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) received a Holiday treat from the UP Fighting Maroons Basketball Team and its newest sponsor TopBreed, the leading Philippine-made dog food brand in the country.

TopBreed provided the dogs with 900 kilograms of high-quality dog food and essentials like TopB+ vitamins and ShamPooch dog shampoo. The canines underwent general check-up and deworming, and were given anti-rabies vaccines administered by the TopBreed veterinarians. TopBreed provided pet supplies to ESA handlers from the different UPD colleges and units for dogs under their supervision. Efforts were coordinated with the Friends of Campus Animals (FOCA UP), the first campus-based animal welfare volunteer group that helps with the ESA program. UPD’s Balay Kaibigan houses the emotional support animals that also includes cats.

The project became a reality when TopBreed and the UPMBT reached out to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs in early December and volunteered to help out UP Diliman’s Emotional Support Animals (ESA) Program. The program, which was launched in 2019 by then UPD Chancellor Michael Tan, provides psychosocial support for students and university staff that may experience stress, depression or anxiety. The program manages, trains and utilizes campus animals to render emotional and therapeutic support to those who need them.

“The University recognizes the ability of animals to help people destress. Therapy dogs are already being tapped in universities abroad to help students deal with academic stress. But even the ESA’s were not spared from the hardships of the pandemic,” said UP Diliman Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs Dr. Aleli Bawagan. “We appreciate the efforts of Top Breed to vaccinate and deworm UPD's emotional support dogs and donate dog food. We look forward to more collaborations with them in the future.”

Universal Robina Corporation’s Agro-Industrial Group (URC-AIG) managing director Vincent Henry Go meanwhile said “TopBreed is thrilled to take part in the UP Doggo Day. We are very happy to be given a chance to express our brand’s mission of providing top care to pets specially to these dogs who have provided comfort and emotional support to those in need. We would like to commend UP for coming up with this brilliant program that benefits both animals and humans alike. We salute the University for this endeavor and for taking good care of our fur friends, the emotional support dogs.”

Is Sharon Dacera becoming like the spitting image of Thelma Chiong?

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The wokes are now crucifying Sharon Dacera, mother of deceased FA Christine Dacera, branding her as "Thelma Chiong 2.0"

They also called Mrs. Dacera an "EJK enabler" because she sought the help of President Duterte in her quest for justice.

Sorry but I need to get this off my chest.

History keeps repeating itself. We never learn.

It always started with the police needing a nice, fresh reputation. It always backfired, always put innocent lives as fall guy.

I hate to say this but she’s definitely turning out to be like Thelma Chiong. God forbid. Sharon Dacera has the same vibe.

She literally cant accept her daughter’s death and all she can do is to place the blame to someone to save face.

Sa mga naku-curious sa Thelma Chiong trend, y'all should watch GIVE UP TOMORROW documentary. It's available in YouTube.

It is so hard to watch if you have anxiety.

I know na they're grieving because of Tin's death and I am sending my deepest condolences.

But the mom has something that is really off. (Telling Christine's friend "edi wow" ++ fake crying in front of media ++ calling her daughter "sacrificial lamb").

I feel bad for Christine though. Her life is now under scrutiny. Her death may become another humiliating proof that the Philippines has the worst investigators....and our police force are really not just "trigger-happy" but also "solved" agad even without evidence and testimonies.

I don't know bout y'all, but I cried & felt so much fear I never felt before for living in this country. With this crappy justice system.

Just a quick review, Thelma Chiong is the mother of the rapeslay victims, Marijoy and Jacqueline Chiong. Rumors are circulating that the siblings are alive and residing in USA while Paco Larrañaga, the so called suspect was accused of the crime he was not really guilty of. Merong mga taong nagtetestify na nakita nila yung magkapatid na buhay.

The Chiong sisters' case is the reason why some started to grow interest in law & politics. Their story uncovered decade long injustice in our country and it's only one of the many stories. It's gruesome and infuriating at the same time.

Everything was believed to be political. During the murder, Paco’s friends testified that he was in Quezon City (CCA) but the judges said their testimony is irrelevant because they are friends with the so called suspect.

SEE HOW DIRTY OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IS BEFORE? EVEN NOW.

Di ba may movie din to? Si Meg Imperial at Donnalyn yung magkapatid? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Grabe! The Dacera case has flipped and the mother is now the subject of the ire of the netizens even comparing her to Thelma Chiong. Why? Because she asked Tatay Digong for help?

Namatayan siya ng anak. She's grieving and depressed. No parent should bury their child. But it feels like she's enjoying the attention. Grabe! Is it just me or are you also feeling the same thing? It keeps going on inside my head "Something's off with her." IDK, I seriously thought of Thelma Chiong the moment I saw her interview with the press. Was she intentionally exaggerating her emotions as if she was "acting" a role of a grieving mother which abruptly changed after seeing a familiar face?

Also, why do I feel like she hates her daughter? Because the case is becoming a documentation of Christine's shameful existence. Her liberal ways looking like she's wild and uncontrollable.

Paint me surprised if this case picks up a Davidson Rusia along the way.

Hindi malayong maging isang Chiong case v.2 ito kung uusad ang maling persecution.

We feel like all this fiasco rooted because the PNP wanted to gain merits sa case and ofc that requires the family of the victim. Apparently, there’s still no clear victim because we're still unsure if there was foul play or more likely Christine was a victim of her own carelessness.

Hindi man lang pinatahimik yung anak niyang namatay. Ginamit pa sa pulitika. Pera pera din no. Kung meron mang may kasalanan talaga dapat talagang panagutin.. Pero if inosente naman talaga yung 11 gays e wag niyng ipagpilitan yung rape. She wants to kill more reputations. It's enough that Christine is turning into the bad girl in the story. I would suggest she just let the experts do further investigation to confirm what we are swelling in thought. Not the involvement of the PNP, not Pacquiao, not Duterte, not any politicians.

I'm sorry for your loss Mrs. Dacerna but you undoubtedly look like a reboot of Thelma Chiong.
