JDA Day 2017: The Next Game Changer – Optimizing Supply Chain and Logistics

JDA Software Group, Inc., has announced its agenda for JDA DAY 2017, its annual regional user conference in Manila. Genie Technologies Inc. (GenieTech) is the diamond sponsor of JDA DAY 2017.

Hosted this year as a Southeast Asia regional conference, at Okada in Manila, May 18, JDA DAY 2017 will bring together nearly 250 supply chain professionals to network, share best practices and hear case studies of how industry leaders are delivering impressive results using JDA's innovative solutions.

The evolving non-linear supply chain model has ushered in the digital supply chain transformation journey that is underway amongst retailers, manufacturers and logistics providers.

In line with this trend, the event this year entitled “The Next Game Changer - Optimizing Supply Chain and Logistics,” will focus on the digital strategies supply chain practitioners need to develop to respond and embrace these rapid technology advancements. The event will focus on how businesses can extend their scope of optimizing supply chain planning, and on improving warehousing and logistics processes and execution in a digital world.

JDA DAY 2017 will gather leading managers from manufacturing, production, store operations, retail planning, merchandising, category management, space & floor planning, warehouse, material handling, distribution, third-party logistics (3PL), transportation, and fleet management, among others.

JDA DAY 2017 will feature sessions by Constantin Robertz, Managing Director, Zalora (Philippines) and Jonathan Mayes, JDA Users Group Vice President and SIG Chair - Dispatcher WMS, Waitrose Ltd. (part of John Lewis Partnership).

Speakers from JDA, GenieTech, as well as other industry leaders will also meet and discuss topics on the latest issues and trends in building holistic strategies suited to the supply chain landscape in the Philippines and in Asia Pacific (APAC).

Speakers also include:
  • Vishal Dhawan, Vice President, Sales at JDA responsible for sales across the company’s footprint in Southeast Asia and India. Dhawan will discuss the topic of “The New Supply Chain Imperative: expanding beyond traditional models.”
  • Kevin Hill, Industry Strategy Director in APAC on the topic of “Orchestrating Your Supply Chain with Intelligent Fulfillment;”
  • Sanjay Prakash, Solutions Advisor in APAC on the topic of “Connected and Customer-Centric Store of the Future;”
  • Patrick Viney, Vice President, Industry Strategy, Retail in APAC on the topic of “Re-Imagining Retail Planning;”
  • Alex Yap, Senior Industry Strategy Director, and Manufacturing, on the topic of “Future of Consumer Goods Manufacturing: Innovation & Emerging Best Practices.”

    Meanwhile, leaders from Dematic, Strategic Synergy Inc., and GenieTech will also share their expertise during JDA Day, including John Boe, Director for Consulting, GenieTech, who will talk about the replenishment challenges in today’s buyers’ market.

Davao Aguilas FC All Set for Its First Home Game in Tagum, Davao Del Norte

Davao Aguilas FC is all set for its first home game for the Philippines Football League (PFL), to be held at the Davao del Norte Sports Complex on Sunday, May 14, 2017. They will be going up against JPV Marikina, which was previously part of the UFL.

The team is starting to create a following in Davao and nearby provinces; and fans were seen waiting for them when they arrived at the Davao airport last Friday.

Australian Head Coach Gary Philips says, “We are excited to be here in Davao and we are looking forward to our first home game and we hope our fans will turn up in numbers and support the team. We all are excited, we can’t wait to see you on Sunday.”

Coach Gary has previously worked in 5 different countries, including the National League in Australia. He was also previously with AFC, for Coach Education and has also handled international men’s and women’s teams.

The team’s goalkeeping coach on the other hand is Australian James Fraser, renowned World Cup goalkeeper for Australia in 1974. 
 
The team’s impressive line-up is composed of homegrown footballers, national team players and Fil-foreign players. Local players include Team Captain Jason Cordova, John Nico Macapal, Kim Versales, Junell Bautista, Philippine Azkals standout Nate Burkey, Under 22 mainstays Van Rey Diaz and Richard Talaroc of Misamis Oriental, Princeton Josue, Davao goalkeeper Roeder Ignacio, Tagum native Alexis Cabistante, Mujer Sumail, Amir Amaikurut, Kahlil Jikiri, Justin Cheng, John Philip De Los Santos, John Resty Gumban, Gerald Layumas, Jay-Ar Bucayan, Stephen Burda and Rey Franco De La Torre. 

Fil-foreign players include Brad McDonald, Fil-American right wing Omar Khan, attacker Gilmar Fernandez, midfielder Andreas Esswein, Serbian goalkeeper Marko Trkulja, striker Nikola Grubjesic, defender Milos Krstic and Dylan De Bruycker, who scored the first goal for the team in last weekend’s match against Ilocos United.
