Wazzup Pilipinas!
I can honestly say that the “Pistang Pinoy” is one event I will miss once I graduate from high school and go to college, since colleges usually don’t have these celebrations. I will miss all the laughter, the games, the fun times, and so much more. But actually I will miss the food.
Every year I get to try yummy Filipino foods, and since this is our last year we went all out. For a reasonable price we were able to hire a catering service (which happens to be my classmates’) to prepare food for us for the event. This was the first time I have experienced being catered for our Pistang Pinoy and I enjoyed it a lot. Not only did we save on energy and effort, but we were also able to feast on some very delicious food.
We had tender and smoky pork barbecue on sticks, which became one of my personal favorites.
We also had sisig, which is another favourite of mine. Although, this time I did not fully enjoy it since there was a bit of a bitter taste from the pork liver. But it was still delicious.
