Wazzup Pilipinas TV will start airing on May 2, 2015 - that's every primetime Saturday from 8 to 9 pm on IBC 13.
Watch out for our awesome line-up of guests from many types of businesses and lifestyle attractions like top and emerging restaurants, barbershops, salons; skin, dental and health care clinics, hotels, resorts and other destinations, fashionable clothing and accessories, gadgets and technology innovations, events and gatherings, prominent personalities and celebrities, plus a lot more.
Hosting the show are the witty, wacky but definitely talented trio of Ross Del Rosario (The Pambansang Blogger ng Pilipinas), Bart Abaya (The Philippine Barter King) and Coach Dave Aguila (The Common Sense Investor).
There will also be a few segment co-hosts for special features like Halal cooking courtesy of Chef Tato from the Muslim community; guest appearances from law, business and financial planning experts who will share tips and insights, and special news and events coverage from Wazzup Pilipinas field correspondents. Also watch out for Wazzup Pilipinas promos, contests and giveaways every now and then.
I think this is the first time that a blog has made it into a TV show, and I am ever so grateful to the people who believed in me. Never in my days as a blogger have I imagined or dreamed of having my own TV show bearing my blog's name. My blog was merely an outlet to express my opinions and showcase my interests. It then evolved into a medium to promote everything about the Philippines, and an opportunity to collaborate with emerging and already popular brands and organizations. It also presented several of my advocacies like tourism campaigns and noble causes.
When I got invited for radio and TV guesting, I thought it was merely an opportunity to promote the blog. It was never also planned to be co-hosting radio shows and partnering with equally great talents and visionaries like our production team who have created the essential components of the TV show from the TV jingle to the sound and video enhancements.
The logo for the Wazzup Pilipinas TV is still in the works but the overall idea is a TV version of the blog highlighting mostly lifestyle features just like how we do it in the blog, and not to forget the iconic two-thumbs up and Wazzup Pilipinas group shout.
Wazzup Pilipinas TV will always be open to any form of collaboration with interested partners and sponsors who would like to join us in this unforgettable milestone for Wazzup Pilipinas. Though many have been saying that online is the future, I believe that the collaboration with other forms of media like print, radio and TV is essential for a wider and substantial reach. More power to quad media! More power to Wazzup Pilipinas TV which will be capitalizing on all forms of media for its promotional efforts and campaigns.
To thank our previous clients and partners, we have given them the special opportunity to become part of the show for its initial episodes. The response was overwhelming that many more wishes to guest on our show.
Now that Wazzup Pilipinas TV is born, who knows what's next in line? Maybe a Wazzup Pilipinas - The Movie!
