Pay for Your McDonald's Meals with Hugs and Dance Moves

Wazzup Pilipinas!

McDonald's will be accepting hugs and dance moves as payment. That's the headline at the very popular Mashable website reporting about the upcoming promo of fastfood chain giant McDonald's. We are not really sure which country and which branches will be part of the selected outlets but we are sure hoping they will extend the promo to the Philippines.

This would be fun to watch as people will line up at all McDonald's restaurant and show intimate displays of affections or dance to the beat of their favorite dance music.

I would also try my luck and hoping my performance will pay well enough for a Big Breakfast or their biggest burger coupled with fries and sundaes.

Wouldn't you want to have the opportunity to get free meals just by doing what we Filipinos really love to do.

Most Filipinos will not be too shy to make a fool of themselves especially for freebies.

Below is an excerpt from the Mashable website.

"Randomly selected McDonald's customers will have the opportunity to pay for their meals with various tasks — such as doing a dance or calling their mom — between Feb. 2 and Feb. 14. "

The deal is outlined in a Super Bowl ad from the company which will air on Sunday but is already posted on its YouTube page.

So, for example, breakfast might cost a fist bump to a McDonald's crew member; lunch could be paid for with a call to a loved one; and dinner could go for a hug to a family member. But there will only be 100 winners at each store.

McDonald's hinted at the campaign earlier in the month, when it posted a teaser ad introducing a mysterious new way to pay at the fast food chain.

So if you're ready to show off your new dance moves or looking to score a free burger, swing by for some McNuggets within the next few weeks. The participants will be chosen "at randomized, predetermined times" between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. local time each day, according to the McDonald's website." -Mashable

This will be fun to do in the Philippines so here's a shout out to the McDonald's corporation: We want to hug and dance also in the Philippines!

Wow! The thought of seeing lots of people queuing to get the chance to show their dance moves or anything sentimental and passionate. We need these kind of promos. Really!

  3. This is really good news especially to us Filipinos who are fond of eating out due to our busy schedule, and McDonalds is one of the major fast food chain company that we go to whenever were craving for either fries or a Big Mac, it really depends on what our stomach tells us. But anyway, thinking of paying for our meals by doing something silly or outrageous, though as said on the article a lot of Filipinos wouldn’t think twice of making a fool out of themselves for a free meal, it's not debatable that there would always be conservative citizens that would choose paying for the meal instead of embarrassing themselves, myself included even. But all in all, it still depends on the task we will be assigned to do in case this limited offer occurs to us. Nice article, brief and well informative.

  5. Hands down, McDonalds! The idea is really fun and creative, overall. Hey, it's free food. Who wouldn't dance for free food? Maybe I would hesitate, but man, free food. Jokes aside, Mcdo once again prove their creativity. And let's get real, most Filipinos are confident and would do pretty much anything to entertain and, get free food. Anyways, very nice article!

  7. Mcdo has done it again! A great advertisement and a great idea for people to come and eat at their place. I hope that they can extend their promo here in the Philippines. For someone who eat most of the time in mcdo, I really think that it would be really fun to dance in front of so many people and entertain them. I think it can give you two positive and great thing, free food and smiles from the people you've entertained.

  8. Their promotions as always are uncommon and somehow weird. It maybe silly and right, you're creating a fool out of yourself but this a good strategy to get the attention of customers willing to satisfy one's hungry tummy. Especially those who has a special place for Mcdonald's.
