My Top 5 Anime Characters: Female and Male

Anime has always been a popular trend, started in Japan then spread over the world. Everyone has their own taste when it comes in picking their anime genres, art style, and specially their favorite characters.

When we watch anime, well any show really, we always have that one character who we admire, probably they resemble a certain characteristic we have, we want to have, or just plainly attracted to them.

Well, this guy is the one I salute in every series I watched so far. (*THIS ARTICLE MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*)

Let's start with the ladies~

5. Shihouin Yorouichi (Bleach)

Yorouichi is the former captain of the 2nd Division of Gotei 13 in the anime bleach. Being a captain means that she's intelligent and witty, not to mention that shes great in combat. Holding the title as 'Flash goddess', she can appear in several places and wipe out a group of army in seconds. Despite her clam and mature nature, she's quite laid-back and playful. Just imagine having her as your personal sexy bodyguard.

4. Minene Uryu (Future Diary)

 Minene is the Ninth Diary Holder in the anime Mirrai Nikki, or Future Diary. She was forced to live a brutal life in the middle east run by a religious war when her parents died. Due to that accident, she developed a hatred towards god and made a goal to wipe out the very idea of it. She was introduce as a terrorist, very intimidating, psychotic and easily excited when terrorizing others. She holds the Escape Diary which helps her find escape routes in different situations. She is also, an expert in handling explosives and a technological expert. So don't mess with her. But despite her dark side, Minene was a tough woman but deep inside vulnerable and quite fond of small children. 

3.  Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)

Akemi is a magical girl in the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She was portrayed as a shy, timid, weak, and known for her lack of confidence. She perceive herself as useless until she became friends with Madoka, another magical girl. When Madoka died, she made a contract to be a magical girl and and wish to stop Madoka from being killed. Due to her wish she can jump through timelines yet the outcome didn't change. Due to seeing her friend die over and over again, she became intelligent, athletic, distant and developed a cold personality. Even after a change of personality she stays true to her goal in saving Madoka. Having her as friend make you happy, no doubt about it.

2.  Hanji Zoe (Shingeki No Kyojin)

Hanji is a Squad Leader from the Survey Corps in the anime Shingeki no Kyojin or Attack of the Titan. The particular thing I like about her is her passionate and interest in pursuit for knowledge. She can be careless about her own safety since she more cares about the research she can obtain. She can be seen hyperactive in the anime and often misunderstood as eccentrics and having some loose screws in her head. Despite her enthusiasm for titans, she cares deeply for humanity and takes leadership seriously. I like her since she do whatever she can to know everything about things that interest her.

1.  Chiaki Nanami (Super Dangan Ronpa 2)

Nanami is the Super High-School Level Gamer. Apparently, this has no anime yet but soon it will. Believe me. Anyway, Nanami's stern when she order people yet lively when discussing games. She has some unusual habits, like dozing off while playing games and pauses to think everything what she wants to say in a conversation. She can be quite observant and analytic. The thing I like about her is quite simple. She's a gamer. I'm a gamer. And that is all you need to know.

Now for the gents~

5.  Kise Ryouta (Kuroko No Basket)

Kise is the Small Forward of Kaijo High in Kuroko no Basket. Kise is quite the opposite of me. He's carefree, outgoing, and tries to be friends with everybody. Despite his carefree personality, he's quite determine and serious when playing. Kise has an ability to copy every move he saw. Okay, I have to admit this is purely based on looks. Well, no blaming that since he's a model and a basketball player. Like who wouldn't want that as a boyfriend?

4. Ja'far (MAGI: The Labyrinth of Magic)

Ja'far is one of the Eight Generals of Sindria and the adviser of Sinbad in the anime MAGI: The Labyrinth of Magic. Ja'far was an assassin in his childhood until he met Sinbad. Ja'far is a serious person who has anger issues. When provoke he tend to show a different side of him you don't want to see. The thing I like about him despite his serious personality, he have a motherly-like feature which you would find rather cute. Another is that he's loyal from who he serve.

3.  Chihiro Fujisaki (Dangan Ronpa)

Fujisaki is the Super High-School Level Programmer. Don't let his appearance fool you. he had a meek and timid personality which was the result of his childhood when he was told to act tougher since he was a male. he secretly created an AI, Alter Ego, in order to aid the remaining surviving students.

2.  Hitachiin Brothers (Ouran High School Host Club)

Kaoru Hitachiin (left) and Hikaru Hitachiin (right) are the twins in the OHSHC. Okay I can't decided so I put them both. Well, this twins are quite mischievous and titled as 'Little Devils'. In the host club they act their 'Forbidden Brotherly Love Package' where they act twincentous for the entertainment of their female customers. With both playful and mischievous personality, Kaoru is calmer and more mature between the two while Hikaru is childishly possessive. Now take your time and pick which one would be yours.

1.  L Lawliet (Death Note)

Now for the last. L Lawliet is the detective who challenge Kira. L is quite secretive, and only communicates with the world with the help of his assistant, Watari. He is VERY intelligent though his appearance shows the exact opposite.  He tried to to be as kind as possible but seem to be quite rude and uncaring at times. Now why is he my number one? Well, for all the anime I watch he's an antagonist who serve the good side. Also, he likes sweets~ ^w^
