Anne Curtis Smith is the Newest Dyesebel of ABS-CBN

Anne Curtis Smith is Dyesebel, along with leading men Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson to star in ABS-CBN's newest "fantaserye" television series.

Dyesebel is the dream role of Anne since she was a child. She was very grateful that she was chosen by ABS-CBN inspite of the controversy she was involved in last 2013 where the famous line "I can buy you, your friend and this club". Now it seems it will be more like ""I can buy Ursula, her friends and this kingdom"

Biboy Arboleda said that on the process of choosing Dyesebel, ABS-CBN ran a marketing survey among different platforms including social media and Anne topped the list. Thus she was finally given the role of the Philippines' most popular mermaid character.


From Dyosa to Sirena, Anne as Dyesebel this 2014 will be an interesting watch on TV.

"It's another dream come true po. Sobra lang akong speechless kasi napakalaking project na 'to at mahilera sa lahat ng naging Dyesebel, I’m sure at one point lahat kayo nag-interview sa akin at ng tinanong niyo kung ano ba ‘yung dream role ko sinabi ko naman Dyesebel. So ito na 2014, a great way to start the year na makuha ko ang isang dream," Anne said.

Sam Milby will be playing the role of a "shokoy" or merman (mermaid man) named Liro while Gerald will play Fredo, the human who falls for Dyesebel.

Anne only got a confirmation that she will be playing the role just last January 8, 2014 after she returned from Canada. Then a press conference was immediately arranged that she found it too overwhelming. However, she is very thankful that the Kapamilya network continues to trust her.
