How can we beat this Corona virus or Covid-19?

Change the people running this government!...or if that's not possible, change the people running the IATF.

Without any doubt, they are clueless on how to effectively curb this pandemic. We have not flatten the curve...Not even a bit...We have never been victorious against it. 

Sorry DepEd Secretary Briones...you might as well retire permanently since, just like Spox Roque, you couldn't distinguish a win from a lost. In your case, your passing grade seems to be below negative.

There has never been any victory to celebrate since we started the quarantines...even the Manila Bay fake sands which is as fake as the supposed "advocacy" FB accounts of this fascist government.

Now they've open another opportunity for the virus to infect others. Allowing Boracay, Baguio and Bohol to open to local tourists is like an invitation to further increase the Covid-19 case. We know we need to open up the economy to save it and the people affected, but the businesses can just transition to something else for the meantime while we figure out how to defeat this veerus...or as the only plan of this administration, while waiting for the working vaccine....with emphasis on working, and not the ones under trial or observation.

There are sacrifices we have to make, and sacrificing the economy is more acceptable than sacrificing lives.

Masaya ka kapag nagtatatanim. Kapag may isang halaman ka na naman idadagdag sa iyong garden o collection ay napapangiti ka lalo na kung nagbibigay pa sila ng bulaklak o namumunga ng gulay. Nakakatangal din ng streess dahil gumagaan ang pakiramdam natin kapag napapalaki ng maayos at napapanatli nating malulusog ang mga halaman natin.

The urban gardening craze has really lift off and skyrocketed to obscene heights that even the media outfits has constantly featured it in their news to even highlight personalities that collect plants costing what ordinary citizens would never earn in a year. 

The term Plantito and Plantita has never been this popular though it has been around even before this pandemic.

But what makes you a certified plant mom or dad?

Here are the top 14 signs you're a certified Plantito or Plantita:

Certified Plantito or Plantita ka na if:

1. Paggising sa umaga, binibisita agad ang mga plants. Mas uunahin mo halaman mo kaysa magsipilyo, uminom ng coffee o kumain ng breakfast. Ganoon rin sa gabi. Sisilipin mo muna sila bago matulog at napapaginipan mo na rin sila.

2. Ngayon ay napapansin mo na ang mga halaman sa mga napapanood mong mga movies at telenovela na dati ay hindi mo Binibigyan ng importansiya. 

3. Walang pakialam sa presyo ng halaman whether mahal o mura, uso o hindi. Kahit damo o weed o nagkalat pa iyan sa probinsiya ay maganda pa rin sa paningin nila. Kapag may nakitang halaman na nagustuhan ay hindi makatulog hanggat hindi nagkakaroon.

4. Kahit wala ng space sa bahay ay bili, hingi, at propagate pa rin ng halaman ng walang katapusan. Gagawa ka pa ng bakod o harang, trellis para gapangan, etc., kahit nagmukhang gubat na ang harapan, likuran at loob ng bahay.

5. Halos halaman na ang laman ng photo gallery ng phone. Pati mga posts sa social media ay puro halaman. Marami ring selfies with the plants.

6. Over protective sa halaman. Parang anak na ang turing. Iniiwas sa mga batang labasan na makululit na naglalaro at nag eespadahan. Papunta pa lang yung pusa, aso manok ay binubugaw na. 7. Tambay na online to research about plants. Lahat ng websites about urban gardening ay napuntahan na yata. Gamit na gamit si Google at YouTube for demos and tutorials about planting. Nag join na sa halos lahat ng group about plants para matuto ng mas marami about plant care at alamin na rin ang mga tanim ng iba para magaya. 

8. Nagiging matanglawin. Kapag nasa loob ng sasakyan ay hindi mapakali. Tingin ng tingin sa mga halamang nadadaanan both left and right. Tumitingin ka sa gilid-gilid ng daan kung may mahaharbat ka.  Kapag pupunta sa isang bahay pa linga linga ka sa bakuran kung may pwedeng mahingi.

9. Hands-on sa pagtatanim. Hindi inaasa sa housemaid o hardinero ang pag-aalaga mula pagtatanim ng seeds, pag-repot, pagdidilig, paglalagay ng abono, pag-trim at pag-ani (kung gulay o prutas ang tanim). 

10. Napipilitang magsinungaling o pagsasabi ng white lies .... na kahit mahal mong binili.. sinasabi mong "mura lang" o  "bigay lang" kapag tinatanong ka kung magkano.

11. Doing lots of experiments.  After learning about the kind and type of plants and their needs, gumagawa ka na rin ng sarili.mong version. Yung nakakagawa ka ng DIY or recycled pot, fertilizers from compost or manure, pesticides from chili and garlic, etc. 

12. Learned to value nature. Affected sa poaching at paninira ng gubat. May respeto na sa kapaligiran lalo na sa lahat ng players sa ecosystem.

13. Kinakausap na ang mga plants. At take note na iidentify mo na rin names nila....o binigyan mo pa sila ng sariling nicknames.

14. Miss mo na sila kapag na-assign ka sa malayong lugar na Hindi pwedeng uwian. Tawag ka ng tawag sa misis o mga anak mo para huwag kalimutang diligan at kunan ng picture para makita mo progress ng paglaki nila.

Indeed, ngayong panahong maraming naaaliw sa paghahalaman ay halos Hindi na tayo magkandaugaga sa ating nagiging bisyo. Tandaan lamang na ang tunay na Plantito/Plantita ay talagang pinag-aaralan rin ang tamang pag-aalaga ng kanyang mga halaman at minamahal sila ng buong puso at hindi lang dahil nakikisabay sa trend o fad.

Remember that plants are living things as well. There were some research that claims they do feel and appreciate the TLC of their owners. Just like our beloved pets, they value the affection we give them.

FullPostAsia accredited by Netflix to create, deliver IMF packages

Netflix, the premiere online video streaming service, has recently approved FullPostAsia, Inc. (FPA), a local post production company with over 20 years of combined creative and technical experience, to create and deliver Interoperable Master Format or IMF packages.

FullPostAsia has thus become one of the key post prod facilities in the Philippines to secure this approval from the American media services provider and production company.

Netflix, which allows members to watch films and shows without commercials on an internet-connected device, has recently benefited from improved business operations during the quarantine period.

“There was a month-long training period for accreditation that involved both technical and hands-on examinations,” FullPostAsia CEO and President John Anthony L. Wong recounted. After its accreditation, FPA has now become a “fulfillment partner” of Netflix.

IMF is the mastering format being utilized by the subscription-based streaming service.

This file format is more robust because of its technical specifications. The standard encoding setting for each IMF package is four times that of a Digital Cinema Package (DCP). It can also handle both HDR and SDR Color reproduction. Currently, the format supports HD and Ultra HD 4K resolutions at varying frame rates. It supports all major audio formats ranging from the usual Stereo mix to the 5.1 and 7.1 norm, up to the de facto Dolby Atmos format. The componentized media format gives the opportunity for producers to future proof their content.

Wong stressed that preparing an IMF package is not a simple point-and-click procedure. “It requires a detailed naming convention and a thorough understanding of the standard audio and video specifications,” he added.

FullPostAsia is currently working on two local titles, one of which is “Hayop Ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story,” the Philippines' first fully animated film on Netflix set to premiere on October 29, 2020.

The Avid Liongoren film, set in a world populated by anthropomorphic animals, has a voice ensemble that includes Angelica Panganiban, Robin Padilla, Sam Milby, Empoy Marquez, Piolo Pascual, Arci Muñoz, Eugene Domingo, Yeng Constantino, Moira dela Torre, and Bb. Joyce Bernal.
