FDCP's Call for Documentary Projects for International Film Lab Extended

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Following its open call for long feature fiction films, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has extended its deadline for submission of Filipino documentary projects for the First Cut Lab Docs to March 31, 2019.

Along with its feature project counterpart, the First Cut Lab Docs is an international project and editing lab focusing on developing and elevating Filipino documentaries. Finalists and grantees of SineSaysay Documentary Lab and Showcase will participate and will get the chance to discuss their ongoing projects with selected experts during working sessions from April 11 to 17.

Two (2) Filipino creative documentary projects in post-production stage that merge artistic ambition and high visual quality will be selected by FDCP and will undergo an intensive post-production workshop.

International industry professionals will mentor the selected filmmakers and provide insightful feedback to help Lab participants produce the best version of their output. These include film editor, trainer, director, and festival programmer Benjamin Mirguet and film editor and DART film founder Natasa Damnjanovic.
