Bassilyo Launches Debut EP "Klasik" Under MCA Music

You may be familiar with the song "Lord Patawad" which music video has made it to the top 3 trending videos in YouTube with over 12 million views already. It's one of the songs of Bassilyo released under MCA Music. This song has been very popular that you may hear some kids singing and rapping along with the radio airplay.

Lordivino "Deyb" Ignacio aka Bassilyo, one of the leading rappers in the Philippines and also a part of rap group Crazy as Pinoy, has recently launched his new album "Klasik" at the R Bistro  located at the 2nd Floor of Victoria Tower in Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Members of the media were there including representatives from the top three TV networks ABS-CBN, GMA 7 and TV 5.

Bassilyo's debut EP also include tracks like "Walang Kuwentang Kanta", Wow", "Matira Matibay", "Prinsesa Ko", "Ayoko Nang Umawit", "Pamagat", "Baliwan" whic also features artists Crazy Family, Badboys, Crazy Mix, Crispin, Elbiz, Buhawi, G Clown, . Flict G. Kakin and Lirico.

Repertory Philippines Presents August: Osage County as Second Offering for 2014

Repertory Philippines proudly announces their second offering for the season of 2014 with August: Osage County - the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama written by Tracy Letts. The play dates are from February 21 - March 16, 2014 and will be held at the Onstage of Greenbelt 1 cinema in Makati.

If you think the title is familiar, it is because there is a Hollywood movie version being shown at other countries already and soon here in the Philippines.

August: Osage County is all about the Weston family who have the uncanny ability of making each other's lives absolutely miserable. Set on the plains of modern day, middle-class Oklahoma amidst the mysterious disappearance of the household patriarch. Witness the meltdown of the family members because of several personal difficulties that they are unable to resolve.

The play has a powerhouse cast composed of Baby Barredo, Pinky Amador, Tami Monsod, Liesl Batucan, Leo Rialp, Kenneth Moraleda, Shiela Francisco, Thea Gloria, Richard Cunanan, Hans Eckstein, Noel Rayos, Angeli Bayani, Naths Everett, and Arnel Carreon.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) presented the National Artist for sculpture, Dr. Abdulmari Asia-Ima designed Sarimanok medal to fifty-nine (59) recipients last night, February 2 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila.

The 6th Ani ng Dangal or “Harvest of Honors” is an annual affair in the Philippines celebrated as a highlight of the Philippine Arts Festival - a tradition of recognizing Filipino excellence in the arts. It is a state recognition from by the NCCA under the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines given to natural-born Filipino artists and groups that have reaped top honors in international events covering the Seven (7) Art Disciplines namely Architecture and Allied Arts, Cinema, Dance, Dramatic Arts, Literary Arts, Music, Visual Arts, and Multi-Disciplinary Arts.

The 6th Ani ng Dangal featured the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga together with some of the recipients such as Director Brillantes Mendoza, Eugene Domingo, Alessandra De Rossi, Eddie Garcia, Jed Madela, The Halili-Cruz School of Ballet, Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir, Candice Adea,  Bayanihan, Philippine All Stars, Pupil, Joel Torre, and Nora Aunor.
