Panelo: Homicide Lang, Crime of Pemberton Against Laude

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Homicide "lang"

This the type of people in the seats of power in our country.

If you can't fathom how EJKs could be so many that we stopped counting them, this is the value of a Filipino life for this government: "homicide lang."

You don't matter.

“Si Presidente Aquino may pinardon na Amerikano. At alam mo ‘yung crime niya? Drugs. Oh ‘eto nga homicide lang eh.”

- Salvador Panelo, Sept. 9, 2020

See?? Gaano ka walang halaga sakanila ang pagkamatay ng isang filipino trans woman??

PS, MURDER dapat yun hindi "homicide lang!!"

SMH at the audacity to justify when Panelo couldn't even get his facts straight — Burton is a British national who was convicted in 1992 for attempting to smuggle drugs in the Philippines and was only given conditional pardon in 2011

Meanwhile, here's the current administration giving an absolute pardon to Pemberton, an American soldier, for killing a Filipino transgender after serving jail time for 4 years only? and the way he downplayed the gravity of the crime by saying "homicide lang"? WTF!

You know what's worse than getting murdered?

Getting murdered THEN having to beg for justice but receiving remarks like "shit happens" and "homicide lang" from the lips of the very people who swore to serve and protect you.

The fact that this MF had the audacity to belittle homicide is beyond disgusting.

Sa bagay, homicide nga ang method nila sa drug issues ng bansa which should be considered as a mental illness, not as a taboo.

So Panelo is saying that committing the act of homicide is NOTHING compared to doing drugs? That it’s better to brutally murder someone than to do drugs?

The Philippines is doomed!

Bella Poarch sends out the not-so-friendly message "Baoninam" to Korean bashers

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"A reminder to all of you.

Pangasinan is the name of the province which means "a place of salt-making."
Pangasinense are the people.
Pangasinan is their language.

Pangalatok is an offensive word for us. It means Pangasinan na may katok (baliw or crazy). Stop using that word.

Moreover, baoninam means tangina."

Bella Poarch is trending again with her tweet of "Baoninam" which means "P*ki ng Ina mo" in Pangasinan. Apparently she hails from the Pangasinan province.

Im Pangasinan “Baoninam” is an amalgam word that if you disect will reveal

“Bao” (vagina)
“nen” (of)
“inam” (your mother)
= Bao+nen+inam -> “Baoninam”
Which equates to “Putanginamo” or “Puke ng ina mo”

"Masantos ya kabwasan ed sikayon amin!" I'm so glad and thankful for the people who educate our fellow Filipinos about Pangasinan. Thank you so much. "Inar-aro ta kayon amin."

From what I know, Pangalatok is the historical name of the language. It's the Ilocano who gave it that meaning not too long ago: "Pangasinan na may katok sa ulo." It'd be sad if they are bullied into dropping an authentic name just because of another group's racial remark.

Also, I think Pangasinan as language is applicable term in English, whereas Pangasinense is based on Hispanic or Filipino term.

"Pangasinan or Pangasinese is spoken by about 1.5 million people mainly in the province of Pangasinan."

An excerpt from Eat Bulaga's Miss Millennial with Miss Pangasinan clarifying that Pangasinan refers to three things: the land, the language and the people.

It is a bit confusing if Pangasinan can also be used to refer to the people of Pangasinan. So Pangasinan is the name, the people, and the language of the province?

Since Pangasinan is trending. Allow me to invite everyone to come visit & spend time in Pangasinan. Splurge with what the province can offer.

Pangasinan is one of the tourist-magnet destinations in the Philippines. It is known for its several popular tourism spots, like the Hundred Islands and the Bolinao Falls.

Check out the Hideaway Sea & Beach Resort on the above photo

Busay Falls located at Bani, Pangasinan

Here are some of the beaches as posted by @TheWaitingShed who only had a month to do it, and she can only travel during weekends. She just missed to visit Agno and Eguia because she developed a horrible ear infection to the point that she was partially deaf in one ear. She aims to finish what she started soon enough.

I must say the province of #Pangasinan is really underrated. But every election period, no one forgets the province. Tsk tsk tsk.

Atencio’s JHI extends support to the Maroons for UAAP Season 83 & 84

Wazzup Pilipinas!

commits to foreign training, provides data analytics technology to team

The University of the Philippines Men’s Basketball Team (UPMBT) will still have Januarius Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiary STATS Performance Apparel among its top supporters for the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Seasons 83 and 84.

JHI Chairman and chief executive officer JJ Atencio has been bankrolling the UPMBT’s training camps in Las Vegas, Serbia and Tokyo in 2017, 2018 and 2019, respectively. This year the COVID-19 pandemic has ruled out overseas trips for the Fighting Maroons but Atencio and company are still including advanced training as part of their plan.

“Our journey with the UPMBT started three years ago, when, acting on a strong gut feeling, we decided to be major sponsors, despite the team’s just coming out of a lackluster season, the absence of significant community support, and my not even being a UP alumnus. We wanted to be part of the dream and help create something that eventually we could all be proud of.  Fast forward to today, it’s a completely different situation, isn’t it?” asked Atencio.

Atencio is a graduate of UP’s Katipunan rival, Ateneo de Manila University, but believes he has a mission with the Fighting Maroons and it is not yet done.

“While the team has accomplished a lot these past years, the work isn’t finished yet. That dream continues to unfold. Success is a process after all, and we continue to be motivated and encouraged to keep on supporting and being part of this journey - in good times and bad. We think that the next two years will be really good for the team,” said Atencio, who is now taking up his master’s degree in UP.

Atencio said he believes that foreign training is a game changer that can quickly produce the desired results.  “We’ve seen it. After three straight years of training abroad, we placed fifth the first year, second in the second year, and third after last year’s training. We’re still committed to sending the team for training abroad in Seasons 83 and 84 as soon as it’s possible,” Atencio added.

Besides the team outfits and the commitment to send the team abroad for training, Atencio announced that JHI are providing the Maroons with data analytics technology. “What’s also exciting for us starting this year is analytics. That’s one of the things we are working on with the team and that’s what we’re looking forward to -- how it would help them,” Atencio bared.

Present in the memorandum of agreement signing were Atencio, UPMBT head coach Bo Perasol, team manager Atty. Agaton Uvero, nowheretogobutUP Foundation founder Renan Dalisay, JHI chief operating officer Marcy Venezuela, and STATS chief executive officer Edrin Panganiban.

“We are beyond grateful for having JJ [Atencio] and JHI in the team for the past three years and a couple more. Despite the COVID-19 situation, he still chose to stay on. He is as determined as we are to see everything through. More than the financial aspect of things, the moral support they have given us from the start is priceless. JJ is like a father or a brother to the players and us coaches. His kindness and faith in the team truly inspires us,” said Bo Perasol.

For his part, UP Fighting Maroons team manager Atty. Agaton Uvero stressed how the team struggled in the past and how supporters like Atencio and STATS help to keep them on track for years to come.

“Sir JJ Atencio was one of the first to give hope to our program. A believer in the value of education, he graciously sponsored the team’s first overseas training when all we had to show was a promise to do our best. Four years after, we now have a sustainable program and a team that is going to be competitive for many years to come. We will always be grateful for his support,” Uvero said.
