5 Qualities That Make a Team #Awesome

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Conflicts happen in teams, and would be frequent in one that lacks harmony.
Here are 5 qualities that make an #awesome team. Learn from the TV production staff and crew who worked behind the scenes of Tanikala presents It’s UnPair, a TV Special starring Alwyn Uytingco, Kat Galang, and Max Lopez, airing on Maundy Thursday, March 29, 5:30 p.m. at GMA.

Encourages one another
The production team of It’s UnPair highlights a job well done by a staff or crew. They express it verbally, through a simple handshake, or through taps in the back. This creates an encouraging environment making work a delight and not a burden.
Proverbs 16:24 NIV says, “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

Punctual
In all their activities, the production team always plans their schedule and sticks to it. Not only because they have a deadline to beat but also because they respect each other’s personal time.

As what the article The Importance of being on Time in the website named Little Things Matter (http://www.littlethingsmatter.com/blog/2010/01/21/the-importance-of-being-on-time/) says, being on time “shows that you have respect for other people and that you care as much about their time as your own.”

Have a sense of ownership
Like how the Bible puts it, each member of the team may act as the hand, the foot, the eye, or the nose, and no one is less or more important. All are valuable. All belong to “one body” (1 Corinthians 12:12-31).
Everyone in the set of It’s Unpair knows this truth by heart, respecting every person and task. They also take ownership of their duties, resulting to a harmonious working relationship with each other.

Undivided
The partnership between the two directors of It’s Unpair, Neil Barnes and Xandrino Mangunay represents the unity of the whole production team. Everyone is helping each other with humility and joy.
Psalm 133:1 NIV says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”

Faithful
And the most important quality of an #awesome team is its desire to honor God above all.

They know Who gave their talents and skills. They are not burdened with the idea of working and getting the job done because they are doing it to honor God and not men (Colossians 3:23).

These qualities are exemplified by the crew and the actors during the taping of It’s Unpair. They stand as proof that pulling off a huge task can be a success if you have a team who shares the same vision and heart.

So, are you now ready to work with your team?

Tanikala presents It’s Unpair is a TV Special based on a true story, produced by CBN Asia, written and directed by Neil Barnes and Xandrino Mangunay, featuring Alwyn Uytingco, Kat Galang, and Max Lopez. Watch it this coming Good Friday, March 29, 5:30 p.m., at GMA.

Sanya Lopez, Scarred by Abusive Relationships

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Kapuso Actress Sanya Lopez as Teresa Pastera was left scarred by abusive relationships when she was young and turned out to be an abuser when she grew up.

More popularly known for her role as Hara Danaya in GMA’s 2016 remake of Encantadia, Sanya takes on another challenging role in Pilat as Teresa Pastera.

The made-for-TV movie, Pilat, is a true-to-life story of Teresa, whose mother died at the age of 3. When her father worked abroad when she was young, Teresa was left in the care of her abusive stepmother and the rest of her stepfamily. Verbal, physical, and sexual abuse were the scars of Teresa’s past making her violent and sexually involved with every gender when she grew up.

“The first time I read the script, I cried when I saw what Teresa went through. I accepted the role because her story of transformation, from being abused to being an abuser to learning how to rise up after, inspired me,” Sanya shared in vernacular.

Sanya shared what she learned from playing the role of Teresa. “It is my first time to portray a role of someone who went through a really tough life. Yet, I am inspired at how she found the courage to still hope and believe in God despite what happened to her,” she said in Filipino.

Together in the TV Special with Sanya Lopez is actor Pancho Magno portraying the role of Glenn, Teresa’s husband. Pilat is written and directed by Honeylet Adajar-Velves and Paula Mae Villanueva and produced by CBN Asia.

Watch Tanikala presents Pilat on March 30, Good Friday, 5:30 p.m. at GMA.
