Wazzup Pilipinas Wins Award for Outstanding Customer Service for Online Community Blog Site

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Proud to have been seated with celebrity co-awardees Vina Morales and Karen Bordador at the earlier awarding ceremonies where Wazzup Pilipinas was one of the awardees being recognized for its Outstanding Customer Service for a Community Blog Site.

After a media coverage at a women entrepreneurs conference, and two different restaurants located separately in Manila and Mandaluyong, the last stop of our team was at the Rembrandt Hotel in Tomas Morato QC for another momentous and memorable event for Wazzup Pilipinas.

Thank you to Vina and Karen for the interview and for the iconic "WazzupPilipinas" shout. Your Pambansang Blogger ng Pilipinas will be showing this on our TV show come May - so please watch out for it.

I was also given the privilege to give the Closing Remarks to end the evening with a blast thanks to the support from my "entourage" composed of the wacky Direk Bam otherwise known as Himlay Payapa, for stepping up on stage first to warm up the audience for my speech (hahaha for your Gancho moves), the Philippine Barter King Bart Abaya for keeping awake even after a whole day of shooting, and the brilliant Direk Christopher Lee Angeles for his superb video angles and impromptu scripts.

Wazzup Pilipinas: A Phenomenal Success (Awarding Ceremonies Closing Remarks Speech)

Wazzup Pilipinas!

This will be my speech for the Closing Remarks for tonight's awarding ceremonies which will be held at Hotel Rembrandt in Tomas Morato Avenue Extension of Quezon City.

I only wrote it last night so it's really what's on the top of my mind. It's not hifalutin as what most people would expect from a speech. I made as simple as possible but as meaningful as can be. After all, we are a simple blog site that grew into more than what it could possibly be  thanks to the many supporters who stood by our side and kept patting us on the back encouraging us that no matter how controversial or challenging the path less travelled.

We are still trekking the path that lead towards the most righteous destination. A destination that would remain endless - no end of the road for us - since life should be a continuous travel that should be filled with fun and fervor. Life should be what we want it to be and not what others expect it to be.

Many have said we are so stubborn to listen. But imagine what would have happened if we did. We would have not been at this particular point in our lives. We would have been just one of the guys trying to blend in. What we did was to stand out from the crowd. We created our own branding. We made our site the Pambansang Blog ng Pilipinas - unminding the hits, views, rankings, etc., - We did not concerned ourselves of the numbers because it does not really translate to what we really want to achieve - A legacy to be remembered by all Filipinos.

Lamudi, EasyTaxi and foodpanda Hold Secret Dining Society Event

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Three of the biggest Internet companies in the Philippines held a secret dining society for residents in Makati last March 26, 2015. The event was a roaring success, and proved to be an initiative that the teams will continue in the country.

The event took place at one of Lamudi’s trusted client’s developments - The Beacon Makati, and was hosted in the SkyLounge, which is at the 47th floor of the condominium. Views of the Makati Skyline, Manila Skyline and Laguna Bay provided a stunning backdrop to the exclusive affair.

The three companies held a competition over Facebook during the beginning of March, to allow people to win a seat in the Secret Dining Society. Private vehicles from Easy Taxi’s Easy Plus+ service were used transport the guests from a designated pick up point to the venue.

Daniel Torres, Managing Director of Easy Taxi in the Philippines said “We wanted everyone to have a great night, and take away the burden of traveling to and from the location for the guests. We organised pick up locations in well-known places, and coordinated closely with our drivers and the guests in ensuring everyone got a ride to the venue.”

The evening was opened by Lamudi Managing Director Jacqueline van den Ende, who commented that: “We are so glad that the event was a huge success, it was great to see everyone enjoy themselves and mingle with the other competition winners.”
