Black Sands Matter: "Wash In, Not Wash Out," DENR's Antiporda Cries Fake News

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"DENR Undersecretary Benny Antiporda says no white sand along Manila Bay has been washed out. Instead black sand from the sea was washed in."

Waaaahhh! Brilliant! Bravo...very smart! At least now we know, that the black sands by nature in Manila Bay is not insecure of dolomite. Black sand wants to tell the world, the universe rather that it is confidently beautiful with a heart.

So kasalanan pa pala ng black sand? Anak ng Teteng, mga best and brightest talaga yan.

When someone is trying to justify stupidity, "WASH IN" is now the term.

Does the “wash in” make it better? Wow, ang critical thinking skills talaga ng mga officials natin, amazing!

No amount of explanation can cover the waste of millions and destruction/ defacement of a mountain for the sake of money.

Comedy with out par!  This makes my day!  Ha, ha, ha!  Sir Antipords, if that is the case, right from the very beginning, there never was a use for the and white sanding of Manila Bay!  Ang galing mo rin!

Idiot! Are you still telling us that with this scenario, your project is successful?

You recall all those movies where governments mock and fail to listen to the warnings of scientists ....and then calamities start to happen?

Now we're in one.

AND NOW, FOR OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION.

Seriously, it doesn't matter whether the black sands were washed in or the white sands or dolomites were washed out. What is clear to us is, your project is a failure. And you can not just accept the fact that you wasted so much taxpayers' money.

Whatever, bottomline, nawala na yung pinagmamalaki ninyong aesthetic o cosmetic improvement which costed and wasted a huge sum of money.. Nature proved you wrong.

Whichever it was... it is apparently a costly , unnecessary and unsustainable intervention. Don't forget wrongly-timed.

The Environment Undersecretary also said experts from UP had “no right” to criticize the Manila Bay makeover project, berating them for allegedly receiving millions in consultation fees. "Bayaran kayo!" he accentuates! Lol!

Kaban ng bayan ginamit niya sa walang kwentang dolomite at taumbayan ang nagpapasweldo sa kanila kaya silang nasa gobyerno ang BAYARAN at hindi ang mga kritiko na nagsasabi lang ng totoo.

The former owner of Remate tabloid and former President of the National Press Club lambasted Sofia Andres for her "rude behavior" in 2018. From Sofia Andres to UP experts, What an improvement!

Reply of UP kong mahal here:

"...scientific advice and technical inputs are free (from UP) but funds are needed for, "conducting research or laboratory experiments so as to come up with science-based answers or to develop local capabilities."

The Undersecretary's words reflects on how rabid and stubborn DDS fanatics can be even if facts and nature itself is against them.

His position in the DENR is an insult to all career scientists and environmentalists who have worked their asses off in the agency for years. Please send him back to the entertainment industry where that brand of marketing/PR may be tolerated, if not acceptable.

Why is an ass-kissing journalist heading up a science-centric department? Is this the best we can do? A parrot?

DPWH was able to realign their budget to.other projects, it can also be done for this....and SC never ordered to put dolomite or any white sand beach project. The order was to save by cleaning Manila Bay, not to cover the imperfections. You treat your skin disease, not put makeup to hide it.

Ang order ng supreme court ay rehabilitation not reclamation.

To rebutt his statement, why don't we see it for ourselves. The dolomite has eroded more than a foot high for now. Evidence of erosion can be seen by difference in elevation between black and dolomite sand. If indeed it was covered by black sand, elevation would increase not decrease by more than a foot. What would remain after lots of rains and storms of the Ph 350 million dolomites?

The media should ask the DENR if they still think that climate change is real. So we'll know if the DENR is totally fucked up or just a little fucked up.

I think it’s safe to say that whoever are promoters and implementors of this project are either stupid, very rich now or both.

#BoycottLizaSoberano is trending because she joined a Gabriela Forum

Wazzup Pilipinas!

#BoycottLizaSoberano is trending because we can never be as perfect as her.

What can I say? Some can't comprehend what she was trying to say. So they started this stupid trend. Are these men with masculinity so fragile they get so MAD over facts?

The people who started the hashtag are men who are misogynistic and incels.

Men, when are you going to decide to stop breathing? You're taking too much oxygen - you're wasting it.

Liza Soberano said statements about women's rights. She spoke about societal issues faced by women.

She condemns the macho-fascist, patriarchal culture, and is fighting for women’s rights.

Now sexist, fascist trolls are saying to #BoycottLizaSoberano.

HAHAHAHA so Liza spoke on a webinar by Gabriela, an organization wrongly red-tagged to be an NPA front. Now, the DDS are alleging her to be a CPP-NPA recruit/supporter and started the #BoycottLizaSoberano which is now trending for all the wrong reasons if you base it from a DDS' point of view.

You want to boycott her because you think that GABRIELA Youth is front of the CPP NPA? For what? For speaking her mind? For saying no to rape jokes, misogyny?

So gusto niyo maganda lang si Liza ganern? Di siya pwedeng maging mulat, gamitin ang influence niya to speak up for people's rights?

The clownery of  a misguided fandom from the deepest ends. People will really say & do anything just to take a good woman down. Just say you hate empowered women and go

This hashtag is hilarious!  And the fans and KPop stans are defending her with videos!  Honestly, these Kpop stans are my new favorite people!

If speaking about the truth will make you less of a person and more of a terrorist? That's a f*cking bullsh*t. Imagine trending this #BoycottLizaSoberano just because she wants equality.

People these days seem only willing to let others have an opinion as long as it agrees with theirs. Oh yeah the classic mental regression of the masses.

Grow up! Leave the girl alone and respect whatever she has to say. Whatever others have to say.

This is an example with everything that's wrong with the Philippines, or to be specific, a significant number of misinformed Filipinos.

#BoycottLizaSoberano is one of the reasons I never support Twitter's cancel culture.

Calling all normal well-adjusted human beings to spam #ProtectLizaSoberano to drown the trolls with their stupid trend #BoycottLizaSoberano

Imma leave this here for brain cells.

How to become the next top social media influencer

Wazzup Pilipinas!

How do we become effective influencers? Even the interests about the most sensationalized and highly funded with PR campaigns personalities do experience a slow down in their online prominence especially when there's fresh faces or more controversial issues. We can't forever depend on our charm or our PR team to forever keep us trending on social or mainstream media.

Though, we could start out good, try our best to sustain the momentum, and hope we continue to be iconic eventhough there are a lot of equally interesting eyecandies or eyesores out there.

Here's just some tips I gathered from the Internet, and I do believe they are reliable enough for us to follow:

Capture attention immediately. With content that surprises and intrigues early on, brands have the opportunity to plunge viewers straight into the story, getting them to stop and engage instead of skipping.

Be truly helpful. To stand out in a sea of ads, brands might want to consider creating helpful content that meets these new consumer needs. If you can teach and inspire audiences, they won’t just watch — they’ll become loyal, long-term advocates of your brand.

Relate, relate, relate. Being relevant to people’s personal interests is perhaps the most important thing. Relating to their passions is more important than whether content features famous actors or has high production quality. When you can frame your brand in the context of things people care about, it drives results.

Collaborating with creators. It is a high-impact way to reach engaged audiences, where you can also reach customers by serving ads alongside the creators' channel.

Encourage action. Strong creative that has an enticing call to action and makes it easy to take the next step.

Embrace your shortcomings. We're not perfect so acknowledging and accepting our weaknesses could prove to be more beneficial than denying our faults. People do appreciate humility. One of the best example is Harry Roque who posted and captioned his own memes. Kim Chiu who listened to how she should make use of all the "Bawal Lumabas" highlighting her "lutang" moments to come out with a celebrated novelty song, and many more.

Whatever your strategy is, it's all about branding and relationship. You either have to stand out among the rest, or have a great network of supporters and followers that will boost your online presence. Naturally, it's better if you have both.

Most of the time, your fans or bashers contribute to your fame or infamy. Those memes created about a most hated government official could turn favorable for him especially if he jumps into the bandwagon to laugh at himself too...instead of ranting against his bashers, he plays with them.

But still, people often get bored with the same concepts and personalities if you do not innovate and variate from the norm or your usual antics. You also have to evolve with the times.

There's Mary Grace Escober who went viral and immediately got 100k subscribers overnight after celebrating her 2 subscribers on YouTube as posted on social media. It only proves we could make use of these platforms to uplift anybody since we do join bandwagons and our hearts appreciate even the littlest show of dedication towards our passion. There may be times when we use this power irresponsibly to break down others, but here's to always hoping we do more good even for those we detest.
