Pilyo Cheesecake Soufllés in Iconic All-Time Favorite Bibingka Flavor

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I don't know any Filipino who can resist eating our iconic all-time favorite "bibingka"  or rice cake that is often seen when the holiday season is around. Though there are some street food stalls and restaurants that still cook them even after Christmas, they are still a rare find making them rare treats for those craving of these delicious rice cakes.

Now, there's an alternative to having the traditional "bibingka" because a couple originally based in Australia has conceptualized the Cheesecake Soufllés in Bibingka flavor! This means Christmas everyday and would also satisfy your craving for cheesecake as well!

We met with the people behind Pilyo Cheesecake Soufllés accidentally through an event held at their restaurant, and after several months we were actually aiming to reunite with them to feature their place. However, they were in the process of re-conceptualizing their business, but they offered instead another one they were currently doing home-based. They were referring to Pilyo which offers Cheesecake Soufllés of different varieties, and among them is the bibingka-flavored!
"We put the cheek in Grandma Filo's food using a playful approach reflective of Australian culture whilst paying tribute to traditional flavours. So come and shout “wala 'yan sa lola ko!" (that's nothing like my grandmother's!)."
My luck that bibingka happens to be an all-time favorite of mine. I don;t need to wait for Christmas for I can eat bibingka everyday. Still, it is very much appreciated that Pilyo has taken "bibingka" to the next level...and that level is delish all the way!

Their Cheesecake Soufllés are available in six pieces per box and could be pick-up at two meet-up locations: Urdaneta, Makati or Greenhills, San Juan. Please check their Facebook page for the exact address, as I'm sure they are very much open to meet-up with you anywhere near those locations too.

I picked my box of Cheesecake Soufllés in Bibingka flavor at their Urdaneta Village meet-up location, and was thrilled to see Chrissie Castillo again. She and her husband Inigo are currently in Manila fresh from Sydney, Australia. They use Aussie techniques to enhance the traditional Filipino flavours in their cuisines and dessert options.

The box got a bit wet by the drizzle that day but no rain can stop me from getting my light, fluffy and moist bibingka cheesecake soufflés with yummy kesong puti and salted egg on top. I could  be called 101% or more "cheeky" enough now that I'm a fan of this creation.

Apparently, the Cheesecake Soufllés is a big success especially the one with Bibingka flavor. Just by looking at them makes you want to devour them immediately. It was good timing that the day they asked me to pick up the cheesecake souffles was also the birthday of my mother. So, that meant sharing the goodness of these delightful creation with loved ones as we head on over to my mothers house to celebrate.

All I am wanting right now is a repeat of these awesome treats! But I definitely do not need to wait for another celebration or the Christmas season because I could have their Bibingka-flavored cheesecake soufllés any day!

  1. I visited a Dutch cafe 7 years ago and tasted delicious sweet pastries with CBD oil there. Now you can order cbd drinks in the same place. This shows how long the culture of the CBD came about. I love these cupcakes and every time I remember it. Do you use herbal medicine in everyday life?
