Musikapella 2014: Tinig ng KahAPOn, Awitin Natin Ngayon

Join the University of the Philippines Economics Society as they celebrate the 10th anniversary of Musikapella, an annual choral competition participated by various high schools in Metro Manila, to be held at the PICC Plenary Hall from 5pm-9pm, on the 29th of November, 2014.

This year’s competition, entitled Musikapella 2014: Tinig ng KahAPOn, Awiting Natin Ngayon, will feature 12 high school choirs singing your favorite APO Hiking Society tunes such as Ewan, Blue Jeans and Doo Bi Doo.

And, to decide who will take home grand prize, the Economics Society has invited numerous highly esteemed judges from the choral industry along with APO’s very own Jim Paredes and Buboy Garovillo.

Along with its goal of promoting Philippine music and culture, Musikapella also gives opportunities to the beneficiaries of the Economics Society Scholarship Fund, to which all proceeds of this event will go.

Ticket prices are P220 (Balcony), P250 (Deluxe) and P280 (VIP).

  1. I'm really happy that they are still supporting and promoting Filipino music and culture. Through events like this, our culture will be continuously promoted to the country. We are all aware that teenagers nowadays are mostly fond of foreign music. Teens are now lacking support for OPM or Original Pinoy Music. This is really a great way for teenagers like us to not only support and promote the music of our own land, but also to enhance and improve our talents in singing. Competitions similar to this should be held more often because it'll contribute culturally. This is really helpful for the aspiring young Pinoy singers.
