Epson Offers World’s 1st 3LCD Touch-Enabled Interactive Projectors

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Epson Philippines Corporation recently unveiled the new flagship interactive model EB-595Wi, the World's 1st 3LCD, finger touch-enabled interactive projector, along with six (6) other projector models in the company’s Ultra Short Throw projector range. The Epson EB-500 series is targeted specifically at educational institutions, and is designed to enhance engagement for both teachers and students.

With the Epson EB-500 Series interactive projectors, users can just touch the screen to scroll up and down, move icons and annotate, zoom in or out, open or close files, enlarge, reduce and rotate images, and even erase images – just like a regular touchscreen device, such as smartphones and tablets.

The new projectors can deliver color brightness of up to 3300 lumens on selected models, allowing the screen to be easily viewed from anywhere in the classroom without the need to dim the lights. The new Epson projectors have a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and longer lamp life of up to 10,000 hours in ECO mode for better cost efficiency and savings.

All of the seven new projectors offer digital connectivity, including two HDMI ports, one of which supports Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) for mirroring connectivity with Android™ mobile devices. The new projectors also allow wireless projection when used with an optional LAN card and projector control (using Multi-PC projection software with a Moderator function). The Moderator function enables up to 50 devices to connect to the projector and the simultaneous display of up to four images on the screen.

Equipped with 16W built-in speakers, the EB-500 projector series has more than enough audio power to fill most classrooms. It also features advanced networking capabilities that allow users to monitor, control, and present from a remote location. There is no driver installation required for PCs and all lamps are low cost Epson lamps that can be replaced easily.

Epson’s new projectors are also equipped with Epson’s latest enhanced PC interactive software -- Easy Interactive Tools version 3.0 -- providing an intuitive user interface and enhanced interactive features.

The interactive projectors offer dual pen interaction, enabling the teacher and the student to annotate at the same time. They come with smaller pens that have the new side button with select functions, and a new on-screen projector control tool bar that allows users to power off, switch sources, zoom in and out, and turn the volume up and down. Now, there is no more need to look for the remote control device, since the projector can be controlled directly from the screen.

These projectors can also project vertically downward, enabling users to transform any table top into an engaging platform for interaction and collaboration.

All Epson ultra short throw projectors are based on superior 3-chip LCD technology giving vibrant realistic colors, high quality detail, and trusted reliability. Epson projectors also use 3LCD engines that are intrinsically equipped with the ability to produce up to 3x brighter colors than 1-chip DLP projectors.

Epson’s new range of ultra short throw projectors consists of the non-interactive EB-570, EB-580, EB-575W, EB-585W, and the interactive EB-575Wi, EB-585Wi, and EB-595Wi.
