An Event that is Worth Remembering

 Wazzup Pilipinas!

August is the month when Filipinos celebrate an event called Buwan ng Wika. In our school, it is well celebrated every year. It is like conducting a barangay fiesta inside our school. Students are allowed to bring Lutong ulam. Everyone is wearing their chosen Filipino outfit. And contests related to Buwan ng Wika is managed.

One of these contests is Pamilyang Pilipino wherein a guest will enter each and every classroom to see whether which classroom shows how hospitable Filipinos are.
Another is the Pickup Line wherein contestant, a representative of every class, will pick a word and give its Banat Line for the person at the middle. The contestant with the most convincing words will win.

Another contest that was held is the Likhang Awit. It is the contest for Junior and seniors wherein they will make their own song with relate to the theme of the month. After everyone heard each own made songs, it is funny that almost all sang different songs performed by participants. It feels like they got LSS.

A story telling was also held for the grade 7 and 8 students. Each contestant made every listener amazed with their performance. Considering that they are only grade 7 and 8, still, they managed to have entertained the listeners as well as the judges, and delivered the story well.
And lastly, Balagtasan for junior and seniors, which where I participated in. I played as a pregnant woman who is not convinced in having a relationship with the opposite sex while studying. The experience was great especially when people who have watched tell that I did a great job.

Aside from these contests, an Aerodance Competition among Seniors was also held. This is for the Nutrition Month which is supposed to be on July but due to bad weather, it is postponed. Being it postponed is an advantage for seniors since they can have longer time to practice their performance.

This competition is a much awaited contest for seniors. Seniors are determined to win in that competition, as a result, they really prepared for it.With these contests, I can already say that this event is great but what makes it best is that our batch, 6th batch, got more united as before through the games held which included all senior students.  And in addition, our class has won the 1st place in Balagtasan, Pamilyang Pilipino and Aerodance Competition

As an award, trophies were to us. These achievements were made possible not only by everyone of us in our class but also with the help of our teachers and our faith in God. That’s why when we knew that we won in various contests, we did not forget to thank people who helped us including our mighty God.
