Incumbent Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo to run against Vico Sotto as Mayor of Pasig city

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Current Pasig City Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo has filed his candidacy to run against incumbent Mayor Vico Sotto as mayor of the city in 2022.

“I am not here to criticize the current administration. I just want to offer an option doon sa mga kababayan namin” says Bernardo.

Bernardo “agrees” that Sotto’s strong social media presence and support is daunting.

Bernardo admits - unlike in 2019 when Sotto was at a disadvantage - he is now the “underdog” in Pasig’s #Halalan2022 mayoralty race.

Bernardo says he decided to run for mayor after realizing during the #COVID19 pandemic that quality of life in Pasig has not yet improved.

"What will be your edge against the incumbent Mayor Vico Sotto?"

Iyo Bernardo: "I will be a hands-on Mayor..."

Bernardo says he wants to bridge gap between rich and poor PasigueƱos through various programs, such as providing financial assistance to students, tax incentives for businesses hiring Pasig residents.

Bernardo denies involvement in alleged corruption within Pasig City govt, says critics should file cases against him if they have proof of alleged wrongdoing.

Bernardo began his political career in 1998, served as SK official and councilor, before becoming 3-term vice mayor."

Here are Pasig city Mayor Vico Sotto's message:

Good morning!

God bless the 2022 Elections!

Pasig Vice Mayor Iyo Bernardo claims he and Mayor Vico Sotto treat each other as friends, denies supposed friction between them.

However, several political observers in Pasig City note that Bernardo has been snubbing official city events where Sotto was expected to attend.

Si Vice Mayor Bernardo yung madalas magpa online raffle at auction pero bihirang magpakita kahit before the pandemic.

Lol!

Bongbong Marcos does not have an Oxford degree

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Remember when Bongbong Marcos claimed he got a degree in political science from Oxford? He didn't.

Whathe actually got was a "special diploma", which was Oxford's way of saying in effect "that guy? sure he enrolled here, but he never made it past first year"

I couldn't understand why he still won as Senator and later ran for VP. Buti na lang, natalo. Nagdemand for recount pero talo pa rin."

In April 10, 2016, BongBong Marcos lied in the VP Debate by saying that the Marcos family was not involved in the forfeiture of Marcos assets & claims for HR victims. Later, the PCGG revealed BongBong blocked the return of $42million Arelma Funds to the Gov't to be used for compensation.

Here's the link to Inquirer: PCGG: Bongbong blocked return of $40M to gov’t

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/779476/pcgg-bongbong-blocked-return-of-40m-to-govt/

Now he's running for President?

Is this how Philippine democracy works?" We let these kind of politician make a mockery of our election?
