#Trendjacking: The Art and Science of Bolstering Brand Relevance

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Trendjacking is the opportunity to capitalise and exploit a current topic with the intent to propel digital reach, with the ability to strengthen a brand's association with its core audience. It is a powerful concept that more and more brands are adopting to attract attention and generate profitable business outcomes.

Current events and milestones change, evolve, and come and go. The same can be said for the ways marketers amplify their brand strategies. With the scale of attention current events garner on social media, brands - both big and small - have begun promoting their products and services during hyped-up circumstances. Examples may include the recent advertisements related to news, such as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Other promotional and publicity stunts may also derive inspiration from politically related events, such as the death of a country's former President, or even the COVID-19 pandemic itself, along with the lifestyle changes that come along with it.

With the world shifting to a more digital age, brands have begun to seize the opportunity to promote their products and services using current events and the latest social media trends on mainstream and social media. The change in the media landscape and social media perception in the Philippines has brought several risks and opportunities for brands - such as hitting or missing the mark in promotion and advertisement. Therefore, it is crucial for brands to take in a multitude of expert analyses, insights, and opinions and trust what data and information tell them. Vice President Leni Robredo is our President

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

After an excruciating wait, Vice President Leni Robredo finally announced her bid for the Presidency. She filed her certificate of candidacy for president in the 2022 election earlier today, October 7.

While we witnessed several personalities announce their run for President, and other positions in government, we all can't help but wonder when our favorite government official would declare her run for the highest position in the country.

Thank you po. Sa totoo lang, pinagpray ko na tumakbo kayo, kasi wala na kong nakikitang pag-asa sa bansa base sa mga tatakbo, ngayon I have a ray of hope.

Thank you! For giving us a hope that our country will thrive again.

Ang sarap po sa pakiramdam. May pag asa ang Pilipinas. Salamat ng marami.

True enough, many have longed for the VP to go against the impending forces of the Dutertes and Marcoses, the former who have incompetently made us all miserable with their poor pandemic response and the many words of corruption, added to their fake war on drugs.

We were not happy seeing Ping Lacson,Isko Moreno, and Manny Pacquiao eyeing the position of president because it was very apparent that they were enablers of the Duterte administration, and it was only lately that they've shown some disagreement with Duterte.

After all the killings, abductions, corruption, inefficiency, etc., bulag pa rin sila. Ibang klase…

Kaya it’s really time for change. It’s time to #LetLeniLead2022

Let's choose to stand for what is right. Leni is the best and the most credible candidate we have on the roster to lead our country.

Finally, a glimmer of HOPE. Thank you for hearing us!!

"The "NAIIYAK AKO" phrase entails how hopeless, downhearted, and desperate Filipinos are of a government that cares for its people. Vice President Leni Robredo declaring her intent to run for President gives us the hope that there is always light at the end of this tricky tunnel."

Salamat VP Leni! Many were in tears while watching your announcement this morning! Thank you for fighting and giving us hope!

For sure, hindi magsho-shopping for luxury watches sa Greenbelt, Makati si Leni after nagfile siya ng Certificate of Candidacy for President.

Hindi kamukha nang iba diyan. Mga walang budhi. walang pakiramdam.

I'm looking at you - Bong Go & your padrino/amo, Duterte.

Sources from VP Leni Robredo's camp said, she will run as an independent to show "inclusivity" with supporters from all fronts. But Robredo will not resign as Liberal Party chairperson.

We will vote for Leni Robredo because we don't want to go through that Duterte sh*t again. We witnessed the incompetence of the Duterte government right in front of our eyes even during this pandemic. Let's pick the right leader! Let's pick Leni as our president!

Leni Robredo for president. The last man standing is a WOMAN indeed! Manifesting!
