Was there really "pressured response" on Pharmally's Krizle Grace Mago?

Lawmakers sought to discredit the witness who accused Pharmally of repackaging substandard face shields and switching out their expiry dates after Pharmally officer Krizle Mago disavowed her own testimony confirming the warehouse worker's claim.

Sen. Ping Lacson showed a video of the Sept. 24 Blue Ribbon Committee hearing to belie the testimony of Pharmally officer Krizle Mago in the lower house that her admission regarding the issue of changing the production stickers of face shields was a pressured response. 

"Pressured response"? It was an online Senate hearing. The senators were not by her side to intimidate or pressure her with regards to her testimonies.

The ‘pressure’ is somewhat disputable because she testified virtually. She was not physically present. It would be different because ‘pressure’ would really be apparent if everybody is seeing eye to eye and in flesh.

Mago participated in the Senate BRC hearing online at her home & not at the Senate venue. The video of her during the Senate hearing shows no pressure on her.

We even saw former PS-DBM Undersecretary Christopher Lao smirking when he was being questioned. No pressure there since he was also only present via online conferencing.

Mago, who is now under the custody of the CGGPA, looked pressured when she recanted her previous statement.

Unfortunately for Mago, credibility of a witness diminishes upon recantation of testimony unless proven to have been done under force or coercion - not just mere pressure that all other witnesses went through. She should’ve stood her ground at the Senate earlier. 

What is evident: Mago has been influenced to change her declaration. We can no longer trust what she will say now that she is in the custody of Congress, known allies of the Duterte administration.

Her retraction casts more doubt on what is happening at the House of Representatives than it does what happened at the Senate.

There is no denying that Duterte has has helped make the Marcoses regain their place in the Philippines.

Remember, Duterte allowing the late dictator to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, with very little announcement inspite of several protests? Letting Imelda free inspite of several court convictions? Allowing a Marcos day? And a lot more instances..

The Duterte and this administration is most known for bending the rules and ousting people who blatantly antagonizes him.

Chief Justice Sereno was against his drug war campaign and Marcos burial in Libingan ng mga Bayani

Early on in his administration, President Duterte paved the way for the burial of Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani with full military,  reopening wounds inflicted by his 21-year rule marked by human rights atrocities.

House Bill No. 7137 aimed to declare September 11 a special non-working holiday in observance of “President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos Day” in Ilocos Norte. The Ferdinand Marcos Day in Ilocos got a NO from the National Historical Commission. 

In Aug 30, 1973 Ferdinand Marcos signed Proclamation # 1180 making September 21 "National Thanksgiving Day" even if Martial Law was actually declared on Sept. 23 to mythologize Martial Law & Marcos saving the Republic. Thank you for 34K tortured, Famine of Negros, $28.3B Foreign Debt & $10B stolen.

In Jan 25, 1986, Ferdinand Marcos & Gen. Fabian Ver, when it seemed Cory Aquino can win the 1986 Snap Election, planned bombings so Marcos can once again declare Martial Law called "Operation Everlasting". Explosives on the way to Ver's HQ was intercepted a day before EDSA & the rest is history.

In April 2009, Imelda Marcos was ranked by Newsweek as #8 "Greediest People of All-time". Newsweek wrote “She took $5 million shopping sprees to New York & Rome, reportedly owned the world’s largest collections of gems & 3,000 pairs of shoes,” while Filipinos earn less than $2/day. 

Focus your energy on BBM and Duterte. Join forces and make sure they will not win.  Ang dalawang iyan ang nagpahamak sa atin, nilugmok tayo sa hirap at pambababoy. Never again.

Why is the drug war "an achievement of the Duterte admin?" Data after data, number by number shows that the drug war not only an abysmal failure, but also a big injustice to human rights.

Students protest during Sandro Marcos' turn as speaker of CHED- Cordillera forum

Several students protested against historical revisionism during the Commission on Higher Education Cordillera office Student Congress that featured Sandro Marcos as speaker.

The two-day forum was held to cover the educational concerns of college students. Sandro was invited to speak on “Redefining the Role of Youth in Nation Building.”

The students who joined the CHED-Cordillera forum changed their names when it was Sandro Marcos' turn to talk.

Some participants abruptly changed their names to “Never Again”, “#MarcosMagnanakaw”, and “Archimedes Trajano” in the middle of the session to push back any attempts to revise it..

Akbayan Youth chairperson RJ Naguit, who tweeted these photos of the online protest, said Sandro is "neither a representative of the youth nor has the credibility to talk about nation building."

"It’s disappointing that the Commission on Higher Education provided a platform to this junior dictator whose only interest is to rehabilitate their family’s political power," Naguit added.

The audacity of Sandro Marcos to talk about youth empowerment when in fact, his family killed a generation of young intellectuals and leaders.

Sandro recently revealed his bid to run for the congressional post of Ilocos Norte's first district in the 2022 elections. Meanwhile, his father Bongbong Marcos announced that he will run for president.

Mabuhay ang kabataan na marunong magbigay ng respeto sa karapat-dapat lamang!

Why did CHEd get him as speaker in the first place? Inviting Sandro Marcos was a very wrong move on the part of CHED to begin with. Educator ba siya? The students' reaction is inevitable.

What is there that he can contribute to the youth? I’m no longer expecting extraordinary but at least something basic like any other youth.  What an insult! The students had to endure another Marcos talk hypocrisy. Si Sandro dapat ang makinig sa mga students.

If someone would dare argue that Sandro Marcos doesn't have anything to do with the atrocities his family committed, let me remind you that even he keeps denying what his family did.

First of all he carries "Marcos" which means inenjoy niya yung pera ng mga Pilipino. Whatever comfortable life he has now is due to all of the Filipino taxpayers' money.

Now do we just accept the fact that he should be exempted because he was not born that time and he's a kid?

No. He has social media. The internet is working. He could've used those channels to educate himself, but he turned his eyes off. He's a grown ass man who decided to shrug it off.

He could've rejected the speakership invite instead he accepted it and used the platform to glorify his family stuff.

He knows what he's doing. He is fully aware of his family's agenda. He could've addressed his family's atrocities but just like BBM he denies it. Even if he was not born that time, by how his father denies what he witnessed means that he tells his son there's nothing wrong.
