Whistleblower says Facebook is misleading the public

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Whistleblower says Facebook is misleading the public on progress against hate speech, violence, misinformation.

“The version of Facebook that exists today is tearing our societies apart and causing ethnic violence around the world,” says former Facebook employee France Haugen. She points to Myanmar, where the military used Facebook to launch a genocide.

“When we live in an information environment that is full of angry, hateful, polarizing content, it erodes our civic trust, it erodes our faith in each other, it erodes our ability to want to care for each other."

Facebook whistleblower says the company prioritized profit over public good on '60 minutes'. Could this news be the cause of FB going offline today. Including Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus VR.

Horrible fact about Facebook from whistleblower,

1. Instagram is making kids miserable

2. Facebook only identifies a tiny fraction of hate and misinformation on the platform

3. Facebook’s algorithm intentionally shows users things to make them angry

4.Facebook is worse than most other social media companies

5. Political parties in Europe ran negative ads because it was the only way to reach people on Facebook

More investigation is needed to verify some of this information.

Cant wait till they flag this as fake news that their "sources can confirm is not true"

Anyone using a facebook service after it came out (ten years ago) that they experiment on their users moods is complicit.

The biggest lie: Facebook?

Our mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together." while they are tearing apart societies.

NYT reporter Sheera Frenkel has reported that Facebook employees are even unable to access their own building due to their entry badges failing.

Mark Zuckerberg's personal wealth has dropped by nearly $7 billion in a matter of hours, knocking him down a notch on the list of the world's wealthiest people, as Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram have all gone down.

Mark may need to find another way to destroy humanity after we all.

Also, maybe Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram all going down at once is a good wake-up call that one company should not have THIS much power and control and influence over all of us, right?

"To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we're sorry. We’ve been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us." - Facebook
