Money Making Scams You Need To Avoid

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

You're tired of your 9-5 and just want to make some extra cash. You've tried the usual with no luck - flipping items on eBay, delivering pizzas, or doing surveys online. Then you found an ad for a "sure thing" that promised $1,000/day! Yeah right…

Your intuition was right on this one because there is no such thing as easy money. The scammers are out in full force these days trying to get people like you to sign up for their shady services and give them your hard-earned cash. Don't be fooled by these scams! In this article, we'll cover some of the most common ones so you can avoid getting duped out of your money while looking for more reputable ways to earn.

1. The Nigerian Prince Scam

There are many different types of online scams that try to take advantage of people. The Nigerian Prince Scam is one such form, where a person will receive an email offering money in exchange for providing personal information or even making donations. This sounds too good to be true but unfortunately, these emails can lead you into all sorts of trouble.

The Nigerian Prince Scam is a very common email that promises the recipient an incredible sum of money and lures them into providing personal details or funds. Some people who fall victim to this scam usually wound up trusting their attacker completely because they were so convincing in how much wealth they spoke about having for you if only you sent some initial investment first.

2. The Lottery Scam

The lottery scam is a grisly type of fraud that starts with an unexpected email notification, phone call, or mailing (sometimes including a large check) explaining how you have "won" the big prize. The target should keep this secret as there's been some kind of mix-up in your name and number so they can contact their claims agent who will ask for processing fees or transfer charges before giving out any winnings.

Real lotteries require you to provide proof such as a ticket with the unique code or number printed on it. Keep this in mind when someone approaches asking about your luck at winning the big prize jackpot because they're almost certainly trying to scam you.

The best way to avoid a lottery scam is by asking yourself if you've ever joined any lotteries. Be cautious most especially when someone asks for money in order to claim your prize, that's a clear sign they're probably trying to scam you of your hard-earned cash!

3. The Paypal Scam

PayPal is a great way to send money, but not if you get scammed. Scam artists are always looking for new ways in which they can steal your personal information and then use it against you.

What many people don't know is that Paypal scams may often look like an official email. They are written and designed so it will seem like it’s your legitimate correspondence from the sender - when really they're only after one thing: information about you!

The criminals will use the same branding, colors, and wording that is found on the official PayPal website in an attempt to make it seem as if you are actually looking at a legitimate site. They may even replicate some aspects so well-replicated that they could fool users into thinking this was what everyone sees every day when using Paypal.

4. Pyramid/Ponzi schemes

A Ponzi scheme is an illegal, predatory investment operation that uses recent investor funds to pay off older ones. The fraudsters lure potential victims by promising high returns for minimal investments; however, these payments are actually coming from other participants in the scam who have been duped into thinking they’re getting their money's worth out of legitimate business activity like product sales or successful bets on sports games.

The name comes from Charles Ponzi who started fraudulently promising returns for their clients with other people's money he collected through early investors participating in what they thought was going towards some sort of financial success story but actually had only deducted costs like travel expenses or office rent until eventually, none remained after all payments were made back plus interest owed onto those initial depositors.

The world of cryptocurrency is a hotbed for scammers and con artists. There are many online platforms that offer high returns on investment with no risk, but these schemes can easily turn into Ponzis if you don't verify your information before investing - meaning they take more than just the money from subsequent investors to pay first claimants like yourself back at some point during their scheme's lifespan.

5. Online Gaming scams

Online games can be a great way to meet new people and have fun, but as the number of online gamers continues to rise there's also risk involved in playing. With these risks come potential scams that may target you or your family members- especially young children who may not know any better about staying safe while gaming.

Online Gaming Scams are everywhere! I can't even count the amount that I've seen or experienced in my time online. You have to be careful and smart about who you trust if an offer seems too good, promising quick easy money without any work required on your behalf or anything else really worth having for free; because it just might not be what they say is happening at all.

Online gaming is one of the biggest industries in today's modern society but it has also been targeted by scammers who use fake online assets to lure people into their schemes. These scams can come from anything, like dialing or fraudulent betting sites where users lose money that was supposed to go towards acquiring more legitimate game-playing credits for purchase within an app store.

To avoid being scammed online while gaming, do your research and vet the sites you're visiting to make sure that they are trustworthy. To help with this process for those who don't know how or have time on their hands check out sites like Empire27 forum where there will be resources available that can lead them down a safe path towards playing games safely without getting ripped off.

We hope this article has helped you avoid some of the most common money-making scams. If you're still not sure if something is a scam, do your best to research it before giving any personal information or signing up for anything. Scams can be very convincing and seem like they are legitimate opportunities, when in reality they are just designed to take advantage of people's desperation or lack of knowledge.

Senator Francis Tolentino says Duterte should refrain from defending his friends in the Pharmally scam

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

"Duterte should refrain from defending his “friends” tagged in the multi-billion government contracts with Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. and let the investigation proceed, Senator Francis Tolentino said."

A former Aquino ally turned DDS and enabler. And now this?!

Is he playing the squid game? Is the boat sinking? Is the ink in this stamp pad drying out?

For all intents and purposes, this is good:

Tolentino also pushed for the passage of a bill he filed seeking to institutionalize the “Filipino First” policy in the government procurement system.

Lalo na at nabisto na Wala Naman palang kakayahan ang Pharmally na gawin ang contracted deal kundi nakisosyo si Davao-based Chinese Michael Yang, a known close friend of Duterte and allegedly involved in drug trafficking and smuggling activities.

Basta just let Pharmally and PS-DBM/DOH officials defend themselves, and if they are truly innocent they should be able to convincingly explain. Kung hindi nila maipaliwanag ng maayos o ayaw nilang sagutin Ang mga tanong at walang maipakitang dokumento na nagpapatunay na walang swindling at fraud, then they are obviously guilty as accused.

The Senate is just doing its job. Do not let the old man from Davao say otherwise. It's not the job of the President to act as lawyer of anybody. Just as it is not his job to do auditing of government agencies if he wants to be pursue his run as a VP, another violation of the constitution...but he keeps on using the loophole as an excuse.

Overall, Duterte's rants against his detractors and those who seek.answers from his non-transparent administration is all uncalled for and unpresidential. He is not even fit to be a  Baranggay tanod, otherwise our baranggay will be in chaos...What more the country?

We are actually seeing it already as the Philippines is among the least effective, if not a total failure, in their response to this pandemic.

Breaking the bogus: Are surveys commissioned mind-conditioning tools used to influence us?

Wazzup Pilipinas!?

Mayor Sara Duterte's Spox and Liloan Cebu Mayor Christina Frasco says the latest Pulse Asia Survey indicates that the people see in Mayor Sara "the President that we need and the President that we can trust."

If Sara runs, then she lost her word of honor saying only one Duterte will run in the national election....unless Digong is not really running for VP. Btw, history will say that not all who lead on surveys do win.

Has anyone been a respondent to any survey? Most likely no. Sample sizes are small relative to size of the population. If you were buying lanzones by the basket, you won’t  try every fruit to see if they’re sweet. You’d test with a sample of one. And that’s how a survey works.

Paano nga ba nila pinipili yung respondents lalo ngayong pandemic? Online ba? Random? Naghihintay nga rin ako ma-contact eh. Gustong-gusto ko sumagot ng mga pa-survey na yan lalo na yung FalseAsia.

My favorite analogy in explaining survey research is that of blood testing. Just a quick prick and a few drops, no need to extract so much blood, to know your blood type.

While we may not be able to trust Pulse Asia, saying that you’ve never been surveyed isn’t an indicator of it being bogus.

However, former Senator Sonny Trillanes says Pulse Asia keeps insisting to use respondents of Davao City to represent the whole Mindanao population.

"That is clearly a sampling design error and, therefore, invalid. Pulse Asia, historically, keeps on insisting to use respondents of Davao City to generalize or represent the population for the whole Mindanao. This is not valid anymore..."

So there could really be a way to manipulate survey results.

Similarly, if you do the survey in Ilocos, BBM will surely lead in his turf.

'False' Asia once came out with Duterte's satisfaction net rating at 88%! Whereas, SWS few days ago released their survey at 45%, and showed the continuing decline based on the last two quarters.

How can Pulse Asia be so missing the ball having a huge difference compared with the results of another survey firm?

How comfortable to use their data when it favors your agenda and how easy it is to discredit their company when it doesn't.

The probable reason is that misinformed kasi mga tao dahil sa mga paid trolls ng gobyerno. Ang laki ng mga hindi maipaliwanag na pinaggamitan ng pondo... From the "intelligence fund" of the president to the pandemic response funds, walang transparency on how these funds were used.

Remember when Facebook announced they found several FB pages operating propaganda activities for the Dutertes.

Duterte even threatened Facebook saying the said pages were "advocacy" groups, as if admitting he is aware that the government uses them and thus could really be on their payroll.

In any case, we should not let surveys influence us especially if we have set our heart and mind on the right people. Don't let the popularity or winnability  of certain candidates decide on our choice.
