This contest is open to anyone who purchases a Yoga Family product at any participating resellers in the Philippines. From now till August 31, 2017, eligible participants need to submit and fill-up details by following the steps below:

·         Take a photo/scan your purchase receipt (sales invoice or official receipt)

Lenovo Philippines will select six (6) top participants from all the entries submitted. The Top 6 entries will be sent to the regional level to compete with the other participating countries for a chance to win the Holiday Travel Package to France worth Php 400,000.

What’s more, Lenovo is kicking off a two-week Facebook contest giving all fans in the Philippines a chance to win cool prizes.

To participate, fans simply need to answer simple questions by looking for clues in three Lenovo product videos on Facebook. The top five local entries for each of the three “Spot & Win” contests, as determined by the most number of “Likes,” will win a Sodexo voucher worth Php 1,000.

Robin Catalan Unfazed of Thai Opponent’s Caliber, Vows to Pick Up Second-straight Win

Robin “The Ilonggo” Catalan may not have gotten the best start under the ONE Championship banner, but after snagging his first promotional win last April, he is hungry for more.

However, a tough test awaits Catalan as he is slated to lock horns with former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke on the undercard of ONE: QUEST FOR GREATNESS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday, 18 August.

Catalan is expected to have his hands full as he shares the ONE Championship cage with Dejdamrong, who is a three-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion with over 25 years of competitive experience.

Having a professional record of 7-2, Dejdamrong is known as a technical striker with quick hands and lightning feet, employing some of the most unique and creative combinations.

Even though Catalan is a striker by nature with his Wushu-Sanda pedigree, his opponent is a living legend in the discipline known as “The art of eight limbs.”

“I know he is much more experienced than me, and I look up to that. I also admire his striking skills. It is one of the things we are cautious about,” he said.

The 27-year-old Iloilo City native might have a tall order in front of him in Dejdamrong, but he remains unperturbed with the fact that the most challenging bout in his young career is ahead of him.

“I don’t see it as a problem. To me, this is a challenge that can bring out the best in me. The core of martial arts is to unleash a human’s true potential. I want to know my potential in this sport. That’s why I am happy to be in this bout against a talented competitor and a former champion like him,” Catalan stated.

Adding fuel to Catalan’s hunger for a win is the fact that Dejdamrong knocked out his older brother, Rene, back in December 2014.

“It is one of my goals, to get back a win for him. I will play to my strengths, and I will even go head-to-head with his strengths. If I can submit him, it will be a satisfying win for me, for sure,” he claimed.

Although a victory over Dejdamrong would undoubtedly be a marquee moment in Catalan’s career, the night of 18 August holds even greater significance as Rene is competing as well and will open ONE: QUEST FOR GREATNESS against Chinese grappling prodigy Bu Huo You Ga.

This is the first time the siblings will be featured at a ONE Championship event together, and they plan to make it a night they will never forget.

“We have the same aim of winning. So making it two for two on this card will make this extra special,” he ended.

DOTr Commends Airport Cop Who Assisted Distressed OFW

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) today commended Airport Police Officer Joebert Besonia who helped an OFW reach her flight last August 11 at the NAIA Terminal 3.

DOTr Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports Manuel Antonio L. Tamayo expressed the DOTr's utmost gratitude to Besonia for going out of his way to assist Mary Jane Abalos, an OFW from Bahrain.

“The action of Airport Police Officer Besonia is worth being emulated by other airport personnel and civil servants. This only proves that there are still government servants who are dedicated to their sworn duties,” Tamayo said.

Usec. Tamayo also commended Manila International Airports Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal for being able to push positive reforms at the NAIA.

"The act of Besonio is a symbol of the kind of training and values that GM Ed Monreal imparted to MIAA staff," he said.

Last 11 August 2017, Abalos landed at the wrong terminal and did not know how to get to NAIA Terminal 3 without missing her flight. Besonia, upon seeing the distressed OFW, hurriedly offered assistance, informing Abalos that there is an airport loop shuttle bus that can bring her to NAIA Terminal 3.

However, Abalos told Besonia that she had no more Philippine peso to pay for the bus fare. Without hesitation, the airport police officer willingly gave PhP20 to pay for her fare.

Besonia, 27, joined the Manila International Airport Authority Police Department (APD) in 8 October 2014 and is a member of APD Batch ’14.
