Indio Extended Play – It Again

Music is the language of youth today. It is a way of communicating, and ultimately, it has become an anti-depression, a way for broken people to express, a way to heal, and gigs have become a venue to escape from reality. In the uprising of indie music, Indio has been creating lyrics and melodies all from their heart to produce music that would best express the perspective of a youth about life and what could they be facing – identity crisis, clashing commitments, emptiness, and many other frustrations. With the help of Parayaoski Production, these songs were given opportunity to be showcased. Following Indio's EP Launch held last June 11, 2016, Indio will play their EP (The Consequences of Dreaming) songs again on October 24, 2016, 7PM at the home of underground bands, Black King's Bar, West Avenue, QC. 

Indio is an alternative-rock band formed in November 2015 whose songs tell about the consequences of dreaming. One is, Habagat Amihan, a folk rock song about fate, desires ultimately turning to a hurricane that leads to shattering. Two: Sino Ka, about not knowing yourself anymore. And three, Alexis, the believing and doubting of the self's ability to succeed. They believe that songs are stories, real ones, and should convey something that can cause a revolution. The young band currently consists of lead vocalist Jen Darlene Torres, drummer Niño Miguel Abesamis, and guitarists Ryan Alexis Abesamis and Al Bryan Zabala.

Discovery Channel Takes to the Road and Outer Space this October

October will also see the return of the much-awaited Space Week. Indulge in daily exploration of the mysteries of the universe and mankind’s bold attempts to understand it in Space Week, from October 3 to 9, Monday to Sunday, 9.50 p.m.

Follow the internet’s favorite astronaut, Chris Hadfied, as he gives a tour around the International Space Station in The Man Who Tweeted the Earth. Chris is a Canadian astronaut who tweets, snaps photos and regularly connects with folks back home even as he hurtles at 28,000 km an hour in orbit. Discovery and Hadfield will rekindle our love for spacemen by featuring past, present and future astronauts and even expert scientific collaborators. This is the first-ever documentary produced that has its star subject actively in orbit. The Man Who Tweeted the Earth will premiere on October 4, Tuesday, at 9:50 p.m.

Idris Elba

From space exploration, Discovery goes on to fast cars with Idris Elba: No Limits. Since childhood, Idris was obsessed with speed and wanted to immerse himself in the world of fast machines. The show follows this racer as he tries his hand on rally driving, drag racing, aerobatics, and even an attempt to beat a Land Speed Record that hasn’t been broken since 1927. Idris will push himself to the absolute limit as he is challenged not only to master his skills but also understand the engineering behind his machines. With the help of racing legends Jimmy McRae and Ari Vatanan, and modern-day sporting stars Antron Brown and Ed Cyster, the question is – will he be headed for a podium finish?
