Domex Launches Germ Busters to Celebrate World Toilet Day

Unilever Philippines and its leading household cleaning brand, Domex, spearheaded the annual celebration of World Toilet Day with a series of activities, including the launch of Germ Busters—teams of public health workers who will help maintain safe, germ-free public rest rooms while educating people on how diseases can be prevented through proper sanitation.

Domex’s celebration of World Toilet Day 2013 is part of the recently launched One Million Clean Toilets Movement, an advocacy campaign geared towards collecting a total one million pledges from private households to conscientiously maintain their own clean, safe, and hygienic bathrooms by the next World Toilet Day in November 2014.

Highlights of the event, which calls for nationwide action to sanitize toilets, included a turnover of cleaning kits to and pledge of commitment among Germ Busters from the PPHA and a ceremonial clean up at one of the city hall’s public comfort rooms. The event was attended by top officials and representatives of program partners Unilever Philippines, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the Philippine Public Health Association (PPHA).

Artistang Artlets, the official theater guild of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Santo Tomas, on its 33rd season is proud to bring you its 1st Minor Production this coming December.

Dyip is written by Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature awardee, Christian Tordecillas. It will be directed by Jerome Paul Ladan and produced by Therese Renee Janine Zialcita and will be staged at the Albertus Magnus Auditorium, Education Building, University of Santo Tomas on December 4, 5 and 6, 2013. Time slots are 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

The play, if set aside by other typical Filipino plays about politics, will give a different dimension with a humorous twist that will surely relate with the viewers.

NBA to Launch “Jingle Hoops” Ad Campaign Featuring LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, James Harden, Steve Nash and Stephen Curry

Following the success of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) “BIG Color” holiday campaign in 2012, the league announced today the continuation of the BIG holiday tradition by unveiling a new “BIG Logo” platform tied to the marquee Christmas Day matchups. As part of the holiday campaign, adidas will unveil new uniforms featuring team logos that all 10 teams will wear on Wednesday, Dec. 25.

The campaign will include a TV spot titled “Jingle Hoops” to promote the jerseys featuring six players: the Miami Heat’s LeBron James, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant, the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose, the Houston Rockets’ James Harden, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Steve Nash and the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry. On the heels of last year’s award-winning “BIG Color” campaign that garnered more than eight million YouTube views, the featured players recreate the wintertime classic “One-horse Open Sleigh” through a series of choreographed three-point shots – all while dressed in their “BIG Logo” uniforms.
