Kuya Manzano Stars As A Spanish Priest in Amor Y Fuerte

The only born and raised in Spain professional actor in the Philippines, Kuya Manzano, gets a “tonsure” for a priestly role in Cinemalaya 2013’s "Amor y Muerte" (Love and Death) under the direction of Cesar Evangelista and written By Jerry Gracio.

The film is an erotic period drama wherein a half Spanish soldier (Markki Stroem) falls in love and marries an india (Althea Vega).

Kuya Manzano plays the role of Fray Santiago, a Spanish priest who disapproves the way the Filipinas behave in intimacy and their wantoness when it comes to human desires. He is set on making the Indios full of moral fiber and finesse.

Candidates were ranked 80% from the closed door pre judging and 20% for the coronation night. Over all on the competition period of 18 days. They were rated on their character, participation on activities, intelligence, beauty and talent.

Koreen Medina got 6 minor awards, Mutya ng Sheridan, Mutya ng Lancaster, Mutya ng Crimson, Mutya ng Careline of Ever Bilena, Mutya ng Zen Institute, Best in Talent and Top 2 Best in Swimwear. She did her best to fullfill her dreams.Sumakit lang ang ulo ng karamihan sa mga sagot ng contestants sa Question and Answer portion! Walang binatbat sa Q & A ng Super Sireyna of Eat Bulaga!
