DOTC to Make Commuting in Metro Manila More Convenient

Wazzup Pilipinas!

An exhaustive, two (2)-year effort to gather and organize previously-unavailable data on buses, jeepneys, and trains in Metro Manila has been completed by the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), now making it possible for commuters to plan their trips more efficiently and conveniently.

The initiative of building the Philippine Transit Information Service (PTIS) began in 2011, at a time when the Transport agency could not immediately provide certain essential information to commuters, such as the best route to take at a particular time, as well as the travel times involved.

“The need to gather reliable data at that time in order to deliver convenient and efficient services to the public was immediately recognized and pursued,” explained DOTC spokesperson Migs Sagcal.

Wazzup Filipinas? : Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino Urges the Use of Filipinas Instead of Pilipinas

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Or should I say Wazzup Filipinas!

Please spread this let more and more Filipino know about this fresh breaking news from the "Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino"

To unite Filipinos through a better sense of history, the country's language commission has decided to stop using the name “Pilipinas” to refer to the country, and to use the name “Filipinas” instead.

“Ipinapasya, gaya ng ginagawang pagpapasiya ngayon, na ibalik ang gamit ng 'Filipinas' habang pinipigil ang paggamit ng 'Pilipinas' upang mapalaganap ang opisyal at modernisadong katawagan ng bansa na kumikilala sa kasaysayan at pag-unlad ng pagkabansa nito,” the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) said in a resolution dated April 12, which is going viral this weekend.

(We resolved, as we hereby resolve, to revive the use of “Filipinas” while stopping the use of “Pilipinas” to promote the official and modern name of the country, which recognizes its history and national development.)

My Glad to Be Globe Story : Just Got Really Lucky

Wazzup Pilipinas!

I'm glad to be one among the many subscribers and fans of Globe ....and I'm especially lucky indeed to have taken a greater role and opportunity to say out loud and proud that I made the right choice of switching from my previous mobile network.

I may not be "Smart" anymore, but I'm more comfortable I'm with the telecoms company that's more "Globe-ally" competitive in terms of infrastructure and service,a nd one that does not let their customers over-subscribed even though their system couldn't really handle the load, and their customer service sucks big time.

Wouldn't you rather be the second one?
