Kitchen's Best "Heavenly" Anniversary Dessert Buffet

"There goes my diet!"

"Amalayer" if I would say that I did not enjoy each bite of every dessert variations and clever sweet concoctions available during the buffet. It was simply heavenly and dreamy!

No, wait! It was like a paradise of unlimited desserts where all you do is eat all day and get fat! Ha ha ha !

Too bad my belly could only take so little, I would have stayed until 6 pm....and if I had no other event to attend to that day scheduled at 6 pm in Makati, I could have rested awhile and ate some more after a few minutes (Lol!).The travel time from BGC to Makati would take at least 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the traffic situation.

I'm serious! But if the body is too weak already, the mind could no longer control it. Such wasted sweets.

Seriously (now I'm very serious), the sweets served at the dessert buffet would make you wanna ignore whatever diet restrictions you have. Indulge and enjoy and be merry!

So when I felt I wouldn't be able to taste them all....such a shame - I decided to taste half of everything else ....for review purposes!

My favorite, as always, were the desserts balanced with some slices of fruits, like the Strawberry Kiwi, Mango Tarnette and the Mango Royale.

I prefer the balance fruits give to the sweet portion of the dessert. Too much sweet is terribly boring, so I want something to even up the taste and flavor

For a little bit of history, here's their press release all about the origins of Kitchen's Best..

Kitchen's Best opened its doors to their loyal customers with a Dessert Buffet worthy of an audience with the fabled Marie Antoinette herself.

Kitchen’s Best Home Patisserie prided themselves on serving fresh, home-baked, award- winning cakes and pastries that are irresistible and extraordinary using only the highest quality ingredients.

Their passion for modern-nostalgic cakes and pastries began as child’s play. Inspired by the family’s travels and both grandmothers’ excellent cooking, they spent hours in the kitchen, baking and experimenting on food.

First plate couldn't manage to carry every kind of dessert available on display

Second plate was a bit more conservative as compared to the first plate

In 1991, their hobby turned into a home- based business. Then only 16 years old, Chef Roselyn Tiangco led her sisters Martina and Berna into the world of bazaars. Berna and Martina manned the booth while Roselyn baked. It wasn’t before long that Kitchen’s Best was discovered, thus expanding their small home kitchen to supply many of Manila’s leading establishments with iconic desserts.

From Bon Appetite Patisserie & Café, Coffee Barnyard, Press Café, and Bo’s Café, to Whistle Stop, SM Supermarket, and Rustan’s Supermarket, their cakes and pastries soon made their way into the city’s private homes. From there, Kitchen’s Best grew into a patisserie and café. In September 2008, they formally opened at Karrivin Plaza on Pasong Tamo Extension. What was intended to be a pastry pick-up point and showroom soon accommodated a small in-house eating area. After 6 months of operation, they moved to a bigger location (also within the Karrivin Plaza com- pound), which now accommodates 30 guests. In November 2011, they expanded the business to include a Bonifacio Global City location, at an expansive 187 square meters (to seat 120).

Aside from our renowned cakes and pastries, they also specialize in home-cooked comfort food. These favorite slow-cooked dishes that they grew up with are prepared simply and with fresh ingredients. Some of their ‘must-try’s’ include the Cheesy Chorizo Dip, 40 Clove Chicken, Baked Salmon, and Wild Mush- room Pasta.
