Panasonic Rental Summit Showcases Staging, Events Rental and Digital Advertisement Solutions

Wazup Pilipinas!

At first I thought that the most popular and highly bought product would be the one that exhibits all the best qualities and usefulness. However, I was proved wrong several times as we would really get what we paid for if we settle for a brand that has mass appeal only because it is available at a lower price.

Usually, the ones that get the most sales are the ones that would not last long making the purchase actually costing you more because you would need to buy a new one to replace the quickly turned defective or dead product.

We should prefer a brand that would make us feel more relaxed and secure and give us less of the stress that we experience every time a product conks out and needs to be brought to the service center for repair.

As compared to a product bought with a higher value, it is much better and less of a hassle if it will continuously run well for years, and with less maintenance requirements.

I see those qualities from Panasonic products especially when I've learned that their projectors  consume less electricity as compared to other brands in the market.

The very first Panasonic Rental Summit held on March 17 at the grand ballroom of the City of Dreams was a showcase of Panasonic products used for Staging, Events Rental and Digital Advertisements like Projection Mapping.

Panasonic organized and sponsored the 3D Projection Mapping on the University of Santo Tomas Main Building during the Paskuhan 2015 last December 18. The UST Paskuhan event is the very first time of Panasonic Philippines to do such big project using eight units of PT-DZ21K2, it is the combination of heritage and technology in our modern times. Through a 3D Christmas video mapping on the façade of the university’s main building, Panasonic mounted a show presenting the nativity scene combined with animated UST icons and messages and other Yuletide symbols.

If compared to the another brand that did an almost similar attempt on a building somewhere in Pasig, many would say that the competing projector brand was rather small scale and of unimpressive low quality.

The audience at the City of Dreams Rental Summit event were mostly partner companies who uses Panasonic equipment for their company requirements in providing services like the lady I met from OptimumShow namely Elsa Zaldarriaga, the company's President and CEO. She told me their company was responsible for the light and sound mapping show at the Emilio Aguinaldo shrine in Cavite.

"As part of the 117th Philippine Independence celebration, the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Local Government of Kawit, Cavite have partnered for the monumental lighting and video mapping show of the iconic Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite, in order to raise the standard of monument lighting and presentation of buildings.

The 18th century national monument will be seen in a completely new light, through an audio-visual staging that makes use of video mapping technology. Also known as “projection mapping” or “spatial augmented reality,” video mapping uses digitally-produced images based on the architectural lines of a structure to tell a story, create an impression, and bring any structure to life."

The lighting and video mapping of the Aguinaldo Shrine is a project of the DOT through the initiative of the LGU of Kawit, Cavite and implemented by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) and OptimumShow Philippines, Inc. The project is also supported by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).

It's amazing to find out I was seating right beside the lady behind the company who lit up the Aguinaldo Shrine to an epic level. The lighting and video mapping show of the Aguinaldo Shrine is the first time to be displayed on a national heritage site in our country. A state-of-the-art, avant-garde show of our history, it told the story of who we are as a people in a single, fluid, audio-visual narrative.

Aside from the projectors, many other Panasonic products were available for display, and knowledgeable staff from Panasonic were all eager to explain the features. The products from the Broadcast and Pro AV showed their different video camera models as well as the CCTV products.

I also had an opportunity to interview Genaro "Pari" Castro Jr., the Group Manager from the Systems Solutions Group of Panasonic Philippines. We had an iteresting discussion about their products and his insights on the future of Panasonic. He announced special promos and discounts for their partners during the Partners' Night so I'm sure there were a lot of cmpanies who took advantage of the opportunity. I will upload the video interview soon at our YouTube channel at http://www.YouTube.com/user/wazzuppilipinas
